for the staccato P the inforce streamlight model goes really well flush ❤
Man, I have been watching you since your 5' STI Tactical one and never you were in CA. Congrats on the XC and looks a lot better with DLC tool less guide rod and the Taran magwell.
Thank you for watching for this long. I wish I can say where I work and stuff but so many regulations and hatred for police. I can buy these off-roaster guns for duty use so I guess that’s good but it wears out so quickly that the wear and tear marks make me sad 🤣🤣🤣
@@TacticalExpedition brotha be happy that you can get one with LEO discount, I have pay double the price out here in CA.
Great video, Awesome gun
Where can you buy wing for light!?
Great video! Mine has the gen 2 grip, which is the only thing I’m not crazy about on it
Just stipple it and it will be amazing 👍🏼
Yeah I would have to send it in to get done. I’m not confident in my abilities and even to have someone else stipple a staccato grip isn’t cheap. I guess that comes with the territory with anything staccato
@@cgtlea9202 There are so many companies that does great work. I also like Laser Stippling. $200-$500 range.
Cmon, make another Taycan video, poke, poke!❤
I will. Soon. I already filmed it. 👍🏼
If I used a Staccato for carry, I would like a less obtrusive mag funnel also. I actually like the look of smaller TLR7 better, and like the button on TLR7 far better. I never liked Surefire pistol light button that digs into finger.
I really like TLR-7 but everyone made fun of me. Hahahahha
Hey brother where did you find that bit? I ordered the the Fat wrench by wheeler but the bits are way to big for the star screws on the trijicon
I bought a DeWalt collection of bits from Home Depot. It was cheap and comes with different sizes.
Maybe I need to switch departments if y'all can use staccato’s
Ontario Police Department gives their officers Staccato XC with RMR HD. Crazy !!!
70% of our CA department runs staccatos. I love my XC
Is it really 22-24 lbs of torque when mounting the optic plate to the slide? I thought I saw 12 lbs somewhere else.
22-24lbs - Plate to Slide
18-20lbs - RMR to Plate
This info is straight from Staccato Armorer.
Nice! Where did you buy the DLC guide Rod?
I got it at Atlas. 👍🏼
@@TacticalExpedition thank you, I did see that, but it says it doesn't work with Staccato?
@@HaveAblessedDay7777on Second Glance at the atlas website they make one specifically for Staccato,,,,, so I guess they're no longer rivals as you stated 👍
where did you got the Ti screws for the RMR ? did you had to do a modification ? if you could provide a link would be great!! TIA
It’s from Taran Tactical innovation website. Just search titanium screws. 👍🏼
@@TacticalExpedition I assume they should work with the RMR HD as well ? Thank you!!
@@eikm31 yes it does.
Where did you get the flat slide stop? Did you need to modify it in any way?
No. I didn't modify anything. I took it out from my special edition Staccato P and installed it on XC. It came like that from Staccato.
Where did you find a DLC guide rod and flat slide stop? By the way you have a very nice setup.
Atlas
Have you fired the gun yet? I’m curious if it’s functioning? I looked at the 5 inch DLC guide rod from atlas and in the description it says
“This reverse plug ONLY works in Atlas Gunworks Pistols and similar handmade pistols. It will not work in Staccato or Prodigy Pistols.”
@@DavidReynoso-sy4vd it’s exact same design. They might have wrote that for legal purposes. It’s so accurate. It works perfectly.
LE here and I carry my P on duty. I really want a XC but have a hard time justifying the cost vs added performance. Per Joe Chambers from chambers customs I switched my recoils spring out for a 16lb one. Makes the gun shoot very flat. Gun hardly moves. I also shot a staccato XC at a carbine class. I wasn’t blown away. Yes it was a little flatter shooting but not 2k flatter. I would like to revisit and get more time behind an XC to see if my opinion would change. Idk, how much of a difference do you think the felt recoil is between the P and xc?
Just like you mentioned, little flatter. I want to carry the best gun possible during work to help me save my life when it counts. It’s just $2000 difference and that’s nothing compared to my career as LEO. This is my philosophy 👍🏼
Bro, contact the LE rep for your area. Get in on a LE group buy. There's discounts in numbers. 😅
Love my XC. 2.5lb trigger, grippy grip nothing to hate everything to love.
Staccato offers a 25% discount code if you hit up a rep. I’ve ran a P, and ported C2’s on duty, my XC has by far out performed them. The majority of us run an XC or an XL.
I have since broke down and bought the XC. Took it to a firearms instructor course. Very happy with it. I’ve had it for about a month. 2500 rounds, no hiccups. Now I have the XC,P, and C2. Was thinking about offloading the P but it’s still special to me lol. Might just keep it as a duty backup. The C2 is off duty carry.
@@86keen Staccato also honors their loaner program if you are involved in an OIS and staccato is seized for processing.
since you got both guns which one would you recommend more ?
XC. I don’t even touch Staccato P. 🤣
thanks alot for your answer , you know i wanna save time to buy the p and then wanted the xc and waiting another 6month. @@TacticalExpedition
What recoil spring weight is the Police Department running on XC?
Not sure. It just came from the factory. Is there a way I can find out?
@@TacticalExpeditionNo, The only way to find out if you rack the slide and see how light it feels. I hope they're not running the standard 7 pound lbs spring cause that will be very concerning to me.
It’s a lot lighter than my staccato P spring. So, it’s awesome 🤣🤣🤣
Duty gun configuration is of memory serves, 4.5lb trigger and 10lb recoil spring.
I went standard 2.5 and installed a 10lb recoil spring for reliability with shit ammo and my utter lack of disregard for cleaning. Works great.😅
I thought XC's were 7lb. Called Staccato, was told they ship with an 8lb spring. Thinking about ordering a Wolff 9 and 10
What grip tape do you have on the frame?
amzn.to/48MDPVe
That carry magwell doesn't fit. Noticed your vid skipped when you mounted it. Did you have to dremel your grip or magwell??
It fits perfectly. I didn’t modify anything. It’s tight but just have to push that in.
Who manufactured the dlc tool less guide rod? Also, is the Taran Tactical magwell slimmer than the Staccato magwell?
Atlas tool works. Magwell size is similar with better minimalistic look.
@TacticalExpedition okay cool. I had checked the Atlas website earlier, but they were only offering the DLC rod itself. The one for Staccato handguns doesn't come with a reverse plug. The website says it isn't compatible. Yours came with the plug?
atlasgunworks.com/product/5.0-tool-less-guiderod-1
@@TacticalExpedition any issues to shoot? Atlas literally says "Staccato Pistols: Reverse plug is not compatible"
@@user-pb7vv3lj2lweird. It’s exact replica and looks same. Works great. Hahaha.
What DLC guide rod did you go with, or did you have one sent out?
I got it from atlas. 👍🏼
@@TacticalExpedition did the reverse plug work fine? I just ordered one for my xc after seeing this video. Asking bc on their site it says the reverse plug doesn't work with staccato.
It works perfectly. 👍🏼
@@TacticalExpedition got my XC on the way and the guide rod ordered thanks again 🙏🏾
Where did you get those titanium screws?
Taran Tactical Innovations 👍🏼
@@TacticalExpedition thanks for the quick response! I’ve been dealing with a stripped screw nightmare with my staccato. The ones that come with the DP kit, strip just by looking at them.
Mine just stripped again. Bad quality screws.
Does your staccato serial start with KM 😅
No. It starts with XC. It’s kinda cool. 👍🏼
@@TacticalExpedition I’m not talking about that one. Ima talking about the other staccato. Looks like the LAPD Metro version 😉
@@robertl8498 no.. my staccato P serial number does not start with KM. It's not the version you mentioned. It's the special edition version they put together for a small group of buyers at the time.
@@TacticalExpedition okay great. Good content by the way.
Where did you get the DLC guide rod?
Atlas
What’s the name of the torque screwdriver you used ?
amzn.to/3ttVTUQ
Thanks I appreciate it. I’m guessing you work for Ontario since they just got XC’s issued for duty. I’m definitely envious as a cop working at a nearby agency lol.
@@theaveragecitizen7130I don’t work for Ontario PD. This Staccato XC is mine. Also, I don’t have RMR HD. 😂
@@TacticalExpedition still luck imo😂 I only have one staccato in my collection. I just picked up the new heritage edition and I can see why staccato has become popular amongst my partners. Anyways, your channel puts out good content !
@@theaveragecitizen7130 Staccato Heritage is for rich people..LOL. I don't have that or have money for that. 🤣
Where do you find the dlc guide rod??
Atlas
How many rounds can law enforcement carry in their duty guns?I’m from Texas no law enforcement and I carry my xc with my 20 round magazines
Some agencies don’t have the limit. Usually, whatever comes stock from the gun manufacturer. So, between 17-22ish. I carry 17+1. 👍🏼
In Iowa I carry 3 twenty rounders on duty
Alabama LE here. Three 20 rounders and the 17+1 in the gun for comfort seated in the G-ride.😅
