This is so wonderfully accurate and enlightening, and a very good representation of dominant female cat and dominant male cat in a large flock of felines. Assigning one cat "alpha" among the cats (or any cats) would be inaccurate as cats subscribe to a different idea of hierarchy compared to humans and canines, for example (not to mention the alpha theory is inaccurate to begin with). Obviously TT and DD are the dominant cats in this household. They serve different roles, though. Dominant males are more social and hands-on in keeping the others in check. They work among the other cats. Dominant females, on the other hand, take an administrative role and maintain a distance. The female dominant cat is the one that considers the resources and maintains order, and also acts as a foster mother/grandmother in the cat group. The dominant female steps up when someone needs to be nurtured. This dual-ruler arrangement enables the others to live peacefully as cats have a very, very loose sense of hierarchy otherwise, and they constantly challenge it. The male cats especially question DD's position (and fail, DD pounce is too powerful). The dominant female tends to be very precise about her personal space as a result of the loose hierarchy - it's to remind others who is the boss. Whenever TT smacks DD it isn't related to fighting over dominance - it is because TT is particular about her personal space and she doesn't want the dominant male DD to think he has some privileges to her (in this case, snuggles, a very valuable resource) and remind him that she is "working". You can see this reflected in moves and visiting the office and vet: TT and DD are the first ones to arrive to a new home. Claire says DD's presence makes the others more comfortable. However, TT is always most confident during moves and entering new environments, her tail always up high from the start. They are equals and their roles serve a different purpose, but both maintain the peace among the cats.

1) DD is a GENTLEMAN that won't punch the girls (even when being punched often by TT!😅)
2) TT is a QUEEN that accept love from all the meows in the house EXCEPT for DD!😅
3) Coco & Momo relationship is just BFF. Momo ❤ all the girls in the house!😆
4) Lulu ❤ Chuchu (obviously). Chuchu accepted Lulu's love but occasionally she needs her ME time too! But Lulu WILL pounce on Chuchu, ok? But "pounce" in ANOTHER way, if u know what I mean...🤭
5) Lala ❤ DD! This is also obvious. But yup~it's a 1-sided love, just like how Momo is towards her!😆
6) Nana wants EVERYONE to love her (guess it has something to do with her 'background'?🤔).
7) Dodo & Nana is purely son-mother love which is normal.
8) Toto & Dodo is purely brotherly love where they always play & fight with each other (something like MoCo relationship)
9) Lala & Lulu is strictly partner-in-crime relationship!😁
10) ALL the meows ❤ Claire!😉
