I've just noticed that quite a few Metro stations are the full or partial names of stations on other Networks or National Rail stations with some of these being Chichester, Haymarket, Ilford Road, Kingston Park, Monument, Northumberland Park and University.
I had not realised there were that many stations served by both the green and yellow services outside of Newcastle city centre. I have also thought an extension west from St James should be built as it is a strange place to end the line.
I have only been on the Metro a few times but didn't realise there are 60 stations which is more than the DLR in London. Sunderland stations is both a Metro and National Rail station as the Metro, Northern and Grand Central use the same track and platforms.
The metro and National Rail services at Sunderland do use the same track but the Metro uses a different platform section to the National Rail services as the Metro uses the south end of the platforms. There are 2 tracks/platform faces at Sunderland but the platforms are numbered 1, 2 ,3 and 4.

Are these videos getting redone with CRS codes added, for similar videos too?
I still would like to go on the Tyne and Wear Metro. As I never been on them before.
If you can you should try and use the Tyne and Wear Metro before the current trains are replaced.
Yep. The Tyne and Wear Metro Class 555 are coming into service from next year.
