THANK you very much. I am from Ukraine myself and could not find a lesson in my native language. But scoring in search of COULD OF THE BELLS, I immediately found what I needed. It's cool and I'm really grateful to you for this video. You make the world beautiful
I’ve been playing ukulele for 4 months and this is a nice song to help improve note switching speed because you have 2 notes going on at one. Plus it’s also fairly easy! The only hard park is the 7573 because of my small hands on a concert ukulele😂😂😂
i’ve only been playing uke for 9 months but you are the reason i decided you start. your frequent uploads and enthusiasm really inspired me to try it ! thank you for the all christmas themed uploads mate, love from australia!
Dude! Thank you so much for this video. I am an intermediate guitar player learning the uke, and this tutorial made it so easy to learn these fingering and plucking steps when ukelele is so foreign to me. I feel like I had a bit of a breakthrough. Merry Christmas!
Wow this is just what I needed! This is my favorite Christmas song. Thank you so much for the doing this with tab. I am trying to learn to read tab now and this tutorial was VERY helpful. I really appreciate the longer video.
Check out THE UKULELE TEACHER STARTER KIT here: www.rivalworld.com/brands/the-ukulele-teacher It's the ukulele I'm using in this video - and it comes with everything you need to get you up-and-strumming in seconds! The perfect Christmas gift for the ukulele player in your life! 🎅🎄🎵
This is the perfect challenge for advanced beginners like myself looking to go beyond strumming and working on coordinating all the fingers. It sounds great, too.
Did you hear the original Ukrainian carol written by Ukrainian composer Leontovych called Shchedryk? It's awesome, you should do this!💕 Your cover and tutorial are amazing, hope i will learn it)
Thank you so much. Originally this song came to USA from Ukraine from 1921 (it is traditional Ukrainian song). I am Ukrainian and thank you so much for this tutorial! I’m gonna play and sing Ukrainian song
I have major reservations about how you are teaching this. 1. Fingering techniques. In the 3230 pattern, don't teach students to alternate their fingers like they are marching. Teach them to hold down both fingers simultaneously to play the C, disengage one finger to play the B, and disengage both fingers to play the A. It's better for their long-term development. 2. Fingering ability. a) if you are a beginner and the 3230 pattern isn't second nature, don't try this song until it is. b) if you are an intermediate player and can't play the 3230 pattern while alternately engaging and disengaging the index finger, don't attempt to play the bass part until you can. It's not an issue of speed. It is an issue of inexperienced fingers not being able to do what their owner wants them to do. The same concept applies to the right hand technique too. It is easier but may take students some time to get down. 3. Middle melody part A. Use the first two strings to play the melody. That way you can hold the F and F# notes. You have to be able to engage/disengage your pinky to do this so like before, there is no point in attempting this part until you can. This is the most challenging part of the song for me. 4. Middle melody part C. I'd play this without open strings. Treat it like an F scale with minor 6th and 7th. Build on the closed-string scales they should already be learning. I wish I had someone to teach me these things a decade ago.
Ack I have to study for finals this week but I'm learning this soon as Friday night hits! I have fake nails on so I cant play and distract myself from studying 😂😂

If you would look into a tutorial for "Sons and Daughters" by the Decemberists and "All The Faces" - Creed Bratton. I would be immensely grateful, thank you so much again!
