"Im on page STFU!" "I've got CP im not deaf!" i love this movie, and it seems like Art is the main character, since he IS the insperation for what he is writing. I LOVE this movie. I am autistic, so i am only slightly handicapped, but it affects my daily life a lot. I have a friend with CP, so i understand all the troubles we go through. I can only slightly hear what he says, but he IS the coolest person I know. Look past the handicap, see who's inside.
"Blow Me" Art says! This is an awesome movie, One that I can never forget, see too I have a disability, I was injured during the Gulf War, I got shot and now I'm a paraplegic. USMC
Art Honeyman was an incredible man. He wasa beautiful writer...an amazing artist...and he could DANCE so beautifully. I was honestly an honor to know him. He always had something to say that was worth taking the time to slow down and listen to, and he was patient enough to repeat it.
One of my all time favorite movies. I came here trying to look for the scene at the diner when they finally get pancakes lol one of my favorite scenes 🥲
"i'm on page shut the fuck up!" ha-ha :) Great scene, Michael Sheen is brilliant in this film, i haven't seen it, but i'm sure as hell going to buy it...
I'm #100 on thumbs up. Glad this scene is here. This is the one scene that really stood out for me in this movie. It was a masterful scene. It really captured the idea of how, regardless of our circumstance and situation, we all want to be seen for who we are. Beautiful scene.
I went to a lecture last night here in Portland on the Ugly Laws - Susan M. Schweik. I am an activist who is involved in working on the Homeless Bill of Rights for Oregon. She spoke of Art Honeyman and Richard Pimentel and I don't recall her mentioning this film. I'm so glad I found it. I had a friend with CP much like Art. I know how David became frustrated with things at times - people can be very cruel too. When he spoke of not "being seen" it caused me to weep. Thanks for posting this.
Richard Pinmental, art HoneyMan and my professor mr. Ysasi(who is blind) are the reason why I'm getting a degree in Rehab counseling. I was born with hydrocephalus and have a slight case of cerebral palsy( it could've been worse). I look up to Mr. penmental because had it not been for his work and accomplishments, I'd been kicked out and facilities for being "different"
@KyoushuAbunai If only there was more people in the world who thought like you, the world would be a better place. I can't stand people who say horrible things about others with disabilities. (Y)

I've said this exactly.
