Peter Lloyd i agree with your commentary. I have watched Kishane races and I am of the view that he will be the next Usain Bolt. I like his humility and his respect for his coach. He will be the guy to watch in Paris. I am happy to see that the Jamaican men sprint has returned since the retirement of Bolt. It will be interesting times in Paris. People stay safe during the hurricane.
Last year when I saw Kishane run at the finals at the Xiamen Diamond League. He came out of nowhere with that “bounce” he ran a 9.85!!! I immediately started following him!!! Coleman barely beat him with 9.83. When I saw that race I knew that 2024 was going to be his!!!! I knew he was going to be a force to be reckoned with. At the Prefontaine Classic he ran a 9.87!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I've heard many predictions regarding track/ field in multiple world and olympics, most times our predictions doesn't fall thru, don't forget the 2004 olympics when asafa, cruise thru the rounds , and when finals he came down the field, gatlin won the finals, after bolt retired , there were countless predictions on who would replace him, Yohan, degrasse, bailey-cole and the list goes on, track n field unpredictable
I doubt they my friend this new kid on the block is way too strong and fast and what makes him scary he is her consistent in all his race proved he got the magic factor.
@donshelly There’s no wait and see after a full year Noah Lyles pb is 9.83. and he still struggles to pb again on the 2nd fast track at Heyhoud field in Eugene.. Oblique Seville 30 days ago ran a 9.82 pb on his first 100m run of the season. Leave Kishane Thompson out of this because he is incredibly faster…
@@tyeguy5373that’s why the race is run……… nobody has won anything yet and your guy has only run 9.7 once. He better be ready for the Olympic pressure. We will see and we will come back to this video after the finals!!
I agree that Kishane Thompson is the most exciting sprinter I have seen since Bolt. I watch his performance at the just concluded Jamaica trials in the men's 100m and I agree that it would appear that he can go faster. Having looked at the race again however, he shut down closer to 75m than 60m. Therefore, while he can go faster, I am not sure if he can go as fast as 9.69. And based on his recent 100m times, I am confident that he would be difficult to beat at the Paris Olympic Games.
It was not said by a commentator, not a spectator, not an analyst, not a family member but his own coach said 9.69 someone that sees him trains him and knows what he is capable of doubt him at your own peril
Anyone who knows Athletics knows that to climb thru 99s 98s to 97s and come off the gas is Elite. If Noah had 97s we'd have it already. Same for Coleman. Same for Jacobs, these guys fight in the 99s to 98s arena. Its a fact and while Seville may get there , let's be honest , he's been around long enough to show the world if he has 97s legs.
@ Nationalpatriots Kishane Thompson Small display of speed changes everything, so much that it causes lots of sprint coaches around the world to change their strategy for the Olympics.. Oblique Seville and Kishane Thompson are a top the sprinting world going in to Paris.. . And both Kishane & Seville are being tapered off by their legendary, coaches who have bin down this road multiple of times..
I will reserve my judgment until this evening's race in Hungary. He will be tested against 2 of the contenders in Simbine and Tebogo. He has ran that time at home once, let's see if he can reproduce it again b4 we hang the gold medal around his neck. How will his nerve hold up when he has persons beside him that can also run fast and he is is under pressure. Will he execute correctly on the day? Lots of questions..I guess time will tell. I would like him to win in Paris but cautious as everyone will be coming with their A game as well.
He is just getting over his injuries why pressure himself to run 200m, in another year when he is fully sure that his injury issues are in the rear view then he can run his better event which is the 200, oops i let the cat out ,the 200 is his better event folks!!
@realpen I don’t think so, simply because she haven’t ran sub 11 in years.. Crystal Sloley just ran 10.99 a month ago she would be at the top of the Jaaa list as will would go as a back up.. Brianna need spend the rest of the season running some 400Ms for speed endurance for her 100 & 200Ms and be ready for next season… Krystal Sloley of MVP with her 10.99 pb would be a top of the Jaaa list as who will as a reserve.. As fas as next season the Jamaican female sprinting team will be much more Competitive.. Because Stephen Francis is getting ready to flood the zone with a bunch of 19 to 21 year old female who are running super fast.. As you saw with that 10.86 from Tia Clayton over the weekend, rumor, have it that she will go much faster at the Paris games next month, Tia and her sister Tina are from that bunch of young laddies ready take over next year.. Making the Jamaican team on the female side-is going to be much more difficult, with frano and his group ready to dominate…
