My scalp was just like hers and I have locs. The front of my head was bad also, so yes I went to a dermatologist and he gave me Ketoconazole shampoo. And it works wonders. I’ve been growing my dreads for 16yrs so you can imagine how my scalp was until like 3yrs ago.

I recently curled my hair and cut my ends a little bit afterwards because they just wouldn't act right. I'm very glad it's growing out. I use a tea tree oil facial masque before shampooing. That cured my dry, itchy scalp.

Thanks for teaching us Good Health. I'd like to have a wig like yours and can't seem to find a curly wig. I wear my hair very similar to the style of your wig but so far I can't find one. My hair was cut too short. While I'm waiting for it to grow back to a decent length I need a decent looking wig to wear. Can you give me some pointers?

I know traction alopecia when I see it. That hairline came from tight buns and ponytails, tight curlers, tight braids, or something. Some people are more genetically *predisposed* to traction alopecia and have to be more gentle with their hair and careful about preserving their hairline, but *that’s* traction alopecia nonetheless.

SHE IS 1,000% CORRECT ABOUT THE LADY HAIR NOT BE DANDRUFF!! I dealt with this personally, when my face was acting up (dematitis), it will go to the scalp also. Ive noticed when my face was clear and I didn't have any flare ups, my hair wdnt itch and it wldnt appear on my scalp!
