JB, I feel like you allowed Alvin to express himself in a way he may not have to others in his life. Very compelling. I wish He and his family well! Bob
JB I teared up on the fishing story. I lost my husband 3 years ago. It’s the memories that stay behind like the fishing guide said. The things that person did that leave a legacy that helps to inspire others. I pray he keeps doing his guide service for a long time. His positive attitude and knowledge and love of fishing will encourage others to pursue their loves as well!
Alvin is a super cool dude. Top shelf guy. I have known Alvin for 25 years or more. I have never fished with him, but I feel certain that you would have an incredible day with him. I met him many years ago at the great fly shop called the Austin Angler.
JB thank you for continuing the TCR legacy. You bring yourself as you are and unpretentious. Being away from Texas in another country you aid me in keeping touch with the great state of Texas. I look forward to your next story.
JB, I love the way you bring out the best in people, and ask all the perfect question that we need to have answered. The only other one who always did that was Bob, so probably a great compliment.
I was having no luck at Lakeville Lake in northern Indiana so I went in to the bait store. Bonnie Kelly, the proprietor, put a fly rig on my spin-cast rod and I returned to the boat launch. My first cast I immediately had a fish.

All great stories, but that last one touches my heart. What an amazing man, husband and father.

Great stories and content. Different walks in life for sure but all have a goal!
Wonderful episode! I hope I can have the time to visit some of these folks...
I try to catch TCR on KHOU's 11.1, but sometimes games or other events interfere. Thanks for posting these.
