@@tobiasrietveld3819 I'm skeptical that it will go back very far... The current drones are just commercial drones with little customisation. Wait until the terminal guidance is autonomous, without relying on GPS or a control uplink. Inertial and thermal / visual... That and even rudimentary swarming behavior seems like it will be difficult to counter. Obviously there will be countermeasures, but when you're in a tank with a dozen autonomous drones all converging on you with rpg/mortar payloads... well I wouldn't want to be in that tank...

Absolutely spot on, as well as link-16 interconnects to armor donated by Allied nations and, the big one, direct interconnect of targeting data streams from clandestine Allied airborne recon assets. E3's, Growlers, Argus, E7's, Rivet Joints, P8's. All of them can funnel targeting data to the Ukrainian F16's and ALL of them are in-theater or near-theater. Essentially acting as an airborne over the horizon radar system for Ukraine.

Russia will lose its ability to refine petrol long before they lose 2 million soldiers. Since that campaign against oil refineries and key logistics depots began in January, Russia has lost nearly a quarter of its refining capacity. They have already been importing refined fuel from Belarus & Kazakhstan since at least April. Russia doesn't make the equipment to repair/replace those distillation towers (and neither does China) - they are entirely dependent on the West for that tech. My guess is that by year's end, Russia will have lost close to half of their refining capacity, because they don't have an answer for those attacks. Meanwhile, inflation inside Russia is already spiraling, over 8% currently - factor in higher gasoline & diesel prices that will not only drastically affect consumers, but also the agricultural sector come harvest time this fall (and spring planting), and life is about to get very, very expensive inside Russia. Would not be surprised to see 15% or higher inflation take hold.

North Korean rocket launcher? Really? #1 The Bulsae-4 is an anti-tank *missile* launcher. There's a big difference between a rocket and missile and a defence editor should know that and not get that confused or use the words interchangeably.
#2 The Bulsae-4 has an estimated range of 10-25 km and was located in Belgorad. Fine, we'll accept that. 3:30 shows the AS-90 which has been geolocated at *48°49'21.3"N 38°00'38.2"E* (48.822566, 38.010565) which is over 200 km from Belgorad. You can see the roads, tree lines, and building are a match so the geolocation is correct. How did a missile system with a 25 km range hit a target over 200 km away? Hint: It didn't.

that footage of the as90 being destroyed is ~5 months old, putin visited north korea in june, prior to his visit only north korea ammunition appeared to be shared. these assumptions that the geolocation being distant from belgorad as if they could not have moved in 5 months is dumb. but the assumption that bulsae-4 have been invisibly spread across the whole frontline for 5 months and not concentrated in the area where they have been spotted recently is even dumber. if these weapons have evaded detection all this time while carrying out strikes then where is the footage of fiber optic lines leading to destroyed ukrainian equipment? retro actively assuming that as90 was destroyed by a bulsae-4 that somehow remained invisible for 5 months rather than a russian or captured ukrainian weapon completely betrays occam's razor.
the lack of critical thought on both sides is what is embarrassing. it really highlights how disgusting the russian people are by allowing this war, as russian and ukrainian cultures are so similar and completely interconnected with familial ties. they have such little care for their fellow citizens and family members that they would support a war on one of their own oblasts just as much as ukraine. any russian old enough to have been raised by the ussr should not be able to live with this complete betrayal of their former countrymen. what a vile, fallen society!

@14:31 “These are still human beings” - agreed, and seeing the battlefield conditions, equipment shortages, commander attitudes, it must actually be way more terrible to be a Russian soldier on the battlefield, but also, you cannot equivocate between those defending their homes, people and those who have attacked their neighbor unprovoked. Most often comments like those are aimed at drawing such false equivalency in my experience.

I think you are talking about Western economies. While you are cheering on the unnecessary deaths, you dont seem to have noticed that Western currencies are collapsing, property has become unaffordable, interest rates are now forcing mortgagee sales with Blackrock buying up the firesales & the WEF continues to establish their foothold where more and more it looks increasingly likely you will own nothing, just like Klaus Schwab has said.
Russian GDP is around 3%. They're doing just fine, regardless of what you've been told to think.
But keep up with the slava Ukrainies - it helps the global elites feel assured that their rules based international (one world) order will be a reality soon.

They cannot produce enough to keep up with the losses. These large pushes are very costly for Russia. They can still be stained for another two years max. Post war Russia will have to devote more money to rebuild and will no longer be able to to rely on the vast Soviet stocks to prop up thier military numbers.

6:50 Acoustic location & tracking. It was being developed in the days leading up to the war, at the same time as radar was being developed. The WW2 version depended very heavily on the observer / listeners, and the human factor let it down. They weren't as reliable as they might have been. The concept wasn't bad, it had some strong points, but the 1938 ~ '40 version relied a bit too much on human observers and their interpretation of what they could hear.
