Thank you for infusing a classical touch to Madonna’s spiritual anthem. Your setting in this 16th century gothic Benedictine abbey church is impressive. Peace and love to all.
Dose anyone know the meaning of this song. 🤣 dose anyone do research. There is a reason why Madonna got band from Europe for this song. Madonna has been mocking the church for a long time now.
It has a double meaning. Every source you’ll find will tell u that. So yes, partly it is actually about religion. Also I don’t think it’s necessarily wrong for them to sing it. They would’ve known the double meaning, it was known everywhere back in the day. Madonna originally wrote the song purely about Catholicism, describing it as “a girl so in love with god it’s almost as though God was a male figure in her life”. Some of the inspiration and lyrics refer to transubstantiation and liturgy. It wasn’t till later on she made the lyrics have dual meanings. Sexual desires are mostly not frowned upon in the Church. They actually did not care about the “dual meaning”. She got ‘cancelled’ because of the music video because it shows burning crosses so it was seen as an insult to the Church - in reality it wasn’t actually intended to be an insult, it was a metaphor. Madonna’s upbringing has caused her to have a very complex relationship with the Catholic Church, however to state she simply ‘mocks’ it, is incredibly simplistic. To summarise, nah, I don’t think it’s bad that the choir sang it, when putting it all into perspective.
@@mia-mf5xtIt's about your love and devotion for someone being so strong that it feels akin to a spiritual experience. It's also about sex and intimacy as a form of worshipping someone. The themes are intentionally sacrilegious as Madonna has openly criticized her catholic upbringing. She resents it for instilling so much guilt in her.
Came here looking for Deadpool…damn, that one dude slightly louder than everyone else near the mic..he was so flat I got stuck under his note listening for ages like not being able to look away from a car crash… I had to slap myself out of a coma. Terrible rendition, sorry!

So sick!
Of all the versions out there....I'm a little disappointed with this one. Needs more soul in it.
