Hi Greg! Big fan of the channel. Great video! 😀 You've inspired me to delve into VR sim racing myself recently and I've pretty much got it all set up! I was going to try out a short test recording to see if it was suitable content for my channel, but have encountered an issue in Content Manager where enabling "Stabilization for custom VR mirroring" causes a black screen and there's no headset mirror displayed on my monitor, thus preventing me from recording anything. I just wondered whether you might have had a similar issue in the past? Also, have you got any general tips for a good VR experience in Assetto Corsa? 🤔 Keep up the great work! Love the variety of cars & tracks that you drive! 🏁😎
Hi and thanks! 😃 I don’t have any stabilisation options ticked, so I’ve not encountered that particular issue. For VR, I can only speak from what I use - which is the Quest 2, with the native wired Meta Link software. Under the Assetto Corsa/Video tab in Content Manager, I have Oculus Rift selected, plus the resolution of my desktop monitor. A good tip is to limit the frame rate to that of your headset and that’s it.
@@GregzVR Thanks for the response! 😀 That's really interesting! Your footage is so smooth with no jerky head movements! When I have Stabilization for mirroring disabled, I can see the mirror on my monitor, but the head movements are quite quick & sharp! Do you use the Oculus mirror to record your footage or the CM mirroring? 🤔 I'm running the same setup VR-wise (Quest 2 + Link Cable) as well as the video settings. Maybe there's a setting somewhere that I'm missing! 🤷🏼♂ Thanks for the tips! Looking forward to what you've got in the pipeline! 😁
@@Timonike I only used Oculus Mirror(with OBS) when recording Dirt Rally 2.0 footage, as the normal desktop monitor output was always a broken in that game. For everything else, I use the native Nvidia recording software to record exactly what the monitor is showing. There are no special tweaks or anything I apply beyond that, as it just works.
@@GregzVR That's awesome! Your videos always look super smooth & clear! 😎 I think in-between now & my first comment, I've managed to fix the issue! 😂I still had AMD FidelityFX enabled from before I upgraded my system. I disabled it & the display mirror now works again! I'm guessing the feature is just not compatible when FidelityFX is enabled? 🤷🏼♂ Do you have any plans to play Le Mans Ultimate on the channel? I know VR isn't currently *officially* supported, but there's a guy on YT who shows you how to enable VR on Steam w/ the Oculus Quest! Looking forward to seeing more videos from you! 😁🏁

@@Timonike thanks. Yeah I’m looking forward to playing LMU, AC Evo, GT Revival when they’re more polished, plus more AMS2. AC will never die also.
Hey Greg, which simulator do you use in your videos? RFactor 2? Automobilista 2? Assetto Corsa?
Hi! I mainly play AC, AMS2 and a little bit of WRC.
Looking forward to seeing what LMU, AC Evo and GT Revival come up with over the next few years.
