Mart, I started running 4 years ago thanks to this video. I repeated it over and over for months until i got the courage to go to the track. On September the 21st, I headed to the local track and told the first coach i saw "I want to run 100 meters like Usain Bolt". Never ever did sports. I never got to taste pure speed, as he was a middle distance specialist. I'm a middle-to-back of the pack runner, but man, I love it. I have huge legs and i'm pretty self conscious about it. So one day I may change from mid-d to sprints. Ran for him for 4 years and I'm now in Spain, going to run my first indoors 400 meters this Sunday. I have a 60 seconds outdoors official PB and 57 in training, two years ago. I just want to run sub 60. Thank you very much Mart for changing my life forever.
Thank you for sharing your story, Iván Silvero! :) I am really glad to know that I had a positive influence on your life by making this video! I wish you all the best and hope you'll achieve your goals! :) Let me know how you progress!
As a coach, I love your channel. Thanks for sharing. I wish every race was filmed with a sidecam in HD and a high frame rate so we could analyze them better, but this is still a great compilation. The first two races of Asafa are the most technically perfect races I have ever seen.
@@martmuru Can you please make another one like this with more recent higher definition video and include some slow mo? I would really appreciate it as would many many others.
I have been following tons of instructional vids about sprinting. For some reason I love it even though I am too old now. I go out an practice. To my amazement my knee issues are gone now I don't land on my heels anymore. I can run my full speed
Finally someone made a sidecam compilation. The sidecam is the best angle. Its like watching poetry in motion. In the first clip Assafa executes to perfection the correct lower body sprinting biomechanics. Perfection is when it looks like your legs are pulling you forward and not pushing you forward.
Thank you for this video. I'm a track coach and am literally teaching first time sprinters on form and the mechanics of running. They can listen to me all day long but this video will surely give them that understanding
Cheers up for Lemaitre. How fast was him? Just the fact he could really keep on on this races is an achievement on its own. Considering Bolt, Gatlin and Gay were still on. Lemaitre is the non African american who keeps it equal for everyone. Cheers.
speedpowertraining.com/ Sprint Sidecam Compilation Collection of hard to find videos where you can see sideview sprinting. Now you don't have to waste time searching them separately.
Powell's form in the first clip is absolutely gorgeous.
he is by far the one with the best form ever
You really come to appreciate how fast these athletes are really running from this angle.
Yes, that was one of the reasons I made this video! Thanks! :)
Tony Starks1975 facts
@@martmuru over 24 mph
Alot of people misjudge how fast they look from the stadium but in reality that's very fast 23-27 MPH fast😨
They are actually running that fast but it looks slower from the above veiw.
the first one was my favorite...powell has the best technique in line with bromell
Amazing. Looks so easy and effortless but that's far from the truth!
Indeed!
MulliganBrothers well once you’ve done the training and have the god tier genetics it does become effortless
True my friend says he can run an 11 second 100m dash but I run 20 MPH with a best of 12.7 with a bad start and I cant so he must think it's easy🤦
From this angle You can really understand how fast Lemaitre was.
Pretty, pretty close.
Thank you! I like side views better (in real time)because you can really see just how fast they're running.
+nareteV denosaeS Yes, thanks for watching and commenting!
nareteV denosaeS same
Is it just me or do they look much faster from the side view??
Imagine staring beside then when they run by😂😨
Yes if you watch football/soccer you'll find players who run 38kmh not that fast looking on camera
The side views accurate
@@insanity0854 yep⚡️💫
Yes
I’ve always wanted the main camera angle to be the side camera view for tv. You can really see them working and their powerful running forms
Yeap, I also like it most

Bolt Blake and Powell look so awesome from these angles
Usain is no 1 fastest
Yohan Blake second
Tyson gay third
Asafa Powell fourth
But in starting asafa is no 1
Powell in the first clip looks soo good

powell could run on water with the form in the first clip(metaphorically speaking)

選手の腕振り足の運び方を横から見れるからめっちゃ参考になる!
My goodness bolt looks like he's jogging and he slows down before even crossing the finish line while the rest are still pumping hard
Magnifique!
Awesome. Good reference for videogame sprite making. =)
lol that face from michael jordan was gold 😂😂
Hairi Ku maybe Michael Johnson
..."AWESOME" !!!
Asafa was a monster back then
I watched in 2x speed for amusement... I should go and study now
The first clip is my favorite.
Omg is like they were running in the air :o
Usain jogging to victory and breaking the WR is just insane
1:43 from side view is plain powerful. One can only imagine how the other athletes behind Bolt felt during the race.

Cette video est génial continue c'est du super taff 👍👍👌
Powell
They look like a group of superheros running towards a fight
0:57 look at bolt wow
You have just seen the fastest 100m from rest.
Great vid
Good music and nice video
YA I LOVE OF SPRINT
Key point is their forward swing feet comes over the knee of the landed leg.
Please elaborate?
the key thing is to work on standing leg curls and sled pulls to have a long stride.
Nice work. Loved it.
+quadbravo Thanks!
+Mart Muru What's the music?
Can't remember, sorry.
Amazing video! Also, who's the first sprinter?
Asafa Powell

Extinction Level Event - Jingle Punks
What are the songs, they're motivational asf
If bolt did a lemattre and leaned in over the line and didn’t show boat on his 9.58 he would have went sub 9.50
00:53 The fastest a human being has ever run!
Fastest recorded :) Maybe neanderthals ran faster lol
Without the training that professional sprinters undergo, I highly doubt that anyone can ever run even close to that speed
Aditya Krishnan ...obviously
+Doctor Derpy Nah they do something called persistence hunting.
Recorded*
Put the playback speed at 2
Wow ... Lemaitre !
