Great video. Thanks for explaining the allowance with half and full circles and the knob guides on the top

Thank you so much for this! I am helping my wife make circles and using scissors. They hurt my hands after a couple dozen - this was great.

I bought mine a couple of years ago, I use it so often I couldn't count and I have only just ordered a new cutting blade. If I am making Dresden blocks I know my circle will be exact for every single centre. I always add pellon behind my circle and a scrap fabric to make a sandwich. I can cut the layers stitch turn out and then hand sew in place with a beautiful quilt thread. It is also brilliant for making flowers. Just cut several layers of 2/3/4 inch circles. I stack four to five layers at each size, then just make some nice gentle cuts to show each petal, then layer up to make it as full or flat as you want. Thanks Fiskars.

Thank you for your excellent video! I’ve just purchased the Fiscars Circle Cutter. Yet to be delivered. My project calls for a 7” circle made up of 10 segments (like pizza slices). Can this tool be used to cut segments that get sewn together and make a 7” circle sewn as appliqué? Hope you can help! Best wishes from Sydney Australia.

I have bought this cutter I love your clear video but I have a query. How do I cut a circle without the ¼" seam allowance eg I want a 5" circle with no seam allowance for applique without turning in the ¼" seam Thank you

Hi Margaret. The honest answer is it would be difficult. You'd have to maybe fold it into quarters, measure a couple of points and draw a curved line and then trim. As the tool isn't designed for less than 5 1/4 other than 4 1/4 etc, it will be difficult. I'll have a think on it, and see if I can come up with another solution x

Great until Fiskars discontinue it and you can't find the blades.
