Your observations are completely valid and cut right to the answer of your question: Shaloms walk is weird, its different, but that makes i unique, easily recognizable and so iconic. She might look drunk and out of balance, but she is in full control of every single step, hip movement, arm sway, even the way her hair and clothes moves. Thats what makes her a professional and one of the best. :)
well only shalom walks like shalom.. i meant, it's 90's.. lots of designers or stage directors gave freedom on how the model would walk... and she explored this perfectly while asked the designers how they wanted their dresses were represented... there are lots of videos which show how "versatile" shalom is... if there's linda evangelista who is the "chameleon" in fashion photography, shalom is the "chamaleon" on runway... she could do this "edgy" walk, while on gown or evening dress, she's like "gliding" on runway....
When I see her walk I no joke have to wonder if she's injured or high, and then realize it's just her awful walk. I have the same reaction I have when I see the " art" of Picasso. LIke Picasso they say that's just the style of their "art".... Ok...🙄
