Just helped my grandparents buy a 2017 BMW i3 BEV. They love it so far! Would love a video with all the aftermarket work you've done to your car. Amazon links would help tremendously as well. Thank you so much for this video😁👍🏼
Nice review; I'm heading out for one this weekend. I have had 8 BMWs so far, and the road feel is something I like. When I bought my first, a 325 in 1989, the salesman said "BMW wants you to know, when you drive over a coin on the road, whether it was a nickel or a dime".
Cool video. Greetings from USA. Seattle area. We've also got 6 months in our 2017 REX (33kwh). 10,000 miles. Only used about 10 gallons petrol. ...However, if not for the REX option, we would have resorted to our 20mpg SUV for weekend trips and burnt 100 gallons more. So far, car has been flawless at 36,000 miles total. Not sure of UK, but consumers here are completely confused by ICE, hybrid, PHEV, range extender and BEV. Smart, educated people still think the standard Prius requires plugging in🙄. I love spending just $1.50 for my 50 mile commute of cheap hydroelectric power.
hi good review, like the car a lot .I had a i3s for 3 months as a courtesy car after my kona was written off,it's a great car apart from the seats are not very supportive or comfy also the view out the back is bad so having a camera is a must, very sporty and the fact is it will not rot will mean it will hold its value for a long time keep up the good work :)
Glad to hear that you are enjoying the car. The i3 is a big change from the Leaf and your previous American muscle cars but I think most petrolheads find the i3 completely addictive.
Go cart fun good description i3 reminds me of the 1960s fun Mini 😂👏Dinosaur juice' Were did you get the badge want one for new our i3s 😁🌍💚 had our 2018 i3 3 years 55k faultless just 1 brief service! I give the i3 9 out of 10 it grows on you 😁 I quote'' car tester from London! Best electric car out! said the i3s was more fun around town than the Porsche Taycan or even a Tesla!!!! Would add BMW are doing some amazing deals on new i3's got our i3s cheaper than lesser BEVs 😁🌍 Keep up the good work. Buzz off toxic
Great to hear your thoughts. I've driven an i3s at the EV experience centre in Milton Keynes, and found it a bit harsh, so would go for a standard model. One thing I wondered about, with the lack of ability to change regen level, is it tiring using the accelerator on a long journey, because you can't take your foot off and coast?
Mine has Cruise control and adaptive cruise so it simply follows the speed and brakes for you. I’ve found no tiredness with the one pedal drive.... love it !
No, the front door has to be open on the latch before you can open the rear. Possibly one of its flaws. Saying that , there is a pull lever in that back of the front seats that allow you to push the seat back forward. You would then be able to reach the front door handle.
Nice review...I am looking at this exact model used and was wondering how tall you are, I am 6'2 and was wondering if it is comfortable for someone my size...Beautiful little car and I think it would in the long run save me a lot of money...My work is only a mile and a half away so full electric charge would last me a long time.
2018 Rex with 51000 miles on the clock .
I’m not a BMW FAN but I love this car.
Same as me ! Please Subscribe 👍🏻

The turning circle will surprise you in comparison to other, larger BMW’s👍🏻
Thanks for the insight. Great stuff

I’ve owned some heavy powered V8 Musclecars and the i3 is just as much fun off the lights and around town 👍🏻⚡️⚡️

like the phone holder where did it come from please
eBay U.K..... it’s still ok a year on.
If you are in the back and your driver is incapacitated can you open a rear door in an emergency?? I still call them 'coach doors '.

You would be ok as the seats drop and go back pretty well. Steering wheel also has adjustment. GO FOR IT !!
Thanks. I live local to you and am hoping to get one soon.
Go for it…. Great car and the turning circle is excellent.
great video, how loud is the REX ?
same as this ? ua-cam.com/video/arD_Cq_f6Fw/v-deo.html
sounds like road works
It can be heard when stopped but only sounds like a small bike is behind you. When going forward you don’t hear it.
Please checkout my other one year review and other i3 content on the channel👍🏻
