I had cancer and found lack of support during the remission stage, mentally. It leaves you with a completely different outlook on life, and doubting your morality every single day, is gets harder with time.
You seem to feel like every day could be the day it comes back.
I disagree with the headline regarding female doctors. I have had good and not so good female doctors as well as male. A female gynecologist missed a pre-cancerous condition I had and a male doctor found it. Today I see all male doctors not that I set out for that and some have saved my life over the years for different issues. Generalizations can be dangerous.
Baby reindeer is a well acted, well written piece on how trauma can manifest itself and why the need for specific informed trauma counselling is required. We just don't have the services to provide this.

I’ve just been diagnosed with endometriosis after years of being in so much pain and bleeding for weeks on end. Many doctors saying there’s nothing wrong with me. Had to be put on antidepressants due to feeling low and frustrated. Relieved I finally have a diagnosis and not going mad! 💖
I had a male gynaecological consultant for a giant ovarian cyst and he was amazing. So knowledgeable and 100% sensitive and empathetic. In contrast, the female senior nurse in charge of the ward was horrendous and so cold and harsh!
That happened with The Jury series too. They were supposed to have changed key details but people still worked out what the real case was.
Baby R was terrifying and great and depressing and frightening and sad
I was far more interested in who the comic/writer abuser was and hopeful that he is not out there abusing vulnerable people
If I’d paid for a theatre ticket and there was a cryino baby in the audience I’d be very unhappy.

RE baby reindeer... surely in production meetings etc.. they would discuss and be aware that people would find the real people online. especially as the actress looks remarkably similar to the real stalker even though Richard said he changed everything about her? its a bit astonishing to plea people not to search for these people, it seemed more like an invite

Baby reindeer; absolutely brilliant in every way. My girls have watched it. One was left distressed and depressed, so I got her to watch his behind the scenes story, he did in You Tube Netflix. And the other it was deep dive of thought 💭
For me the stalking wasn’t the issue. We have platforms in place to stalk. She was a bit extreme. We sort of understand why he did what he did. And feel for him. So maybe the same empathy should be for her also. But the other one I have no empathy for. 🙏🏼
Also; I thought based on a true story meant that the facts are in place and you build on that structure? Because obviously oneself couldn’t possibly remember what was said even if retelling one’s own story, ¿no?

Once you watch reality TV you guess that some relationships are not real. Then you only know if they marry and start a family if it’s real. And that pap thing is blatant. But I still like watching them 😂😊😁 I need a life 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
