- We are taking you back down to the rental to tear into the ceiling to look for mold, the attic to look at the roof structure and the underside of the house to check the foundation. What we find is shocking! It's time to demolish this house and build a new rental but first we have 2 new puppies to introduce and Ellie's birthday to celebrate!

We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while building our own off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.
Our house build is documented entirely on our main channel "Wild Wonderful Off-Grid". This channel is dedicated to short vlogs showing our life outside the build.

Farm kids are amazing. When city kids are 10-12 years old their entire focus is cell phones. Mom's Taxi is or a bus is the only means of transportation. Country kids can already drive ANYTHING with wheels on it. In another year or two Ellie will be driving the ATV, and more than likely the tractor. The computer is only a side issue.

I grew up on a farm. Time in my life that I will never forget. My kids grew up in Suburbs. They know the things they missed out on. We have been inspired by your videos to look for land an relocate to a more rural location. Your kids have grown up before my eyes. You all have a beautiful life and beautiful family. But you won’t be able to do the control burn if your going to keep the metal trailer frame. It will buckle and warp under the fire... JS
I did that years ago before demolishing an old house and the fire department really appreciated it. They just practiced cutting holes in the roof, no burn necessary.

Glad you decided to tear it down and rebuild from the ground up. Remodel would be expensive, hard work and you would never get rid of all the issues. The new build will be an investment and another project for the channel... we all win.

Here in Southern Ontario, in grey zone(complete lock down), I needed this. Simple, sweet, joyful, heart warming, laughter.
In the UK we are in our 20th week of full lockdown with most other weeks since March 23rd 2020 partial lockdown. This family reminds me what the outside world is like. Wish them nothing but the best.

I use extra heavy duty dog line spirals and they seem to keep the wind from pulling it up as long as you connect to the upper section or ring were the springs are.
