You are the Picasso/Salvador Dali of model railroading. This makes me very happy! Live long. Be happy!

The blessing of the small layouts is that it affords one the benefit of not getting in a rut while modeling. You can switch back and forth and sometimes working on one layout will give you the solution to a problem or inspire a project on another. Your creative stream is constantly flowing while working on a single large project you can get in a rut. Always a pleasure to see the goings-on in your model world.

I couldn't agree more Jeff, I have been very lucky over the years to have built layouts that mostly have gone down well with folk, and even more importantly to me have been taken on and enjoyed - played with, and I sometimes get pictures sent from shows they have been displayed at, Thank you for your support Jeff and taking the time to comment it does really keep me going,Its a lovely hobby that has given me friends from around the world, All the best Carl

Delightful video. Love to get this little peak into your world. You might say that your trains are from kits but its clear you have a real talent for modeling.

    Hi Carl,
Wait till you see "Excelsior" that will follow on from Neville. Michael's creative genius has designed a flat rail conversion from the cliffside railway locomotive shown in one of Rowland Emmett's cartoons. Lots of lovely railing detail and much whimsical amusement. This is the one that he hasn't had time to paint yet. Looking forward to delivery. Keep up the good work.

Hi Mark, Michael did mention he was toying with the idea of Excelsior, and I for one can't wait to get hold of Neville, as you say the Man is a genius and I very much enjoy my phone calls with him, I make no secret of the fact that if it hadn't been for Smallbrook studios I wound not be still enjoying our hobby today. I believe there are some 7mm coaches soon arriving , I haven't had a play with that scale for a few years, so might add those to the list , All the best Carl

Curse you Carl !! I thought I had the most chaotic working environment. I see that as a personal challenge to up my game. I once worked (I try not to work too often) with a chap who thought " a tidy desk is a sign of a sick mind" and practiced the "volcano theory of desk management" whereby he had a small crater in the middle of a huge mound of paperwork where he actually worked. As documents slid down into the crater he would sign them and they would erupt skywards as far as his "out" tray. He was - and remains - my hero! (Although you have now come a close second...)

Andrew, 🤣😂🤣you have made my day, what a brilliant post, i will still be laughing out load this evening and will probably read this many times, anyway , yes you need to up your game and hope you rise to and above the challenge , I personally intend now never to tidy my work bench again, the funny thing is , and to my wife's amusement I can lay my hand on whatever I need, whereas I can't find anything in the rest of the home, my belief is she hides things, Thank you once again for brightening my day, Happy modelling and all the best Carl
