    Peter Lloyd i agree with your commentary. I have watched Kishane races and I am of the view that he will be the next Usain Bolt. I like his humility and his respect for his coach. He will be the guy to watch in Paris. I am happy to see that the Jamaican men sprint has returned since the retirement of Bolt. It will be interesting times in Paris. People stay safe during the hurricane.

    Last year when I saw Kishane run at the finals at the Xiamen Diamond League. He came out of nowhere with that “bounce” he ran a 9.85!!! I immediately started following him!!! Coleman barely beat him with 9.83. When I saw that race I knew that 2024 was going to be his!!!! I knew he was going to be a force to be reckoned with. At the Prefontaine Classic he ran a 9.87!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

    I've heard many predictions regarding track/ field in multiple world and olympics, most times our predictions doesn't fall thru, don't forget the 2004 olympics when asafa, cruise thru the rounds , and when finals he came down the field, gatlin won the finals, after bolt retired , there were countless predictions on who would replace him, Yohan, degrasse, bailey-cole and the list goes on, track n field unpredictable

      @donshelly There’s no wait and see after a full year Noah Lyles pb is 9.83.
      and he still struggles to pb again on the 2nd fast track at Heyhoud field in Eugene..
      Oblique Seville 30 days ago ran a 9.82 pb on his first 100m run of the season.
      Leave Kishane Thompson out of this because he is incredibly faster…

    Anyone who knows Athletics knows that to climb thru 99s 98s to 97s and come off the gas is Elite. If Noah had 97s we'd have it already. Same for Coleman. Same for Jacobs, these guys fight in the 99s to 98s arena. Its a fact and while Seville may get there , let's be honest , he's been around long enough to show the world if he has 97s legs.

    I agree that Kishane Thompson is the most exciting sprinter I have seen since Bolt. I watch his performance at the just concluded Jamaica trials in the men's 100m and I agree that it would appear that he can go faster. Having looked at the race again however, he shut down closer to 75m than 60m. Therefore, while he can go faster, I am not sure if he can go as fast as 9.69. And based on his recent 100m times, I am confident that he would be difficult to beat at the Paris Olympic Games.

    • @joedipps

    • @tyeguy5373
      @tyeguy5373 18 днів тому

      @realpen I don’t think so, simply because she haven’t ran sub 11 in years..
      Crystal Sloley just ran 10.99 a month ago she would be at the top of the Jaaa list as will would go as a back up..
      Brianna need spend the rest of the season running some 400Ms for speed endurance for her 100 & 200Ms and be ready for next season…
      Krystal Sloley of MVP with her 10.99 pb would be a top of the Jaaa list as who will as a reserve..
      As fas as next season the Jamaican female sprinting team will be much more Competitive..
      Because Stephen Francis is getting ready to flood the zone with a bunch of 19 to 21 year old female who are running super fast..
      As you saw with that 10.86 from Tia Clayton over the weekend, rumor, have it that she will go much faster at the Paris games next month, Tia and her sister Tina are from that bunch of young laddies ready take over next year..
      Making the Jamaican team on the female side-is going to be much more difficult, with frano and his group ready to dominate…

    I will reserve my judgment until this evening's race in Hungary. He will be tested against 2 of the contenders in Simbine and Tebogo. He has ran that time at home once, let's see if he can reproduce it again b4 we hang the gold medal around his neck. How will his nerve hold up when he has persons beside him that can also run fast and he is is under pressure. Will he execute correctly on the day? Lots of questions..I guess time will tell. I would like him to win in Paris but cautious as everyone will be coming with their A game as well.

    Can.t find my previous comment, so here it is again. I know Kishane once ran 9.77. He ran later and did 80.s. In THIS particular race he just won, I know I heard the announcer say 9.73, official time 9.77? After, I heard u say something like, he just won with 9.89. Is my question due to old age? Help me out on this please, because if he just ran at.73, and he is cautious, Lyles cannot beat him. Has Lyles ever done 9.73?? Was Kishane recently in a race where the Kenyan won?

    Hey 👋 my man why put that kind of unproven pressure on the young brother based on time, cause in fact he has not been proven in the real battle & under the "Olympic Lights", & yes, he has great potential at home only but he has not faced the the Bigger guns that I know of except his home boys in the comfort of his own back yard, but who can or will he beat in that "Olympic" final or better yet, will he even make the final, & yes again based on time it should be no problem, but for me, reality is my only 👉🔑;👉"WHO CAN YOU BEAT IN THE FINALS OF A OLYMPIC RACE"👈 & until then my friend that is my bottom line😉!!! You are getting way ahead of yourself, he hasn't even won a race off the island of Jamaica. He's injury prone, so it's very likely he won't travel and handle the rounds well, realize Noah Lyles ran a personal best to win the World Champ in a final of 6 guys with faster PRs. Running fast times at home is different than winning Championships 😅😅😅😅!! 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

    • @ronester1
      @ronester1 18 днів тому

      @jusbusff9306 at home, it's harder to travel and handle rounds and do it under pressure of yourself and your country in front of the world and still run your own race and run a PR. Noah is a proven Champion that can do it!!! And also Noah beat everyone in that final that had faster 100m PRs and more 100m experience in Championship finals. Kishane hasn't won a single race off the island. Just saying realistically he will have a lot to accomplish, it's more than running fast times. Oblique hasn't been able to do it in two tries. Even on the women's side, Shericka hasn't done it in three tries so far. Asafa never was able to do it, and he was faster than Greene and Gaitlin but never beat them in World Champs or Olympics. You guys are just putting more pressure on him, assuming will automatically win because he ran fast at home. When Shelly and Elaine did it they were pretty much under the radar and weren't expected to do it, a lot less pressure.
