- Is Gunfight coming to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 in Season 01 Roadmap? Gunfight was the game mode from Modern Warfare 2019 that changed everything and we are waiting to see if it will return in Season 01 of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II 2022.

Me too, I wish I had the money, to create a game just like gunfight from the ground up, and sell it on steam. 3 lane maps,. Free to play model. Same loadies. Matchmaking al that. It's such a simple concept. But it was way too successful. Besides warzone, gunfight was the only reason to play cod other then warzone, cyber attack is cool too but why is it a LTM IN WARZONE 2 RIGHT NOW , REALLY SUCKS, BECAUSE GUNFIGHT WIILL PROBABLY BE AN LTM AS WELL for fucks. Sake
I’m grinding out Orion camo right now and it’ll be kind of a let down to not be able to use it in gunfight, because that’s all I’ll be playing when it’s released. It would be nice if they made an option to use your own camos somehow.
gunfight reminds me of 2v2 snd gamebattles matches back in cod4 and mwr
I literally bought the game for this mode, it’s so perfect. I’m very much hoping it gets added to the game because I’m tired of Warzone already

A friend and I only play gunfight, basically since the launch of new Modern Warfare 1. For me personally buying this game entirely depends on wether they add GF or not. I'm not even at all interested in any of the other gamemodes. Wish they or some other developer launched a spinoff / new IP that only contains GF. 1v1 2v2 3v3 and maybe 4v4 depending on mapsize. Because honestly I hate the fact that I need 1xxGB and pay for the full game and only play a miniscule part of said game.
I agree gunfight is amazing and idk why they didn’t just release it off launch. I’ve been a cod fan my whole life and I started playing as a kid Since Call of duty World at War. Personally I’ve always loved grinding on multiplayer, but it fell off in the last couple of years. I feel like gunfight really did bring that more competitive edge and suspense back to multiplayer and it was executed extremely well in 2019. They need to bring it back ASAP.

Gunfight was not in MW3… it was face off with just small 3v3 and 2v2 maps. Totally different.
I knew it wasn't going to be on at launch but they did say it would be added which is the entire reason I bought this game still waiting let's hope for not much longer

100% agree with you. How come nobody talks about bringing back gunfight?? As @eclectic jon 101 said, gunfight is the best thing that's happened to cod in years. I was SO disappointed when I realized it wasn't there at launch. Let's pray 🙏 it will be there on nov.16th., it's a must!
They did say that it will be coming back to modern warfare 2 luckily! Unfortunately, they never gave a date for when that would be. It is kind of concerning though, because they would need to build specific maps for it, and they have not announced anything about that yet.

@@JerrysTalks Each to their own, but at this point I'm having more fun in Cold War than MW2, which is a bad sign. That, and Steam reviews are also very low for a AAA title when most reach at least 75% positive ratings (especially when you consider the fact that Steam ratings are usually pretty skewed towards the positive end of the spectrum, even for universally panned games). When a game reaches "mixed", it's generally a sign it has MAJOR issues that need to be addressed.
The main playerbase in CoD doesn't like Gunfight because it takes away all of the beginner-friendly mechanics - namely scorestreaks, perks and operator skills (something usually exclusive to Treyarch games). They also don't get to use their meta loadouts and skins - that's actually the reason I hear most often (tHiS moDe iS GArBagE bRO, i Can'T eVeN UsE mY oWn wEApOn 😭).
Long story short:
The reason for it's irrelevance is that you have to be in possession of half a brain to enjoy it - a trait that 80-90% of the CoD community is sadly lacking.

I think it’s cuz they don’t want to pull players from warzone. We’ve seen that they want to force us to focus on certain things. That’s why they are taking all the good modes from warzone 1 so people will be forced to play warzone 2. I think they know gun fight is popular. But think warzone is more so and want to make sure everyone is playing warzone 2 and not split with gun fight.
2v2 gunfight is all i play on modern warfare, i have 180000 gunfight kills and i think its the most in the world and i was ranked top 5 mp wins globally before the hackers took over the leaderboards
