@@terrymoroney6748We most certainly did! We had the best road trip there and back to Fort William and captured some memorable photos on the summit that now hang on our wall at home. Since then, we've climbed Scafell Pike and over this summer, we're looking at doing the double of Helvellyn and Catbells. We love an adventure. Thank you for asking..
The path has changed so much since I last climbed the mountain in the 80's. It looks like highway instead of the small narrow path. Thank you for sharing the video. One day I will climb the Ben one more time :)
Don't be fooled. Path is ok for the first quarter then good in places but very rocky in others and it is relentless. To describe the path as a tourist path is incorrect in my opinion. I climbed/walked Ben Nevis last week, I'm 49, 2 stone overweight, medium fitness it took me 7.5hrs there and back and I found the last 2 hours probably the most challenging. The decline and walking on stones never stop. I'd advise anyone who is considering walking Ben Nevis to do a few pre-walks of 10+ miles to prepare.
The Pony Track looks a bit of a tedious slog. If only it was that quick! Think I’ll start off from Torlundy walking up to the CIC hut then double back to the halfway Lochan then join the Pony Track for a bit of variety cos I’m not doing the CMD arete!
Between 12-13 minutes; I was not sure if you returned the same way in which you came? I'm hoping to hike this in August. Hopefully I get a clear day like yours! I'm gauging to see if I need a mountain guide? If it gets cloudy I might need one, especially going down to stay on track. Thanks for sharing.
The pony track does not require a guide but does require common sense and a bit of prep. There are tons of cairns guiding the route up the zig zags and to the top. A compass is always recommended but especially on the nevis top as it has a sheer drop you need to avoid. Obviously easy to see in clear conditions and easier still if no snow (as it should be in august). You just need to follow a bearing for a bit to be sure you're safe. Save your money, do good prep, take appropriate equipment and have fun. Even mountain guides turn around if the weather is unsafe so be prepared to do the same and live to try another day. Have fun
@@dixonpeter i think should work if you have right mount. personally never tried to mount it on chest or back pack, here all time i been carrying it in my hand
Really impressed, 24 mins to summit and return. Good job lad.
it is spead up 10 times so it is 4 h in total 2 up and 2 down which is still very impressive
Superb video. Planning to climb Ben Nevis next weekend with my dog. The rest of the family aren't brave enough, but we are fearless!
Did you do it ?

@@LilBlighter Any plans to climb a real mountain?

Brilliant video👏
This video is fantastic! Thank you.
Remember the top is very big !
Amazing video
I wonder who layed all the stones and paved a way to go up ..impressive ...

The worlds stickiest bogey awaits you at the hut. I’m with you on the CMD arête - that looks dicey even in good weather.
Cmd arete is a brill way of doing it. Not as narrow as the pictures look online. It's very fun, but very tiring. You'll definitely enjoy it
I'm shattered!

How difficult was it to find your way to the top and back down again?
Happy 2 year vid aniverssary?
