Propaganda. DOC should get zero credit. Put a live camera in every block of every prison in CT so taxpayers can really see what goes on

The "inspection" system is flawed. DOC has to be informed DAYS before an inspection violation. Suddenly no more boats, sleeping on floors, in the gym etc. Then inspection comes & goes. They need do the inmates get shakedown warnings? Why should DOC get them?

The one thing that they didn’t mention as far as the reduction in inmate populations is the change in how we treat those arrested for possession of narcotics. In the 70’s 80’s 90’s especially the just say no era if caught with crack, heroin even weed for simple possession you very well might be going to jail if you had a record or weren’t white you deff were. Now that we are focusing more on treatment and drug courts, viewing addiction as a public health issue the number of inmates have dropped and crime related to addiction (fraud theft etc) has dropped lowering inmate population more.

Not true . :D Everything depends on your education level , number of working brain cells and knowledge how to use them. :D After almost 2 years in Osborn I easily open my own business making parts for aircraft industry. :D

Why didn't they close C or D Block? They closed B Block which is probably the best place to live if your unassigned and left the WORST part of the prison open. Smh. Fuck CT DOC.
But i aint been up there since 1994 so who knows, maybe it is great place to get a education like they say.
