DK Oldies is a complete disaster for price and lying to customers. This site seems to have some potential, unfortunate the case and manual aren’t options. You should do an OG Xbox collection video so we can see everything you have and your favs

I spoke with the owner they have manuals in a different store they will put up manuals for purchase in the future
i think this is a good idea for a series. It would be cool to compare different retailers when buying vintage products. I am always looking to find more reliable resources when buying. Good video John!
Good idea! I'd definitely want to do a more in-depth comparison in the future and not just name drop DKOldies for clicks 😅. Maybe when I'm getting a lil more UA-cam revenue I'll be able to do stuff like that
I've been to the physical locations a couple times, pretty cool stores. They are located in Omaha & Lincoln Nebraska.
I go to the one in Omaha they have decent prices.
They had 2 stores in Lincoln but closed one. There is also a store in grand island nebraska

Loving the vids man, I did a couple on me modding my Xbox for insignia live! I'm from Cary IL so we're basically neighbors. Glad to see people not that far away collecting Xbox! When it comes to retro consoles I have Everdrive and flash carts. Except my new love ,atari 2600. I've collected maybe 80 carts for it. Xbox and Atari is where my physical collections have been thriving..
Got me to check the site and ended up buying some GBA games from them, the one console I plan to collect everything for. Fair prices and I like the free shipping, thanks dude!
The question is,how long will that level of service stand before it turns into DK besides others in similar steps?
Gameroom refurbishes every disc that comes in the store! They have several massive machines to do so that run all day and all night.
The condition of the boxes and manual inclusion is a bit of a crapshoot, but they should be commended for their reasonable pricing, also anything on there w a real picture is safe, and they ship well for the most part, just comes down to luck what gets sold/donated to them I guess. Your much older boxes looked better than my newer ones. They let me return bc one disc actually had damage on the top of it and a case got cracked by usps in shipping, so they are nice. I will try them again, just gonna go w stuff w pics though, since I think my desired condition for my collection is a little higher than the cutoff bar for accepting the disc based game into their inventory. Oh well. They were nice, and they didn't try to get one over on me, I just gotta wait until they can list different conditions for their stuff without pics, the old retro stuff on there is priced really well, and it's an actual good alternative to Lukie and DKO w their insane prices. The prices don't make the quality any better. Might as well pull the slots w the cheapest bet if the payout is all about the same.
Hi, I just bought from them yesterday some 360 games that I didn't get to experience while younger, my question is, is it ok to apply their FREESHIPPING code? Not concerned about the order or anything, it's just that I feel kinda bad for applying it and not paying for the shipping, don't know if it's a small business which could be why they are giving the code so they could attract more ppl.
Do they have good return policies?

Heads up for the blazblue game, they gave you the wrong version. The disk they gave you is the second game in series "Continuum shift". Either way glad to see more people getting into arcsystem works fighting games. Guilty gear and blazblue are great games that have newer version on current gen consoles and PC if your interested.

that's why i stop shopping at DK Oldies or lukie games because they don't clean there games & its frustrating im buying games i wanna play but it doesn't work .

Even used Torna was sold for only 14 bucks there. Definitely looks great compared to DK
The annoying sticker at the bottom is something that GameStop does with pre-owned games they buy in bulk. When I worked there, they used to get games that were “pre-owned” and all they were, were new games that they bought in bulk from the developers, then opened them and slapped those stupid stickers on them.
Nice selection! New Vegas is still my favorite of the series! I totally agree that this website is good if you don't have expectations of getting your games cib! And I also hate when I get Xbox and 360 games with anything but green cases! Can't wait to see what you get next! Great video and keep up the good work!

It beats better than no case. Most disc games without a case get all scratched up.
hey just an fyi that copy of blazblue calamity trigger has the continuum shift disc. they're 2 different games. i caught it right away bc the disc has the kinect era header, and the case and manual have the original 360 rings header on them. i would see if you could get a partial refund/replacement.
ps nice video. i like collecting for the og xbox and the 360 too! what other systems do you collect for? or are you generally just invested in those 2 for the most part?

OG Xbox and 360 are my mains but right now I'm also into PS1, 2 and 4, and the GBA lol. Kinda all over the place but those are just the consoles I'm passionate about

They have some pretty good prices except for the Vita stuff and certain rpgs like the Xenosaga games, but other than that not too bad.
Yeah vita doesn't surprise me. The problem is if they make the prices too good, everything will sell out immediately

Went to the website and everything is sold out - they don't have much there anymore. So, back to square one. 😢

Great , im gonna buy some ps2 videogames , i just want to know , resurface the discs is bad for the disc ? or does it reduce its life in the future ? Thank you
Some people don't like it. Theoretically a disc can only be resurfaced a certain number of times before it won't work anymore (I don't know if this is actually true.) Also if a disc has been resurfaced it was probably scratched up at one point. It's far more desirable to have a clean disc that wasn't resurfaced, but I personally am fine with resurfaced discs

They need more than one chance obviously, but I've ordered one cartridge game for my Genesis from GR before. Unless I missed it in details, that cartridge looked like pure trash. Significant damage to the label that is a big eye sore to me personally.
I'm usually more cautious in looking at condition so it is unlikely I've missed the condition of this one. Idk how they could send it in that state without really stating the poor condition of the label. It was a huge letdown.
I've opened up the envelope, saw the game, threw up mentally, tossed it back in the envelope, threw it in the closet, and told myself "never again with these clowns".
I got Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition brand new for just 20$ Xbox One version, it's worth it.

50 cent bulletproof is a great og xbox game of u don't have it and that website has it for super cheap compared to ebay and stuff one of my fav games grew up playing

Mechwarrior 2 is a super sick game. I played both of them and the story/gameplay from 2 is a lot better.
The reason why people hate Tekken 6. It takes a lot of time to load and the Scenario Campaign which I find it fun because it was like an upgrade version of Tekken Force mode that Tekken 3 and 4 had. BTW, do they also sell consoles? I'm trying to find a PS2 console that's working in a good condition.
They do sell consoles but I couldn't find a PS2 in stock there 😕

Again, it depends on what you're looking for, but if you go to eBay and find the cheapest listing for each of these games and throw them all in your cart, I seriously doubt you will have a total below $57 (I just did this and ended up at $87). I intentionally chose most of these games because they were priced at or below eBay value without shipping though

I actually live 15 minutes from Gameroom Lincoln Nebraska 10/10 good prices and all discs are refurbished.
All online company's that sell games and consoles use dk oldies as an example of what not to do.

Overall I’m not a fan of that store as most of there stuff is non original cases and no manuals which isn’t cool for a collector. For the most part even paying twice the value is worth it for collectors . Original Xbox cases have more weight . You say no big deal but it is a big deal that the website says disk plus and doesn’t really make distinction for what you are buying . Personally I like Lukie games or double jump or retro Raven games over that site

Definitely recommend grabbing Capcom vs. SNK 2 for the Xbox if you don't have it. One of the best fighting games ever, and the Xbox port is well done.
