Experiment with it inside and outside in bright light. If you conceal carry it and draw the firearm it's at a dim brightness and takes a second or 2 to react to the brighter light.

@@manyo365 it's on the Shield Plus. Surprisingly it's been holding zero and battery life is not bad. I may go the other cheapish route and put on a Romeo zero and pop this Riton on my TX22 compact.
This things a pos. Bought one a while back, maybe has 150 rds on it and the down button to turn off and decrease brightness doesn't work so it has to sit for hours upon hours until it auto shuts down. Spend the extra coin and get a holosun or trijicon. Anything but this thing

Mine has been basically flawless so far. Best "budget" red dot imo.
