I'm pleasantly surprised that people collect these dolls. I have a small doll collection that includes a few pairs of Raggedy Anne dolls. Your video makes me glad that I have mine! Thank you 😊
I agree! I also love how their faces are a peach color. Knickerbockers used to be my most favorite. I’m on the hunt for a Playskool Christmas Andy and a larger set of dolls. Thanks for your comment and for watching. ❤️🧶
Thank u for this video, my mom just got me the two dolls and ive been very interested in them since i was pretty young, but i realized i dont know anything about them. This was very helpful.
*Hello, I'm your 46th Thumbs up. As I'm getting older I wish So Much I still had mine or my daughter's. But, we moved around so much my daughter's got lost or was taken there's no way to know for sure. It would be Awesome to have one to hold onto the innocent times in the life of a child. I Love the one sitting in the chair throughout most of this video. Great share. 😊😊😊* Sharon in SC
That is very sweet that you both had a Raggedy Ann. I’m sorry that your daughter’s doll was misplaced. I’ve moved around myself and have lost some treasures along the way. The great thing about these dolls is some are easy to find. I’m not sure what version your daughter had. Thanks for commenting! ❤️🧶🐞
hey im sorry im 2 years late but my mom is hopfuly getting me a lot of raggedy ann and andy products off amazon and she says "If amazon dont got it you dont need it!" and the first one on my list is a sign that says" raggedy ann and andy lovers parking only other will be unravelded!" thanks for reading all this byyyeeee
Good job with the video! It was very interesting to learn about these dolls. Do you have a link to the Time article mentioned at 12:29 (or any source regarding that information)? I would be interested in reading it!
My earliest memory is of seeing Raggedy Ann at the movie theater. I recall someone dressed as Raggedy Ann walking down the theater isle. I even have a memento from the show, which is a magic playing card with a handwritten note "Raggedy Ann and the Magician." But I cannot find any information about this film which must have been shown sometime between 1969 and 1971. Have you come across any information about early films in your research?
Unfortunately, Raggedy Ann’s reputation has been a little smudged by movies/legends. She’s a sweet, beautiful doll that represents all things wholesome. I choose not to pay attention to anything else. 🧶❤️
I love the older raggedy Ann and Andys because their hair is not that shocking red. For anyone who is interested, here is a link to a very old version Raggedy Ann and Andy books from the Project Gutenberg site. www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/18190/pg18190-images.html www.gutenberg.org/files/17371/17371-h/17371-h.htm
Does anyone know how public domain raggedy ann and andy are? Like if someone wanted to create their own story of the two, and they create their own redesigns of the two (not directly copying another already published piece) would it be sued or copyrighted?

Aren't they wonderful? Glad you have your collection. Thanks so much for your comment. 💘
Next to the Knickerbocker dolls, my favorites are the Playskool versions. To me, they have the most open friendly expression.

I don't mind the Raggedy Ann doll but the creepy version in Massachusetts still scares me whenever I see her
