- This video shows the steps in the framing process after the carpentry work and hand carving have been completed. The frame is an American Impressionist style frame, C&J #C790. We have built up the rabbet depth in order to accommodate a canvas stretcher. The finish is our 22k gold antique dark finish, and is intended to match the look of the frames from this period. The center panel of the frame has an un-burnished matte finish that contrasts with the rest of the frame. The entire frame has yellow clay with red highlights on the inner and outer rails. This is a link to a picture of the frame on our website: www.cjframes.co...
Mire ha mi me gustaria para mis cuadros enmarco tallado mas enlaminado en oro
Cuanto cuesta uno como eso 120- 61
Lovely work
Do you buy your moulding or do you make and carve your own? BTW, that is a gorgeous frame.
C&J makes all of it's own moulding.
@revaz39 It's a casein based wash with different finishing powders added. The consistency is muddy but liquid.
@revaz39 I can tell you that it is in fact a liquid although different finishing powders are mixed in.

Why the Agate, to brush down the gold leaf?
Beautiful frame!
What is patina made of? Looks like it is not liquid solution.
Do you make your own gesso or do you buy it ready? And where do you buy your gold and patina?
May i ask, why are these mirrors done in red clay? Is it the material or just for the colour? thank you!
They can be done in any clay color but red is the most common. This wasn't for mirrors.
What this liquid is made of? Is it something special?
Very nice treatment. I will be going to your website! Thanks!
what type of tool are you using to cut patches from the leaf?
The pinky cutter is made out of an aluminum can.
What makes me sad here is knowing I will never reach this level of skill.
You're just pushing a brush... It's a lot easier than you think.
@@ivorytower99 do you even know what he is doing?
@@DarthNinjaCode I think so, as I did this 7 days a week, 14 hours a day, for 6 or so years.
@@ivorytower99 so you know it is not just pushing a brush
@@DarthNinjaCode It's an expression, to (simply) "push" the brush (IE: "get the job done").
