Is it just me or does the sg seem weird without the trapezoid inlays

Different years had different fret boards on the SG.

Kev g no its not because of age necessairly. You have Higher grades of sg with more stuff on it like the chrome case over the humbercker trapezoide inlays etc.
I owm the "cheapest" version of the sg "naked" humbucker and the dot on fretboard. But the sounds isss still great 🤘🏻

The first chord of the intro should actually be played on the 7th and 8th frets of the G and B strings respectively with the open D string droning underneath. A touch of vibrato will give that correct voicing the Angus flavour too. You're welcome.

HE'S PLAYING THIS SONG WRONG
Intro is played 7th on g,8th on the b with a bit of vibrato to make it ring.The rest is fiddling round 10th 7th b and generally c chord shape.

Just a tip if it’s to hard in the chorus instead of c and g just do a g and move your middle and index fingers down one string
