What a great adventure! You really nailed it !! So beautiful landscapes ... that sunset killed me ... and that little buddy, the squirrel, so cute ... Man, are you sure you didn't mistake on the count? Part 2 of 2 ? Are you sure? Isn't t it part 2 of 10? Really?LOL ... Loved it all, the editing part, with those musics, was wonderful !! Thanks again for sharing. Keep up, I wanna see more !! LOL, Cheers
Overland 4All Thank you for the kind words. I am very glad you enjoyed it. I too wish there was more and that the trip was longer. Have a Merry Christmas, my friend! Cheers!
The U.P. Is less buggy in late July through fall. Great videos👍
Awesome video. I am planning on doing a similar trip in early Oct 2018. Can a stock 06 4Runner 4wd make the trip? Still running B-stone Duelers at the moment. Planning on getting some KO2's soon but not sure what size and what not.
Yes, you should do just fine! The most challenging part (not on video) was leading up to Camp4 near Copper Harbor. There was some sheet rock hills where I had to spot my friend and about high-centered the F150 but you don’t have as long of a wheel base so you should be fine if you take the right line. Be sure to have proper recovery points and recovery gear, especially if you’re going alone. Shovel, traction mats, recovery strap, etc. Enjoy! Thanks for watching, don’t forget to subscribe!
Great video! Could you share where exactly “Camp 4” is? Looks amazing
Kenji, I am not sure how to pinpoint the exact location on here for you (other than marked in the video). There are similar spots to ours (Camp 4) all along the last bit of the trail along the coast. I am currently building my website and intend to add the GPX files of our routes that we took. If you were to download this file it would show you exactly where we traveled and camped. I will try to get the GPX file uploaded to my website soon. My website: narrowroadadventur.wixsite.com/narrowroad Thank you for your comment and for checking out my videos! Don't forget to subscribe.
Narrow Road Adventures subed:) hope your website takes off! What’s the specific name of the trail? / did you have to make a reservation for the site?
No, there is is no reservation needed nor is it an organized camping spot. To be honest, I don't know 100% that it's technically a legal place to camp. The UP is pretty remote and people tend to camp about anywhere. However, if you stay within the state and national forests and abide by their guidelines you will be certain of being fine. For more info about overlanding in MI, check out my video "Trip Tips - Overlanding MI's U.P." As for specific trail name, I cannot find one. You take Highway 41 through Copper Harbor which then turns into Mandan Road. Then turn left (north) onto High Rock Bay Rd, which may eventually turn into Pole Line. Eventually, there will be a spur trail to the left (north) that will take you to the coast and where we camped. There is 2 challenging spots of sheet rock hills (didn't get on video) that we barely got the stock F150 through without damage. Cars will not make it, and some long & low SUVs or Trucks might have a challenge with it. Hope this helps! Thanks for Subscribing! :)
Kenji, I got the GPX files uploaded to my website. At the bottom of the page you click the button it will take you to the files in my Dropbox. From there you should be able to download them into your GPS system of your choice. Hope that helps!

How is your spare mounted?
Purge Overland Thank you for subscribing! I fabed up a hitch mounted spare swing-down carrier. I used a bike carrier compression bolt so it is firmly mounted and doesn't move within the hitch. If I want to access the hatch there's a pin I pull which allows it to drop down and hang horizontal. I also incorporated a clevis mount. I wish I incorporated a 2" receiver instead. Its worked well for almost 2 years; I plan to replace it with a DIY Off-Road rear bumper with swingout carrier.
I will have to check it out when we have our Slade ride. If you still have it then.
Sounds good! I will still be using it. Currently working at fabing up a low profile roof rack for my RTT I just got. Hoping to have that done before. Otherwise I'll try mounting it to the stock bars which isn't most ideal.
