Another great video Joe and thanks for the shoutout. Being transparent and honest about your experiences is exactly what potential golf sim buyers want to hear. The key takeaway for any potential golf sim buyer is that you will always find that people have different opinions on how their units perform. It's just the nature of having these devices that have so many variables. What i suggest to every customer is to look at ALL options, don't just take the first thing you see that suits your budget. Put in the time to research your options, and you will make a much better decision long term
Thanks for that mate! And yes that is some solid advice. Definitely do your research on these units there are pros and cons for every single device even GC Quad and trackman have cons. At the end of the day I'm just showing my personal experience with all of these devices.
For some of those launch monitors, the cost is equivalent to a small car, so people are really invested in these devices. I think people just get rubbed the wrong way when they are presented with data that challenges their world view. So i wouldn't worry about it. You're presenting an agendaless set of comparisons and sime people are just too invested to parse it fairly. Im a long term fan of your content and enjoy watching your vids. Youre one of the most unbiased reviewers and are happy to eat humble pie if you need to. Keep it up, dont change!
Hey Joe! Thanks for another great video! I think that everyone that has been using launch monitors for awhile recognizies that foresight is ONE OF the gold standard launch monitors and everyone else needs to do their best to match them. Please keep doing things the way you think is right. These are large purchases for most people and there is always a tendency to want to justify said purchase. Keep up the great work and honesty!
Great vid and good timing, got my MLM2pro delivered today, not had a chance to use it yet but this vid has justified my purchase. I almost went way too deep and got a skytrak+ but glad i compromised and watched a lot of vids including some of yours. Got a sub outa me great content. Re people moaning just ignore them, state your assumptions at the start and if people complain thats their issue not yours. I mean who can complain that your testing side my side, hitting the same ball and showing the results of 2 systems that are never going to have any interference of any kind…thats just not how the tech in these units work, so the test is 100% valid and cannot be any fairer. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Barry! Enjoy the MLM2PRO mate finger crossed it's stable for you. That's the only annoying thing now for me with the MLM2PRO is it disconnects every now and then. But the data! Wow is it accurate for the price... And the impact vision is great!! I actually used it last night to diagnose what I was doing wrong coming through impact.
As a MLM2 Pro user for almost a year I recommend hooking the launch monitor up to GSPro ASAP. The Rapsodo app is still really buggy and the disconnects happen every time I play with it, twice this morning playing 9 holes and this with a local connection set up as recommended by Triple Bogey. Rapsodo customer service in my experience always points the finger at me--not enough light in the basement for example and so I added lights and the disconnects kept occurring. If I am playing a Rapsodo course with the Rapsodo app, for each disconnect I have to replay the hole starting at the tee box. When using MLM2Pro with GSPro if there is a disconnect you simply reconnect and continue playing the hole from wherever the disconnect occurred--way less annoying. Joe's videos and Triple Bogey's are great for helping you connect your launch monitor to GS Pro. That's my unsolicited advice to you.
Joe, it’s because of you and others on You Tube who take the time to make such good videos that the rest of us can learn from your experiences and make a decision what to buy based on your user experience and comparisons. I’m sure I speak for many when I say thankyou and keep them coming. Cheers from Canada.
Hi Joe. Another great video. I have been seeing the same little short pop-up misread that you experience around 30:40 into the video. I've been seeing it off my irons, so I don't think the Rapsodo is registering the tee in my case. One other observation I've had is that following the update that allowed for chipping to be captured, the device started giving misreads off of high ball speed shots, e.g. 170 ball speed drive that tracks dead straight on the impact vision camera ends up cork-screwing off to the right on the Rapsodo range 140 yards down the fairway. This device is still very buggy and hope they can sort this out before it's time to have to pay the subscription fee (which is April for me).
Hey Joe, I’m pretty blown away by the mlm 2 pro. I have one myself and it’s had plenty of use ( everyday really) It may have the occasional drop out or miss read but they getting fewer and they continually work on it. Sorry to hear about comments from the cheap seats. I think your videos are great. This is what I like to see. A close as you can get comparison between the units (same swing and ball). I am glad you a draw bias on the Raosodo with the wedge and some with the 7 iron. I have seen that too with the upper end of my bag (7-SW) based on a good solid swing. Great stuff - keep up the good work From the States
Hey @joe lagowski really nice video and appreciate the confirmation on the rapsodo accuracy! You showed what I anecdotally seem to be seeing with driver launch being about a degree low consistently. I use top tracer at my range and consistently see launches higher outdoors. Just chalked it up to indoor swing previously. Another interesting note from your wild launch angle on one driver. I have had that periodically as well. Driver launching at like 20+degrees and no rhyme or reason. After your comment about the rapsodo picking up the tee I realized I started seeing these gremlins right around when I switched from birtees to k2 tees. I originally just thought rapsodo mucked something up in the update that was really problematic. But I just did a test of like 60 driver shots with birtee and didn't get one weird reading. Probably too small data set but definitely could be the culprit. Again thanks for the video and love to content!!
Great videos, Joe. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into making these. IMHO you consistently under-promise and over-deliver. I've been building my sim slowly over time and thanks to you and Triple Bogey and springbok I have successfully connected my MLM2 Pro to GS Pro. I have been close to selling my Rapsodo many times since I purchased it in April of 2023 mainly because the app is so buggy and customer service has not been the best. But with the launch monitor now connected to GS Pro and with videos like these showing how good the device is, I will keep it and not switch. I hope you continue to make these videos and look forward to watching more like them. If you get your hands on an Eye Mini Lite, please do a comparison between it and the MLM2 Pro. Also if you have experienced the Exputt not capturing data from longer putts--30-feet plus--please do a video on it. I'm working with Exputt customer service trying to figure out what is going wrong and being able to reference one of your videos on the problem would help a lot.
Easier said than done but I hope you can try to ignore the haters. Your videos have helped me understand so many different things about launch monitors and simulation software in general. You're the most honest and thorough reviewer I've seen on UA-cam. Appreciate the content!
Hello, i have just set up net in garden and purchased the rapsodo mlm2.. loving it and when it works its so accurate BUT... im getting so many disconnects its ruining the experience that much im thinking of going for garmin r10.. can you advise what would you do or is there a fix for the disconnects
Hey mate sorry to hear you're having so many disconnects! I've been there... The early days with this device was doing my head in. So the first thing I'd do is make sure your mobile device is right next to your unit as when it gets more than a foot or two away this is where issue start. The other one is are you connecting by the direct connect or home wifi network method? I found that my MLM2PRO just didn't play nice with my wifi router so I had to end up buying a wifi extender and connecting it to that instead. If you have another seperate 3rd mobile device then try and hotspot it and connect your MLM2PRO and your primary device to that hotspot and check to see if that works. If it does then it would be the router / modem that's causing the issue. This is exactly what happened to me and then I got the wifi extender. Oh and also report it all through to Rapsodo they need to know about it! It's been going for too long all these disconnects. Sooooo frustrating when it happens.
Really love your videos. Always interesting data and information. I have a Bayside setup and must say that Sam is easily the best person I spoke with (by email) in all my research. Very happy with his service and his products. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great simulator.
Thank you Sam for letting Joe borrow your GC3! The range graphics look so good on the GC3, but numbers/spin feel spot on for the $700 vs $7,000 price tag.
Hey Joe - those who dont like what you are saying is just too damn bad! You shoot straight and are not a bought channel and that is what is important - if I want to hear how a great a product is to make my ego feel good about a purchase regardless of reality, I can go the that products website and hear all the BS I need to - plus the fact the effort that you put into for EACH video shows how serious you too are about getting it right!!! Keep doing what you are doing!!!
Another great video Joe! Hey all these results are based on your swing and your setup so we cannot/should not expect exactly the same results…that would be impossible…too many variables between our swings and setups. Your video gives a great example of what to expect with these units, even the best of the best are not perfect all the time. Keep up the good work!!
I just ordered an MLM2Pro. This video was great. I'm glad the unit seems so good for a budget launch monitor and sim. Also, can't imagine why you are getting heat, but I'm grateful to you for putting this out.
Great video again Joe! With so many shots being almost identical it's hard to know which one was more inaccurate on the shots where there were discrepencies. No launch monitor is perfect every time. For amateur golfers like most of us watching this video it does let us know that we will have an equally accurate and enjoyable experience in GSPro using either device (if the MLM2PRO doesn't disconnect every 5th shot). It then just comes down to whether paying so much more for the GC3 is worth you being able to brag about having one and how good it is to your mates!
Cheers for comparing the mlm2pro with GC3 !!! 👍 Since the last update, I also noticed a few (1 in 250 maybe) shots where the ball speed was way off. Also the same misreads on club head speed, like 102 mph vs 158 ball speed. If you go into the session, you will see that there is no smash factor however, which confirms that Rapsodo sort of acknowledges that it’s a misread. I do also feel that the mlm2pro might have a slight draw bias… nothing crazy (round killers, as you call them) but just enough to make me wonder. Then again, my “natural “ 😉 shot shape is a draw so I will only be able to judge when I can come out of my cave and hit balls outside… I would have loved to see the side carry distance difference on those but that metric was not shown. Maybe next time…. Cheers and keep them coming, by now you’ve turned us into junkies! 😂
Great video.. Thank you for testing the MLM2 against the GC3. When it works, the Rapsodo MLM2 hangs pretty well with the big boys. Unfortunately I had to send mine in for testing since the last update. My launch angles were 7° to 10° too low. I'm hoping to get it back soon.
Thanks mate! You are absolutely right I was really happy seeing these results in the test. That's no good mate I'm surprised they didn't just send you a new one out.. hope you get it back soon!
Great content! Not sure why people would post negative comments, you're just presenting the data.. Also interesting how the MLM2 pro was spot on until that last disconnect. That's what I notice as well with my device, works super well where I trust all the data, to randomly seeing just weird data that doesn't make a lot of sense (or randomly starts to no read). Same set up, same everything each session. Feel like Rapsodo really needs to figure that out then this will be a very well liked product. Consistency is key!
Joe; great comparison again! My take away is that there just isn't enough difference between the two units to justify the price difference; seems Rapsodo continues to refine the metrics and I anticipate in future software updates they will become even closer. Last thought is that a leveling stand for the GC3 may correct both the launch angle and slightly adjust the spin axis possibly bringing the two units even closer in measurements. Best regards; Great job again.
When I did this test I was actually blown away with the results... I couldn't believe the MLM2PRO every shot I was like yep that's spot on! 🤯 Yes there are issues with the device... Connection issues occasionally, chipping isn't amazing on the shorter ones, no putting ect but you can't fault the data.
Awesome job Joe. I am also having a ton of disconnects with my MLM2 Pro. I am not sure what to make of it but to be honest, I am getting kind of tired of it. I know that it isn't as expensive as some other units, but it still wasn't cheap. Hopefully, Rapsodo fixes the glitches soon.
Thanks mate I've just downloaded the beta and I'm still seeing disconnects unfortunately. I definitely feel you it's really not ideal all these disconnects 😭
Great question and it totally depends on what you intend to use the device for. If you are getting it just for home use to use it for a simulator I would 100 percent save for a used GC2. Definitely a few things to be aware of though. You need to make sure Bluetooth works and the USB.. also you need to try and get one that has the version 3 flash board so it can handle the Andy flashes as they are a lot cheaper than foresight ones. gc2flash@gmail.com Andy is the guy who makes the flashes and can also give you some advice on what to get. The other thing is he can fix them as well... If you are using it at the driving range most of the time and then at home as well the MLM2PRO is fantastic! I personally wouldn't buy the skytrak.
Thanks for the video. The MLM2Pro is getting better with each firmware/software upgrade and, for the price pretty close to other systems, much more expensive from what your numbers show.
Yeah it is a seriously impressive unit for the cost.. Rapsodo just needs to make it a bit more consistent now across all users and for the cost this has to be the best bang for buck LM.
Yes I have my thoughts but it's very hard to say and I didn't want to influence or give any wrong information so I just let the data do the talking. Thankfully there weren't many differences tbh. Looking at where the balls landed there were only really 1 or 2 big discrepancies in there.
Nice comparison, thanks. Been considering the mlm2pro. I'm interested to use it at an outdoor range not indoor. Any idea how accurate it would be? Total distance, shot shape, backspin. Have u done a review showing the courses and play on the mlm2pro? Btw noticed significant differences in peak height between the 2 units in your test. Shame on those haters!
I would absolutely LOVE to but unfortunately I don't have access to the mevo plus 😭. If anyone is interested in sending me one for a week so I can do some tests I'd be more than happy to! 🤣
Have you noticed a difference in the launch angles with the latest Firmware update? By the way, great video very impartial and just providing the data.
Thanks mate! I haven't noticed it no.. I've been very focused on the spin axis to be honest. I'll keep an eye on it but nothing has caught my attention.
Excellent fair comparison showing all 5 parameters that affect ball flight. Clear that rapsodo is great bang for your buck. Just one thing, gc3 is self leveling I believe
Hello Joe, excellent comparison, David called me, I am a professional player in Spain, my question is the following, do you think that with the special callaway ball for the rapsodomlm2pro the readings would be more equal? I say this because of the differences you have had with the 4 iron and the driver, I have had 3 simulators and the mlm2 gives me a lot of confidence. what do you think? thank you for your honesty😊
Thanks David! I appreciate the message and I LOVE Spain!! I have been there a few times.. my Aunty and Uncle owned an apartment there for years so we used to go for holidays. I played La Cala many times. So this test I was using the Callaway RPT golf balls the official ones from Rapsodo. I think the Rapsodo is amazing and really held its own in this comparison. For the price it is absolutely incredible. They still need to work on things like connectivity issues and bugs in the app but the data is fantastic.
La Cala I liked it a lot, I remember a par 3 of 230 meters, I would say the 14th hole, in Malaga I played more in Guadalhorce, in the Miguel Ángel Jimenes course and in the real Málaga country club, a good place to practice this beautiful sport. Ty and I will continue seeing your contributions
It's remarkable how close these two units were. Re: people giving you heat on the previous video - who cares. I mean, really, who cares. I thought it was a good video, you demonstrated some spin axis differences *in your experience* between two camera-based units. Keep on doing what you're doing. You can't please everyone and you shouldn't lose sleep over it.
i thought the rapsodo doesnt read spin at all if you dont use a dot ball. if i change out my rapsodo ball for a differnt one it gives me bonkers spin rates
Yes you must use the RPT balls or the Rapsodo ball dots for the unit to calculate spin and spin axis correctly. I was using them in this test. If you don't use them the unit will take the HLA (horizontal launch angle) and then go dead straight.
The GC3 and Eye mini are both going to be way better than the MLM2PRO at chipping and of course they can putt but if you're just after nothing but actual full shots the MLM2PRO is more than good enough!
to hell with these haters.. love the video,,, my only thing is using more screen space.. your logo in the video takes away from other things id like to be seeing like your swing etc.. other than that love the comparison and cant wait till i finally get my mlm2!
I noticed that the carry distances were pretty close but total distance was off with Rapsoto (always less yardage) BTW thank you for the test comparison!
Yes carry yardage is definitely what you want to pay attention to here. Total yardage is going to vary with the software and how firm the fairways or greens are and how effectively long the grass is... Just like in real life. The most important thing is ball speed and they were both spot on. Hook the MLM2PRO up to GS Pro and you would get the roll out that the GC3 was having.
Sadly . For me the new firmware and update on the MLM2pro has been a absolute disaster . I was one of the lucky ones who had a flawless working unit . Picked up every shot . Chips as short as 1.5 meters . Super accurate . Then did the upgrade which you are forced to do and my unit has been a worthless ever since . It misses many shots . For what ever reason it cant read back spin accurately . All my clubs no matter what club will range from 860 to 12500 spin rate . Is completely random . Tried moving things . Did reinstall . Nothing is working . Tried to play GSpro today and had to quit could not get any wedges to hold the green with 860 spin . So sad . I was the one who was always cheering how great the unit was and now this . LOL . They need to have a option to revert back to old update or firm ware . I have contacted support . See what happens . I use this almost daily . Not now .Any one else having this issue .
Ive not used mine a great deal recently as my set up is in my garden and the english weather is terrible but sounds similar to me. Never had any disconnects and the accuracy seemed spot on, done the latest update tried it out for an hour and had multiple disconnects and the odd misread which i never had previously!
I’ve had ongoing issues. Primarily losing connection, secondarily app crash. App crash when trying to go to ‘practice’. Etc. Support has told me before that my internet connection bandwidth was too limited/poor signal. 1 Gig and about 20’ from modem but in garage. But most disconnects seem to happen when there are more people at the house who are on the Wi-Fi, so sounded like a possible explanation. As response, fiber company put in an extender/booster in garage, now about 5’ from unit. Issues continue. It is a very frustrating unit, but the tease is there with all of the features, accuracy and portability.
Yeah I tend to agree 👍 it's kind of just a disclaimer 😂. There is always the potential I guess but for me both of them seemed able to read it correctly when they were both on.
Makes zero difference for eye mini and GC3. It takes photos within 12 inches so doesn’t matter about ball flight. Once the ball is out there, you’re subject to wind and elevation so it’s pointless anyway
@@baysidegolf I know that. But as ball flight on both units is not identical. The only way to see whats really happening is to go to the range and see whats really correct! Of course it has to be on a silent day 🙂
Ignore the idiots Joe, Genuine people know the sincerity that you give us this information. Appreciate your contribution. Forget the people having. a bad life!!!!!!
I'm looking into the MLM2 PRO but in all your videos you have so many disconnects. How are you connecting the MLM2 PRO? Doesn't give me much confidence in the device.
Yes I'm not going to lie I have had disconnection issues but the recent update has seemed to fix them again. With my channel I leave everything in so people get a real experience of the device. The cons with this device are: the odd disconnect, the odd missed shot. Apart from that you're literally getting GC Quad like data... It's actually incredible for the price. Like I said my disconnects have seemed to have been resolved again with the recent update but it's still concerning. The good thing is now when it does disconnect it will reconnect by itself. But you still have to wait about a minute for it to do so... I would choose this over any other launch monitor at this price point. In my opinion it's the budget king!
Thanks for getting back to me Joe. The connection issues are a concern considering how many bad reviews are out about but the unit itself is so good for the price I’m thinking I’m willing to take the risk. Using this with an iPad anywhere there is a net sounds amazing. Keep up the good work.

Thank you Sam for letting Joe borrow your GC3! The range graphics look so good on the GC3, but numbers/spin feel spot on for the $700 vs $7,000 price tag.
Thanks! This is GSPro range, not Foresights own range.
Great and fair comparison. Well done Joe! Looking forward to more Rapsodo videos 👍
Idk how people can fault an unbiased, unpaid video?!?
Thanks, Joe for your hard work.
Thanks mate! Yes that's true I should put a disclaimer at the start of my videos 🤣.
Cheers
I just ordered an MLM2Pro. This video was great. I'm glad the unit seems so good for a budget launch monitor and sim. Also, can't imagine why you are getting heat, but I'm grateful to you for putting this out.
Thanks for the message mate! Good to hear you're getting the MLM2PRO it is actually incredible how accurate it is for the price point.
Since the last update, I also noticed a few (1 in 250 maybe) shots where the ball speed was way off.
ty Joe, i also notice my mlm2pro is more draw biased as well. Not a lot, but enough for me to want to aim out to the right a touch on each shot.
You’ll never please everyone. Great videos Joe!
Thanks Alex! Appreciate the comment mate
Oh wow I'll have to go back and watch it I didn't even pick up on this! Thanks for commenting 🙏
Thanks for the comparison. Crazy how close it is.
Thanks for the video, you convinced me this was the one to go with so I just ordered it!
When I did this test I was actually blown away with the results... I couldn't believe the MLM2PRO every shot I was like yep that's spot on! 🤯
Yes there are issues with the device...
So what would you buy? Original Skytrak, MLM2Pro or save for a used GC2?
@@JLagGOLF Greatly appreciate your insight. Subscribing for more content.
Thanks for the video. The MLM2Pro is getting better with each firmware/software upgrade and, for the price pretty close to other systems, much more expensive from what your numbers show.
Yeah it is a seriously impressive unit for the cost.. Rapsodo just needs to make it a bit more consistent now across all users and for the cost this has to be the best bang for buck LM.
love your work. your honest opinion is key. keep it up brother!
Thanks for the comment mate! 🙏
When you seen the discrepancies which unit did you feel read the right shot?
Nice comparison, would you do this with the Mevo+ limited edition?
I would absolutely LOVE to but unfortunately I don't have access to the mevo plus 😭. If anyone is interested in sending me one for a week so I can do some tests I'd be more than happy to! 🤣
Similar to you, I never really had connection issues until the latest update--frustrating!
Yes it absolutely is.. but I like to eliminate every possible variable. 🤣
Thanks mate!
Well done, keep doing what you are doing!
Thanks mate 🙏
It's remarkable how close these two units were.
Re: people giving you heat on the previous video - who cares. I mean, really, who cares. I thought it was a good video, you demonstrated some spin axis differences *in your experience* between two camera-based units.
Keep on doing what you're doing. You can't please everyone and you shouldn't lose sleep over it.
Thanks mate I really appreciate that 🙏. Yes they were actually insanely close!! I was very impressed that the GC3 could hang with the MLM2PRO 🤣
@@JLagGOLF 🤣 🤣
I bought the Rhapsodo and really love it so far. Can't really beat it for the price.
For the price its actually incredible how accurate this thing is! They just need to work out the connection issues 🤞🤞 I love mine.
i thought the rapsodo doesnt read spin at all if you dont use a dot ball. if i change out my rapsodo ball for a differnt one it gives me bonkers spin rates
Yes you must use the RPT balls or the Rapsodo ball dots for the unit to calculate spin and spin axis correctly. I was using them in this test.
If you don't use them the unit will take the HLA (horizontal launch angle) and then go dead straight.
@@JLagGOLF after a year of owning they it I had no idea my old rpt balls from a previous unit worked so well. Thanks for the info
great video thanks! stops me feeling like I need to spend a bunch of money
The GC3 and Eye mini are both going to be way better than the MLM2PRO at chipping and of course they can putt but if you're just after nothing but actual full shots the MLM2PRO is more than good enough!
to prevent disconnects on mlm2pro use low image setting on ball setting
to hell with these haters.. love the video,,, my only thing is using more screen space.. your logo in the video takes away from other things id like to be seeing like your swing etc.. other than that love the comparison and cant wait till i finally get my mlm2!
Thanks mate I really appreciate that! 🙏
great comparison sir
I noticed that the carry distances were pretty close but total distance was off with Rapsoto (always less yardage) BTW thank you for the test comparison!
Yes carry yardage is definitely what you want to pay attention to here. Total yardage is going to vary with the software and how firm the fairways or greens are and how effectively long the grass is... Just like in real life. The most important thing is ball speed and they were both spot on. Hook the MLM2PRO up to GS Pro and you would get the roll out that the GC3 was having.
Great stuff mate!
Side by side is pretty good in my opinion. I don't think there would be any interference or you'd see ridiculous numbers on both.
Yeah I tend to agree 👍 it's kind of just a disclaimer 😂. There is always the potential I guess but for me both of them seemed able to read it correctly when they were both on.
Please take GC3, Eye Mini and Rapsodo to a real outdoor drivingrange and do the same test 💪💪Great videos you make
Makes zero difference for eye mini and GC3.
Of course it has to be on a silent day 🙂
Your swing is perfect.
Thanks mate I really appreciate that! 🙏 It definitely isn't hahaha
very good thx
Thanks mate
Ignore the idiots Joe, Genuine people know the sincerity that you give us this information. Appreciate your contribution. Forget the people having. a bad life!!!!!!
Thanks Martin I really appreciate this comment mate!
Cheers
$7k vs $600 can't fault the rapsodo
