Something that is making me sad is that because of global warming its not snowing in Minnesota which is very surprising because its usually snowing before Halloween to spring
Same, it's December in NY. The snow use to come around Thanksgiving and leave around March. Now it's some snow but mostly mud
I live in sweden, which is kind of known for having really dark and cold winters. For example right now it is -7 C° or 19,3 F, it all depends on where in the country you are though since our country is very, ”long”. Another thing is that during the peak of winter, aka around december, the sun rises at 12 am and starts to set at 3pm, and the exact opposite goes for the summer
If you ask me 12am - 3pm is a pretty long time

As someone who enjoys the cold weather fine, I can understand how it can be tough for Winter to happen in Australia, here in the U.S. in California it doesn't usually snow much often which is pretty disappointing :(

i remember in winter i saw frost on the grass and was so happy, i made 1 little hail drop of snow from the frost. :) i love when it hails too and i pick up the white marbles and hold them in my hands.

I feel ya about snow. I didn't see snow until I was 6 or 7. My parents had to drive us to the mountains (we lived in southern California). Since all of the cartoons showed people eating snow and saying yummy, I thought snow would be sweet, or candy. I was so disappointed to discover it was just ice lol.

Living in a tropical island we get the winter temperatures around this time but none of the snow, some people might find that as a weather blessing... but it just means we get all of the cold suffering and none of the snowman fun to balance it out 🥶☃️🚫

One of the main reasons I hate winter is because I can’t go outside ( which is what I love doing ) yet when it’s nice and sunny I can ! And this is why winter sucks :D
1:28 It’s actually the opposite. The part of the Earth farthest from the sun is having winter because the suns rays are moving in a straight line. Meanwhile, the part of the Earth facing toward the sun gets all those rays that make hot weather in the summer

I enjoyed this a lot as a weather nerd! Small correction though! The coldest temperature ever recorded was -89.2C (-193.6F) at the Vostok Centre in Antarctica in 1983, as opposed to -53.6C (-128.6F) (I believe you may have used a 'degrees below average' figure by mistake)?
Vostok has never been above -14C! Crazy! And it's believed to drop into the mid -90s Celsius in unrecorded areas of East Antarctica too!

Context: the earth's axial tilt of around 23 degrees, ans uranus has an axial tilt that is 98 degrees. So the seasons on uranus would be very different
I remember waking up when i was like four or three and hoping it was snowing cuz my bathroom window was tinted white and i would run out side and check to see if it was snowing it never was :( oh and if you do want to see snow in Australia (i live there! like you) there are a frew places you can visit.

If you never seen snow before move to Illinois, we get a lot of snow sometimes when it’s not even that cold like I can go out in my sweater but it would be still snowing which is really really weird

I live in Nebraska and if you didn't know our wonderful state is what we like to call bipolar when it comes to wether. The best example I can provide is on Easter, sometimes if we're really unlucky we get every time of year in one day (BTW for us Easter is in spring.

I am also the ice sheet picker-upper. Though for me that's the only enjoyable part of Winter. I love summer because i like to go out and find reptiles. Where i live, there's only two species of venomous snake, and the rest are harmless cuties, so i go finding the snakes in the summer. In the winter they're all brumating and it makes me sad. Can't go swimming in the winter either.
I almost died while camping in the early spring twice due to cold.. I can't stand the cold.

my mother told me then my Big brother was a littel kid of two years, he and my Big Sister where was here in germany sooo much snow the door was block way have to build a canyon to get out it was insane. The snow disaster in the winter of the century 1978/79 in Germany . But whey build big snow figure in the garden only my mother must watch what my brother din t go lost in the snow hahah

I know you like purple so here’s something I’ve known for a while, in Peru (where I come from) they have purple corn, and they use said corn to make a drink that can only be found in Peru because purple corn only grow in Peru, it’s called Chicha Morada (Purple Corn Drink) there’s a Peruvian restaurant in the city part of Sydney called La Hacienda as well where they sell it, it’d be cool to see your reaction, great video, keep up the good work 👍
