- Here I show my B36KM with my latest issue of the speaker cutting out. I fix it and show you how my electronics are installed and some hacks to solve some minor issues for more durability. Just getting that speaker and wire out of interference is what seems to solve the cutting out I experienced.

Thanks David, I bought the RES-V3 receiver and for reasons unknown I plugged in a servo into the model 1 and 3 port. When I turned on the power I think I fried the the receiver 😢 I fiddled with it but nothing happened. Nothing works. I've ordered another RES-V3 from WPL. I'll remount the new receiver sloooly and carefully.

That's never a good experience. Did you try to contact WPL and see if they could have helped out?

Another nice video!. I have my 370 motor plugged directly into the V3 sound board. Should I run the 370 motor through a ESC? Will the 370 motor eventually burn out the V3 board?
Im running all of mine through the v3 or v2 boards without issues so far. still going strong.

Thanks for sharing David. Have same problem with my V3 system on B16k. Knew that was cause interference. Now I know for sure. Do tyres come with metal wheels? I have set on my B36 but red. Like pattern on them. If I could get them separate. Another great video. Love my wpl rigs. I think I have seen the tires in the 10 wheel kit sold separately on ebay. Not sure if banggood has any thats sold separately. I believe I just searched for WPL parts and found some.

Can you do a review on the Fayee Fy004 the 6x6 military truck and modification suitable for it
I don't own a fy004 but heard they are similar to the wpl stuff. If that's the case I recommend the wpl 2 speed and metal axles with the wpl metal upgrade kit. Those are how I run my WPL 6x6 trucks.
Hi, great tutorial, I have all the mods but was not quite sure how it all went together, but thanks to your great video all problems solved apart from one, after adding V3 board, sound, 2 speed gearbox etc, the extra size of the V3 board and the extra wires mean I am struggling to get the cab back on to the chassis, did you have to modify anything to get it to fit snugly, any help would be much appreciated as desperate to get my truck on the trail again with all the new mods. Stay safe.
dont know if your trying to pack everything in the stock location. I put the speaker under the hood and the rest fit in there. might have to shorten wires to get it tucked all in there.

I have fixed the speaker with velcro to the inside roof of the cab, stock battery goes inside the hood and the rest under the cab as before, but I cannot get the cab to sit perfectly on the chassis rails. Did you cut/shorten the rear cab fixing post, looking closely at your vid it looks a lot shorter than the front post. As you say, I might have to shorten some of the wires and perhaps shorten the rear post. Its the circuit board that seems too big to sit between the chassis rails.

I have tried a traxxas xl5 esc in one of my b36 rigs but if you need drag brake you don't have it. flysky with hobbywing 1060 would be good but you would need to put the esc under the hood and battery in the back. Mine just velcro attached back there but my hood is empty and v3 esc receiver light and sound all in one is under the tray above the servo.

Thanx for this Vid. I want to build the WPL M35 Kit 6X6, and would love to complete it with all upgrades including transmitter and receiver/motherboard.....Im New to this, and Im lost. Cant find anything that list COMPATIBILITY with the before mentioned model. Any help would be most appreciated. You seem to know your stuff.
The b16/m35 6x6 is sold as a KM version which means it comes with all the drivetrain upgrades you would want. You can use the WPL Res V3 electronics to complete your build they are decent electronics with some optional features. These wpls mostly have the same drivetrain system axles, driveshafts motor gearbox assembly are mostly interchangeable.

Just have question....i have ordered b36 km and v3 system. But confused which battery to buy. The recommended battery is 7.4 500mah but you are running on 3s.

on the V3 esc you can run 2s or 3s
make sure you use a low c rated battery(example: 1500mah 3s 15c rating). WPL doesn't recommend using high c rated batteries.

some people 3d print and also I seen some buy the stock wheels and join them to make dual wheels setups.
they are pricey for sure. Might be cheaper on other sites if your willing to search for them.
Great video Bro always enjoy seeing them but I have a question I just bought a new transmitter and receiver for my MN D99 and I can't figure out how to add the LED lights can someone help me out
Oh it's a dumborc 6channel transmitter and receiver
If your talking about the regular mn99 with the headlights you will need a resistor to plug it in to your rx. The headlights will burn out eventually if you try and plug them directly to rx. you can opt for a light kit that can directly hook up to your rx. That's what I would do.

the mn99s has those light boards. Unfortunately I have no clue how to make that work with your receiver. If you want all those same features it had then a light kit may be in your future.

I would have to say 1500 is my preferred max size. the bigger you go the more weight it adds so you have to factor that in if its worth running a heavier or lighter setup.

always make sure it isn't your battery or your connections before considering a broken motor or electronics. If everything looks good then maybe the motor is bad. If it isnt the motor then it may be the esc itself. Hard to diagnose with it not infront of me unfortunately so try the process of elimination.
How are you controlling the winch if you have the shift servo on the 3rd channel?
The WPL V3 esc and tx has a channel for the 2 speed and winch. If you go your own route with tx make sure you have enough channels for what your trying to build.

Mine still cuts out and I had the speaker lying on the table away from other wires.
if you cant make it stop cutting out then you might want to contact WPL about it. I had to keep the speaker and motor wires away from the board to get it to work on one of my v3 boards.
i also have a wpl b36 but no matter what size battery i put on it still is week like it cant even go up a small hill it has a 360 brushed motor and still is garbage what to i do
what's your esc? If its a rtr esc it wont have enough to power a 360 motor. If your using wpl Res V3 esc maybe you need thicker gauge wires to properly deliver the power.

whichever you have a charger for and your comfortable maintaining lipo or lions. 1500mah 2s lion or lipo both fit in the battey compartment in these rigs.
