I have the Samsung A01 and I tried to move some apps to my SD card and none showed the option to change. I followed your steps but it wouldn't work.

Same here. Quite frustrating, as I am out of onboard storage and can't even perform updates without deleting apps. And some of the pre-installed apps can't be deleted. Awful phone. Just awful.

Hello, I've followed all the steps and all I get "Not enough storage" even though I have a lot of space on both internal and SD card

Only thing is that after I was done and tried to change the apps from the internal storage to the sd card, the 'change' button was there, but still saying that there isn't enough room to send the app to the sd card. I must have a different version of adb. I had to call adb on the command line instead of platform-tools the second time. Also, my command for set force was on/off instead of true/false. With those adjustments it worked great!
What were these adjustments made for, forcing apps onto sd card or forcing it to use the sd card as internal storage. I got mine to recognize the sd card as internal storage but it's not letting me move apps to it claiming it doesnt have space when it has more than enough

@NKT Studios, Thanks for sharing this. The problems arises when we combine sd storage with internal, it only acts like internal storage. Videos and images only store on internal storage which fills up the internal storage quickly. Please give us a solution to this issue.

I clicked on the option within the developer options but when I went into my apps the authenticator adoption wasn't there. What do I do?
It is probably a separate authenticator he downloaded or activated, such as the Steam Authenticator or the Blizzard Authenticator. He was just using it as an example. Do the same procedure for whatever apps you want to move.

I run through the steps everything was working perfectly after 2 days the memory returns back to 16GB. I can assess the memory and also running out of storage. Request to render assistance as I have some important files on the card.

With this & the assistance of your other video I got the "change" option in my A01. However, every-time I press the move button it throws me back to the previous screen stating "Not enough storage space". I've deleting several apps and performs this several different times. It did manage to download straight from the play store to the SD card but it will never open, it will just crash. Also, moving that same newly installed app from SD card works and will work on the internal.. but that same app will not move back with that same "Not enough storage space" message.
If anyone going to try experiment with this method please make sure to back up any important files before doing so. Luckily I recovered my data when I rushed in to it.

Hi @felicity Amor, not all apps can be moved to the SD card. So if the option is not there, it means the app can’t be moved.

u go to the 'about phone' and clikc the build number few times and it will enable itself. You just have to find the build number through the informations

Update: After many hours of frustration with my computer, downloading and uninstalling and reinstalling the adb platform tools thing from the previous video I finally got it to work!! (In all fairness my computer is ancient, which is why it took more effort on my part)
I Made everything that you said, but at the last step, my cell restarted, in the moment that the Cmd said " sm adoptable true and when finished my cell restarted and the memory said damaged. Please someone help me :(
I have a samsung A01 and used the adb tools and have a 252gb sd card now set as private and when I go to move an app that is 163mb it gets to 89% and states that there isn't enough space. nothing else is on this SD. How can I fix this.
Thanks so much. I had a similar problem as many that "not enough storage" would show up. I deleted some apps and then I moved and everything worked well. Now my problem is that I cannot move my DCIM or other files to external storage. When I select them in files, the SD storage does not show up to move. Any tips?

A01 doesn't show developer options while scrolling. you have to search for it in the search bar, and even then it doesn't let you change anything.
You have to enable it, Go to settings, scroll to About Phone, Go in about phone and select software information, then just press build number like 6-7 times and it should enable, then follow the steps that he lists

I did everythinh you said, even turn on developer option that wasnt available, 0 apps show the boton move to sd card
System app can't change to sd card. If you want to change them you should make the system app to the normal app or uninstall the system app using root or pc.

I was able to transfer it but my internal storage didn't change and when I go to the SD storage settings I don't find the apps part
So Apps I put on the SD Card tend to not run on the SD Card (so far, only a QR Code scanner has.) Is there a reason for this and a way to make it so they do?

I did all the steps, got it to where I could press change. Told me I didn't have enough storage. I decided to delete everything and redownload all the apps. Now the apps won't open unless I change it back to internal storage... Where did I go wrong?

So, it says there is not enough space. The sd card has +10gb of space and the phone has 2.1 gb. How much does it need?

Hi @Felix, not all apps can be moved to the SD card.
When I move, it always said my sd card is full but my sd card is formatted and have only 1,6GB used in total of 16GB for system files

with this video and the other video of yours I got the "change" option in my A01. But, If I press the move button it states "Not enough storage space". I've deleted everything and did a factory reset and followed both videos. It did download straight from the play store to the SD card but it will not open, it will say "app not responding, force close or send report" . I can move that same app I installed from the SD card and it works fine on internal but that app will not move back to sd card it says "Not enough storage space". What am I doing wrong, if anything?!? I am beyond frustrated with both of these A01 phones!
