Hi Jeff! Thanks for the tour. I’ve been watching the last couple of months and enjoying your videos. I also work on a ship and started posting videos. I just recently uploaded an accommodation tour video as well. Hope the rest of your hitch goes smoothly and swiftly! Keep em coming, thanks!
Well, I really appreciate you watching, and thank you for making a comment. I just went to your channel and subscribed, and I will be following you and supporting your channel. 😎🚢🌊⚓️ where do you ship from? Port...
A great tour of your home away from home.. Always love to see the house on board. As for suggestions, you just fulfilled one of them..But some other suggestions might be to perhaps talk to some Stewart's, show there jobs, and perhaps deck department, able Seamen, ect,ect..That way everyone can see some different jobs aboard merchant ships.. And maybe even show some meals.. But as always you are doing great work showcasing the maritime industry..
Very nice. Didn’t use to be like this 😂. You should read a book titled “ Now the long tricks over” by Captain Arthur Mathison. Gives a good look at what life was like for a merchant sailor back in the 1930’s when he started as an OS.
Pretty nice accommodations for a floating hunk of steel. Where do the people with bad habits hang out? I like to smoke a cigar or two each month. I hear that isn't allowed on tankers. I also hear there might be a designated room? It isn't a deal breaker. I sometimes go up to a year without smoking one. It's just something I enjoy to do occasionally.
I have seen a lot of people who smoke cigars.... there are always designated smoking areas, and you can smoke outside. I know tankers are different... also while bunkering is going on you can't smoke outside but there is always designated areas where you can it is not a problem
On many ships there's not much room to run outside but this is a row row so the whole upper deck is totally flat and plenty of room to run and also the treadmill in the gym if it is raining.
First of all, thank you for watching, and secondly, we always have our own staterooms. Things really have changed over time as far as accommodations... Thank you for the time you served, sir.😎🍾🌊⚓️
Looks great Jeff! Quick question for you if you don't mind: Is a training course required when applying for the MMC? Is it necessary to get hired over there?
For the actual credential, no. To get your STCW BT, however, is about a 5-7 day course. (5 normally), and you send a copy of the certificate in your MMC app.
It is amazing I go outside at night all the time. You can see so much more even the galactic plane. I watched the starlink satellites go by all the time
Thanks Jeff for the tour of your ship. Not to bad 👍
So many people have asked me what kind of accommodations are available, so I just wanted to show. Thank you for watching and making a comment😎⚓️🌊🚢
It's like a home away from home. Cheers from Canada.
Very, very true, thanks for watching.
Hi Jeff, Thanks for the tour. It's like a mini city onboard, amazing. As always be safe, looking forward to the next vid. Cheers.
Thank you as already, my friend...I am so ready to get to Vera Cruz

Just woke up the morning after here. Slept like a baby.

When I get on ships I will try to find people who are really cool and would be willing to talk about their job
Even a large photo Marilyn Monroe on the wall in the lounge! Very nice. That was interesting thanks, Jeff.
This lounge is one of the biggest I have seen
Enjoyed your video. Thanks
I appreciate you watching! 😎🚢⚓️🌊
Thanks for sharing! I once saw a container ship tour that had a small pool onboard, I’d imagine that’s not very common?
Hello my friend yes some ships have that but more often than not you don't see it. Hopefully on my next ship I will get back to Charleston
I'm surprised more of your shipmates don't use those commons areas which look really comfy.
I think people like to chill in their cabin most now days, lol....
Second request: I'd like to hear how you go about selecting/signing up for a ship. Or do they select you?
All jobs I do come from the union. I choose what job I put in for. After that, if all my docs are in order, I do the paperwork to be shipped.

Yes even I have seen things change drastically in my time at Sea thank you for the book suggestion. I will have your look for vit when I am off.

And you have some cars you can have fun with on that ship!😂
but no Enso, haha🤣🇩🇪🍺⚽️💚
Thanks for the tour. Did you have any sort of holiday party on board? And also is there like a designated location outside to walk or jog?
On many ships there's not much room to run outside but this is a row row so the whole upper deck is totally flat and plenty of room to run and also the treadmill in the gym if it is raining.
It wasn't so much a party but they made a very special dinner with a great menu and it was nice...
Thanks Jeff, a BIG change from the my Navy days!!!!! Do all crew have 'private' state rooms or do some have two or more per birth?

When you're out in the middle of the ocean, with no light pollution, on a clear night how are the stars?
It is amazing I go outside at night all the time. You can see so much more even the galactic plane. I watched the starlink satellites go by all the time
Would like to see your room if you get a chance.
Sure. I will show it here as well, like I did on the container ships. Will do Kelly.😎⚓️🌊🚢
Where was everyone else on the ship?
It was night... There was a couple on watch, and most in their cabins.
