Line Rider #25 - Amélie Theme, Comptine d'un autre été (Yann Tiersen)

- Synchronised line riders visualise this piece of music.
Presenting Comptine d'un autre été, a theme from the Amélie soundtrack, composed by Yann Tiersen. A simple but beautiful tune, so a single rider making simple motions seemed appropriate.

Well this is nice for a Monday after noon.
We all need things on a Monday to cheer us up :-)
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider true.
All we need now is a Duck Tales theme song to make it fun.
@@sethcarlow8363 haha, not quite my target audience.
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider i gusse so not every one can like every thing some times you have to know your audience who what they like ans dislikes right ?
@@sethcarlow8363 for sure, you can't please everyone, but I've stuck to classical music since (a) I really like it, and (b) I really enjoy fitting a Line Rider to classical pieces. Which has drawn a particular audience, who probably prefer classical music, or instrumental film scores at a push, so I will broadly stick wit it.
Gooď to see the little chap back: I was afraid he was in quarantine...🤔
He had a rest during January, and his creator had a rest from screen time, but both are back in February and creating tracks again :-)
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider Grounded?
@@theunknown4834 what do you mean?
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider Was he only allowed to get into the air again?
@@theunknown4834 haha, sorry to be slow. Love your pun, now :D
Looks so simple and elegant. No multiple riders or extreme high speed drops. Perfect for the music.
Thanks 57thorns, that's exactly my aim. Simple melodies = simple expression. Glad you liked it 😊
This song always makes me misty-eyed, and this little rider's performance just enhanced it. Those transitions were so smooth, and the whole ride was so balletic. Fantastic pacing as always. Your hard work on these pieces is obvious and much appreciated.
Thank you adrien, really glad you enjoyed it so much 😊
As always great video.
I WAS PRAYING FOR OUR LITTLE GUY NOT TO TOPPLE OVER DOING FRONT WHEELIE THROUGHOUT THE VIDEO.
Thanks Ananda. Haha, he was always going to live :-)
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider I worried that all that spinning was going to make him hurl.
@@JMcMillen he has a strong stomach, he's fine 😁
Musical interpretation is amazing. Quite mesmerising watching this. Thank you
Thank you Susan, that's always my aim, so glad you thought so!
wonderful work and a fitting piece for a snowy afternoon in connecticut nearing the end of a long winter.
thank you.
oh... i did that twice. definitely worth it.
Hehe, yeah I noticed you commented twice :-)
Endless turn, emotionless face, complex move... That's how I'm feeling now with confusion and nervousness... This amazing work with a emotional sad song ironically makes me feels much more better.
🥺👍
You're on an awesome walk through my videos! Glad this made you feel better, I wonder which other video you'll turn up on next? :-)
Seeing you do a piece by yann tiersen made my heart drop
Thanks Leslie, glad you liked it.
Brava! And well worth the wait. Absolutely stunning and captivating.
Thanks, Spud.
I loved the parts where he is hanging on under the line, so well executed.
Thanks Chris, glad you appreciated those moments 😊
Qué fantástica melodía!
Thanks Martha!
Another great line rider that keeps me mesmerized! This is such a beautiful song. Supposedly its one of those over played songs on the piano...fortunately I haven't committed that faux pas by actually ever playing it. 😅 However, I feel the urge to join the herd by getting the score! Thanks Matthew!
Hehe, no problem, glad you liked it! Yeah, it's nice to play on the piano, I'd definitely recommend it.
Can hear why, it's a lovely piece.
The concept is so absurd but its so hypnotic and works so well that im at a loss of words.
Yeah, oddly satisfying isn't it.
As always, delightful and enjoyable. You are talented, little guy; and so is Matthew. ;-)
Haha, thanks Kimberly! :-)
The sections starting at :59 (and again at 2:04) have me mesmerized and I can't stop watching this over and over. GET OUT OF MY BRAIN, MATTHEW! 🤯. Really I think this may be your best one yet.
Haha, sorry Spud! 😂
Yeah. It's such captivating music.
And a matching choreography.
Another masterpiece
Thank you Fulvio.
Sehr, sehr schön zum Sonntagsfrühstück
The timing is incredible... Must be soo tedious
Thanks Carson! Yeah it takes a while, but it's worth it in the end I think.
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider It's sooo enjoyable as viewer at least, so worth it to me :) Went to try out line rider after seeing one of your videos for the first time... gave me a greater appreciation for the time you must put in.

Thanks Alejandro 😊
I would love to see one of Bach's Brandenberg Concertos.
Multiple countermelodies would probably require multiple riders, so much work for Matthew. It would be worth it for viewers.
Good suggestion, thank you!
Just beautiful! Soothing music (newly added to my playlist) and a mesmerizing ride for the lil' guy.
Thanks you, Matthew.
You're welcome 😊
So beautiful timing matching perfectly with music. Beautiful work, mate. 👍👍👍

Woah. Those manuals were so smooth :O The track matched so well with the song :D
Thanks Shaun - clearly a fellow Line Rider if you're using terminology like that!
@@MatthewBuckleyLineRider :P I just watch line rider videos and try to get inspired to make my own line riders, but for some reason I can never do the techniques as easily as the people in the video explain xD
@@shaunwang8735 just keep going, Shaun. Look at my earliest videos, my earlier tracks were definitely more basic than they are now. Like anything, as long as you enjoy it, keep practising and you'll get better.

This is truly amazing, as always. Might I request one be done to "Entry of the Gladiators" by Julius Fucik? Everyone knows it and i think it would be great with something like this.

Is Scott Joplin... hahaha!
Sounds like something Yiruma would play? Kind of like his river song?

Can you please play the blue Danube Strauss
중독성 엄청나네....
Can you do one of The Waves of the Danube by Iosif Ivanovici : ^

Can you do Symphony No. 25 by Mozart?

Nope!
Do you take suggestions for pieces?
Certainly, it depends on the piece, but always happy to receive ideas.
Great. I was just thinking anything from the Lord of the Rings movies. I think "The Last Goodbye" and "Concerning Hobbits" would go really well with Line Riders and are just generally beautiful songs. Love your work, keep it up 😁
