Good looking hounds you have yourself. Kennels too. I've recently moved, so I'm watching all the videos I can on new kennels. My old house had kennels when I bought it. My hounds stayed out. They were for bird dogs or something calmer than I own ( I own plotts bear,hog, walkerfox and beagle's) Concrete started busting. Mess! TY for sharing your kennels. If ya ever come to TN.bring them dogs. My daddy has a 75 acre rabbit pen. It's a good run.

Nice set up sir. I have many kennels I took a break for a few years . I just got a 20x20 I'm gonna build it slowly roof and al and yours has gave me great ideas. I have bulldogs and shorty bulls ans a couple smal game dog hog dogs. Love your set up your dogs are living the best life . I'm in Northern Alabama
Northern North Carolina . I cut a piece of plywood to fit the curve of the barrel to give the dog a flat place to lay . During cold months I keep lots of cedar shavings in the barrel . But one funny note . Even on the coldest nights the dogs sleep at the opening on the barrel .
we start our pups in a rabbit pen with a older dog . Once the pup figures out the smell of a rabbit we remove the older dog and allow the puppy to have to have all the track . since we have such a big pack we add dogs slowly into the pack with the puppy till we have all of them incorporated . sometimes a new dog works out and sometimes it don't . Two or three dogs is really all you need to keep a rabbit moving. (KEY) Having a good place to run your dog all year long is most helpful .

I think it was around $800.00. Concrete should cost around $150.00 per yard if you get as much a 5 Total yards. If you get less it may run $200-225.00 per yard . Here's the formula I used to figure how much concrete it would take . Length x Width x depth 4" then divide by 327. This should give you a really close idea of the amount of concrete needed . A 10'x12' area x 4" divided by 327 should be 1.46 yards . You would order 1.5 yards of concrete. The concrete plant can also figure the amount for you and I always have them double check my figures. .Good luck .

Yes, put plastic under your concrete dog lot , if you don’t it will sweat .

If I get my concrete from Lowes which bags should I get ?
80lbs bags Quikrete. remember the size of the bag is going to be about the same area it will cover when you pour it .
