In the middle of attempting one of the longest-standing and most difficult records in running, Kilian is seen posing with a young runner for a selfie, stopping to shake hands with strangers and truly enjoying the experience. I admire his ability to help others despite being in the middle of a grueling effort. What a champion!
Well, the people he was shaking hands with seemed to be his pacers and Billy Bland himself, so not so surprising! But yes, lovely to see him taking a second for a selfie.
It is the interaction with others that makes endurance sport competitions so enjoyable. try with even a 10k run and cheer on the bystanders - the expereince is lifechanging!
Incredible. After smashing the record, Kilian sat for over half an hour on a stone step for photo's with anyone who wanted one, a truly humble and inspiring athlete.
I went and seen him right after he finished, he sat there for over an hour shaking everyone's hands and meeting people. Amazingly humble person. Only wish I could of seen him on the fells!!
Purely by chance, we were staying in the Lakes that week. There was NO promotion of this and NO blaze of publicity, just an unassuming runner who I believe kept his arrival very low key. Many sportsmen and women could take a leaf out of this amazing man's book. Kililan, I both salute and respect you. Support runners, I thank you.
Beautifully filmed, some of the shots were stunning but I wish there was a 1-2hr film of this really showing off the Lakes and encouraging a new breed of fell runners. Kilian is quite simply exceptional, what an athlete, makes it look effortless.
Amazing. And what amazing support from the fell running community!!! And how amazing that 36 years ago a man ran this just an hour slower in much worse conditions!!! They are all amazing! :-) How good is hill/trail/mountain/fell running!!!!!!! :-D
I've spent 30 minutes this afternoon pondering how on earth he could be so gracious to other people when he must have been feeling very under the hammer. His finding time for normal people as impressive as his running. I'm humbled that this is even possible, and will try harder myself. If he's capable of this, its a reflection of what he must mentally be going through when running at the level he does. Good Guy.
An amazing man in every way. And I'm so glad that Killian asked Martin to set it up for him, keeping it as much as possible in the spirit of the round.
Well done Killian! Salomon, try to get more footage from the run next time. I understand the technical difficulties but it would be amazing to see more footage from the mountains and athletes in action vs. resting. I am sure it will bring more views as a compensation for the efforts.
amazing and inspiring individual effort made possible by the foundations of great team work. Well done Kilian and to all those involved from the fellrunning community.
It will be, but how long it stands depends on how many world class runners attempt to beat it, and how often it is attempted. It could well last a very long time though, Kilian is amazing.
Jim Mann took this record in 2017 and inaugurated the Winter Triple (in one winter season) at the same time: Ramsay Round, Paddy Buckley Round and BGR.
Esperando pueda ascender pronto a las cumbres de Ecuador, en especial a la del volcán Cotopaxi ahí les dejo el link de su cumbre.: ua-cam.com/video/D3R0YlcL5eM/v-deo.html
It is called "Path to Everest", but is not yet available on-line, I think. Here in Catalonia it was played at the cinemas and I had the opportunity to watch it: it is amazing! Thought, don't expect a film only about Everest's experience, it is mofe a film about Killian's bio and lifestyle.
It would help if you knew what you are talking about, there is no set route in the Bob Graham, you have to get to 42 summits in 24 hours, it has to be witnessed so you are always accompanied but you can pick any route you like, there is no such thing as corner cutting in fell running. Fell running is always like this, route finding is a big part of it and means that there isn’t a laid out course which makes it much simpler and cheaper to organise.

Well done Killian & great to see Billy there to congratulate at the finish, handing over a very special record

Fantastic achievement, and such a down to earth bloke too. Inspirational!
Some achievement by all involved - mind blowing pace - sure the logistics were as slick as ever from Mr Stone!
Always super inspired by Kilian. He is one of the best, and yet so down to earth.
Proof that people have been amazing throughout generations and continue to be so even today 👍

AMAZING! Well done Kilian!
Absolutely outstanding run!!
Legend
Well done Killian hugely respectable PB there and RT of 12:52!!!!
Fabulous!
1 hour off the Bob Graham. I would have loved to see if he could beat Kenny Stewarts Ben Nevis record.
He did it again!! Break Records!!! Who is the guy that is always with him with the backpack????
Kilian, simply the best ! Chapeau !
Kilian is the coolest...imagine...pacing the legend!
Hes been training for 30 years
Lol
Where did you see it 😉
This is awesome. Inspiring stuff!
Stunning!!!
Amazing and inspiring!
Is his helmet on backwards..? @3:10
This record will never be beaten.

Broken in September 2022 by the American Jack Kuenzle , records are always broken unless they are from the drug era.
Some guy! And Martin Stone.. Some guy!
Does Martin still hold the winter BGR record?
Jim Mann took this record in 2017 and inaugurated the Winter Triple (in one winter season) at the same time: Ramsay Round, Paddy Buckley Round and BGR.
Awesome! Kilian's the best!💪💪
What belt did he use?
Pretty sure there's a video of Kilian explaining what gear he used. Look out for it! :)

amazing, will he do a Ramsey Round next ???????
46 dislikes, would love to hear why?
Same here...
grazie!!
Can anyone say me, when and where to find the movie about his Everest run last year ?
You can buy the film on Kilians website called Summits of My Life. The film is called A Fine Line.
I may be wrong but i think its still not released for online viewing, and i think its called "A Path to Everest" or similar

Does it show him on the summit?
Song at the beginning ?
Has he ever attempted the Berkeley ?
Godlike
Welsh 3000ers, please!
Yes it is a feat but to say he did it on his own isn’t true, 8 pacers did it with him.
Y sin despeinarse. Además, como si no le diera ninguna importancia.
@0:33 what are those?!?!
'Fells' - high hills of northern England and Scotland
probably a prototype
What a monster
At 2:03 they are cutting corners! Fell running...what a crowd of people! Probably there to see Kilian Jornet...
Tuesdays Runner No... probably there to see you. WTF
The Sierra Club would go apeshit. Maybe that accounts for the 21 thumbs down?

Compression band below his left knee. Running injured. Probably tendonitis.
Kilian Alien Bourgada
Hes fast but he can get better at handshaking
Can't believe 21 people voted thumbs down on this video.
Rob Jebb is attempting to break the record this weekend!
Really? Jebby was pacing Kilian for the record wasn't he?
Well this will make Brexiteers angry. A true European comes and crushed them at their own game....
I can not stand this guy, I do not like him
Why?
Who cares what you think, I'm sure he doesn't give a toss.
