My mother passed away at 70 just under two years ago. Life is precious.
Yeah I was really happy to spend the week with her. She said I made her bday special for her. Time does fly. Especially after school is over. I can't believe I turn 30 this year. Anyway, tight lines out there this season!

Iam not sure if people unfamiliar with the Keys understand how epic the Snook catch was!! We just don't have the kind of Snook fishing we became used to in the Indian River. Rich look at 1:45 i don't know if u noticed but this is one of the deepest inshore spots in the keys. Look at the drop off on your depth finder. There is a huge ledge there. I gues they had large boats going thru there back in the days and cut it out so deep. U should have thrown bait or a jigs here instead of the topwater. I have fished that area before with micro jigs and was getting nice mangs every drop and even hooked a few tarpon. The north end side of 7 mile is the best but no launches!

Hi Rich, I'm just wondering why you hook your livebaits through both top and bottom lips? Surely this pins thier mouths closed making it difficult, if not impossible for them to breath, making them very quickly deadbaits. Logic tells me, top lip only must be the way to go?

Just got back from little duck key myself a few hours ago and managed to catch a big barracuda to keep as well as a small hammer head shark that i tossed back immediately, all in all a good fishing day.
