Love Seville a l’Aube, Tea For Two, Noir Exquis, Mon Numero 10, Traversée du Bosphur, and of course Timbuktu. It’s honestly one of my favorite houses and I think it’s quite underrated.
The brand of a life ! Most of the fragrances in your list remind me a period of my life, so emotional ! ❤️ Your knowledge of France is so impressive !!!!
I've just tried Couleur vanille and it's a really good one. A salty dry vanilla a bit balmy, perfect for all seasons and totally unisex. I love it 😊 I'm quite curious about Méchant Loup. I haven't tried that one yet. ^^
I'm very glad to hear that noir exquis made it to your number 11 spot! It's my first gourmand in my small collection and also what triggered my new love for gourmand fragrances.
Brace Raid it smells gorgeus. The most realistic petit grain i’ve ever smelled (orange tree leafs), beeswax. Smells green and sweet and a very very very bit of spiceness and incense. Smells at Seville in the holy week. They don’t produce it anymore 😢
I just purchased miniature set of 3 5ml fragrances from this house for $15. I found it at Burlington on sale. Decided to try it not knowing what is was and omg I was blown away I had to research the brand. The set includes La Chasse Aux Papillons, Mure et Musc, and Timbuktu. Great review of the brand!
Now this is incredibly helpful to have such a condensed list of what they have to offer . Appreciate all the time and effort put into collecting all the information for these 🙏 I'm only familiar with al oudh from them. So it's time to learn ☺
My favourite is Le Chant De Camargue! I feels really comforting with its milky and powdery scent. Guess who influenced me into buying this?? Lol. I also have Nuit De Tubereuse to add a bit of spice in my floral collection. Thinking about Bucoliques De Provence next...
TOP 21 OMG you have soo many! This is a nice brand and I wanted LE CHANT DE CAMARGUE for my birthday and am still awaiting it. I discovered it for myself only a few years ago and they offer 2 samples for free to order from their website so I have a few of them and there are many on my wishlist. Their Bana Banana and Noir Exquis, Passage d'Enfer (LOOVE LILIES)are among my faves and I can't try more. I love powdery so your 21 is on my wishlist too. I got a sample of the newest Couleur Vanille and to me it's very similar to Vanilla vibes by JHAG. Modern, dusty salty vanilla I've never heard of violet tea?! Tell me more about it! Actually, Violaceum on my is pretty leathery and not really powdery particularly the violet is super weak and almost unnoticeable on my
II saw the tittle of the video and I ran to my perfume cabinet and grabbed all my Artisan parfumeur stuffs, I'm ready! I agree with you about premier figuier extrême, too sweet, too syrupy. It was a blind buy that I will probably give away to my mom.
I’ve loved this house for 16 years, and am so happy to have found your review. Dzing! is still my favorite L’Artisan - it was also my first (first niche, first L’Artisan). Trying to find another one in their line that evokes something similar - b/c their fragrances are so very special & I need to prepare for the end of my last bottle of Dzing! :)
I have to thank you..Quite a while ago you reviewed Ormande Jayne Tolu......from your review I was so enamoured w/the combination of notes/nuances that i did get a tiny decant...a yr ago i believe it was...I have been pining for it since then..when i got the decant..i fell in love. I have to confess that it does smell "feminine" to me but the blend is too amazing..and i dont care about what anyone would say...lol......finally i did get a 50ml bottle from ZGO and was able to use your code to boot....I got it yesterday and Im obsessed w/it......I think this is a signature scent for me........yes its a bit(or alot) girly but fuck it...It makes me feel like im outside on THE best spring day....so...thank you for your review and I have to say ZGO was very nice w/ur code. Amazing video! You described Bois Farine absolutely perfectly! It smells exactly like powdered nuts :) One of my favorite perfumes from L`Artisan that is not on your list is L`eau D`Ambre Extreme. I adore L`Artisan
Agreed. L'Eau D'Ambre Extreme is one of my favorites from this house. Along with L'Eau du Navigateur and Mon Numero Ten. Kind of shocked these 3 didn't make the list
I only have 2 L'artisan's but love them both, timbuktu and Bana Banana that I was lucky enough to win here on your channel 🙏 Al oudh and tea for two are on my want list tho.
Only have two fragrances from this long running niche house. Glad to know that one of them is your number one. The other one is Bana Banana. Have been wanting to get Timbutku. Thanks for an amazing review. 👋 from Puerto Rico.
Thanks for this great ranking...my wishlist grows and grows. To me this brand always has this traditional vibe and I am very curious about this salty vanilla fragrance. For so far my favourites are Bana Banana, Bucoliques de Provence and Batucada.
I can’t believe u made a review of my fav brand, so happy about that 😍. I own 8 of them and some favs are discontinued, such a shame for traverseé du bosphore and seville a l’aube. Some you didn’t feature that i looove are Batucada and Histoire d’Orangers. Looking fwd to Couleur Vanille’s full video. You are so cute btw 🥰
Luckyscent had dzing and I just bought a full size bottle. It’s the most addicting scent. Like bandaids and leather and something else, but it takes me to the best childhood memories. It’s a must have. I also own mure et musc extreme nuit de tubereuse 😊
I own Un Air De Bretagne a beautiful summer scent 😎. Please do a full RV of No 2. I’ve been hearing great things about the wonderful Couleur Vanille. The beautiful vanilla salty breeze sounds Devine 😎.
I pulled out my samples and fell in love with Noir Exquis - gotta get this one! Thank you for the Tea for Two recommendation - I really like it and may get a bottle. Tobacco tends to turn too masculine on me, but not in this fragrance. I have the Camargue fragrance and enjoy the rice note.
Sur ‘L Herb Should have been up in the top three I’m 49 years old 🎉🎉when I wear this particular cologne men and women go crazy never had that experience with a fragrance in my life I will never stop wearing it
Really interesting Sebastian, I’ve been considering buying a few from this house namely Timbuktu and tea for two, but was waiting to see a review on the new Vanilla one before pulling the trigger, I’d love to see a full review of it on its own 😀
I know you didn't mention it here, but Thé pour un Été by L'Artisan Parfumeur is my favorite perfume (admittedly, however, I found it many years ago and haven't explored any others). Sadly, it has been discontinued. I'm not sure if you've tried it, but, if so, have you tried any others that you've found to be similar that you could recommend to someone who enjoys this scent? Thanks!

My first niche fragrance house - I stumbled across them in London in 2008 just literally following my nose. I purchased Premiere Figuier Extreme and Mure Et Musc Extreme. Closely followed by L’Eau D’Ambre Extreme. I still have and use them all. A few years later I purchased my favourite fragrance of theirs which I wish they would bring back Aedes de Venustus EDP - a gorgeous smoky incense, cardamom, pepper, patchouli, cedar and floral beauty which is my warm fluffy cashmere jersey of a fragrance in winter. Unisex perhaps leaning more masculine, as a woman I adore it. Another Bertrand masterpiece (imho)… sigh. Can anyone recommend anything similar (when when my bottle runs out). As always, scents like colours, have no gender ❤️

Haven´t smelled any from this house, #5 Un Air De Bretagne, with calone and seaweed, sounded the most interesting to me as a potential kind of reference fine marine scent to check out. The top 5 in general do sound very interesting for sure, not to undermine the rest. Interesting you mention Bertrand Duchafour as one of your favorite perfumers, just checked, he is the same one who made Sartorial among many other fragrances, a great fragrance imho.
Thanks for the great revue, I love "l'eau d'ambre extrême", my favorite chez l'artisan parfumeur. In my collection I only have 6 perfumes from the house and after your video I'm really tempted to try new fragrances!!! Sébastien, you don't rank 3 of them including ambre, LA chasse aux papillons et Safran troublant. Do you know these fragrances? They are great 👍
Sadly I do not own those three fragrances otherwise I would have ranked. I also have 3/4 other LP perfumes and didn't feature them since they are discontinued. :)

I've been searching for a good deal on a bottle of the original Timbuktu, and saw that a 100ml new in box sold for 70 dollars the other day, and I missed it! It's not my most favorite perfume in the world, but looking at the little 1oz bottle I have makes me antsy because I do like it a whole lot. Ambre Extreme is great if you want to smell like you smeared play-doh all over yourself, though.
@@ThePerfumeGuy Yes it is really good! I will buy a bottle when my sample empty. It reminds me a bit of ROMA Laura Biagiotti from the 90s, but better.
I found the volume way too high on this one, thanks for the video but I couldn’t finish it with my headphones as it was louder than what was comfortable on the first notch.
This is a huge shot in the dark but I need help! Please! I’ve been trying to buy a fragrance from this house and have been noticing there’s black lids and gold lids, is there a difference? Thank you kindly
BOIS FARINE AT NUMBER 21??? And is it too heavy??? Omg it’s the most elegant perfume I smelled in my whole life and I’m not the only one believe me. And it’s so delicate that it’s a skinscent . Are you sure you smelled bois farine???
I don't know all of their perfumes but I love La chasse aux papillons by l'artisan Parfumeur. Sébastien you butchered the French names but your video is great I forgive you 🙂👍

Sebastian do you know that an extreme version of "Passage d'enfer" with a creamy sandalwood and vanille absolue has came out? 😍
What the? I need to check! I was going to do a video on that fragrance actually comparing to another fragrance from another house! :)
I love Rose Privee.
Please do the couleur vanille review!
Gotcha covered there: ua-cam.com/video/FR-_0mFqw-U/v-deo.html ;)
This is a huge shot in the dark but I need help! Please! I’ve been trying to buy a fragrance from this house and have been noticing there’s black lids and gold lids, is there a difference? Thank you kindly
They are all black lids now. If you see gold lids those are the older fragrances!!
@@ThePerfumeGuy ahhh thank you I appreciate this more than you know! Haha
I have Bois Farine from them and love it; the peanutty iris is so unique and interesting.
You get the peanuts too? Ha!! I almost said dry peanut butter! ;)
BOIS FARINE AT NUMBER 21??? And is it too heavy??? Omg it’s the most elegant perfume I smelled in my whole life and I’m not the only one believe me. And it’s so delicate that it’s a skinscent . Are you sure you smelled bois farine???
Come riconoscere se il profumo drôle de rose che ho acquistato su vinted è un falso?
If you had to choose one to wear all year, which would it be? Best regards.
My number 1
@@ThePerfumeGuy thanks...
May is the month for iris in Provence and Languedoc
Mon Numero 10? is it a nice complex scent?
I don't know all of their perfumes but I love La chasse aux papillons by l'artisan Parfumeur. Sébastien you butchered the French names but your video is great I forgive you 🙂👍
If memory serves, farine is the French word for flour, as in sifting flour... xo Lisa
Farina is flour in italian
I have Timbuktu on the way👍🏻
