Thanks for the shout out Lyn!! On your cutting with the hole in the top. The hole could be a danger zone. As I've said before about these guys, their large vascular system carries infection quickly!! I would cut the top portion off to see what might lurk inside. This may go farther than you can see. And if the bottom portion is still good , you will want to keep any infection away by getting rid of the bad affected part. Then again this may go very far down. I believe all your others are good and will do fine. So if you see the infection going too far down you may just want to discard that one and just grow the good cuttings out cause you know they will be good. Especially seeing the root nubs!! When I cut away a bad portion I set it aside to see how fast it withers away. If it's fast, keep an eye on the other half to see if it follows, or grows out. I have cut a few like this and many times the good portion grows fine as long as the bad is cut away. Also the hole will be a hiding place for pestsI! hope this helps!!! From Morris park in the Ozarks, to across the Emerald isle, have a great day!!!! Peace,Love"Plants✌💖🌵🌸🌿🌷🌳💐🌲🌹🌴🌻

Thanks a MILLION Clyde for all your advice on the 'holey' cutting, and I have just cut the top off now after reading your advice and I am so glad because the hole did go deeper down, I have managed to save the lower 2 inches from the base, I will see how it goes but it may be a gonner, but I am so happy I have the other three, thanks so much Clyde :-D you are the King of Euphorbia's :-D thanks so much for your wonderful friendship and amazing comment and support and for watching, and Hans and I are sending you and beautiful Deb and all the pets and plants all lots of love and happiness and PEACE, LOVE, PLANTS and PLANT POWER to Morris Park in the Ozarks for a wonderful weekend XXXX

I hope your propagation works to perpetuate your very old plant. If anyone can do it, it’s you! They already look great in their little pots! Good luck, 🍀🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵💕

Great video Lyn, hopefully they root up nicely. I’d agree with Clyde with what he said in his comment, I’d personally cut that one with the hole in it. The growing point is damaged anyway so if you cut it it’ll hopefully throw out some new branches as well. Thank you for sharing with us as always Lyn, have a wonderful evening and upcoming weekend from Edith & myself to you and Hans 😊❤️🌵☀️🌺🌼🏜

Thanks so much Daz for your advice :-D I have just cut it now and so glad I did as the hole went much deeper than I though, and cut all of the hole away and have managed to save about 2 inches from the base where it was fresh milky sap, Happy 1st day of Spring to you and Edith, and now the days are getting warmer and longer :-D thanks so much for your wonderful friendship and amazing comment and support and for watching, and Hans and I are sending you and beautiful Edith lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER to England and Singapore for a wonderful afternoon and weekend XXXX

Mine are a very light yellow at the base of the plants for about an inch or two. Can you tell me what that means. Thank you.

Hi Debra :-D sometimes succulents and cacti can go a bit yellow or brown at the base and this is due to natural age and corking, but if the base is soft it may be due to rot, but if the base is hard it may be natural age and corking, but it may be best to remove them from the pot to check over the roots to check that there are no signs of rot, thanks so much for your wonderful comment and support and for watching, and sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a wonderful weekend XXXX

Love the video on potting up Euphorbia feroc succulent plant cuttings. At lease you can save these cuttings and hope they will root and continue to grow! In my opinion I would cut the top part of the hollowed cutting, it would look more healthy apart from the risk of growing pests inside! Thanks Lyn for the information! Wishing you Lyn and Hans a wonderful evening! Love from Malta!
