Hannah Skeldon true, but I think that’s more of Rapunzel getting better control with it and having a focused target as opposed to just reading it. Also, Varian was born wayyy after the moonstone. He wasn’t even born in the dark kingdom. His dad may have been from there, but Eugene was only a newborn when everyone evacuated the dark kingdom. If anyone has a connection, it’d probably be him.

Im glad they didnt change what they were going for with Casandra just to prove the theories wrong. GoT tried that and failed miserably to subvert expectations.
I like to point out that when Varian grabbed Rapunzel while trying to wake up from the Incantation, he his hands didn't get burned like Cassandra. And they were both wearing gloves, but Cassandra got burned. So I think this furthers the theory that Varian is connected to the moonstone and why he himself was left unaffected by the touching Rapunzel. I mean, it'd make sense.
Definitely 100% I think Varian is going to try to get through to Cassandra during her Revenge Episode and that might be when he becomes Moon Varian. I also think he might be used to revive Zhan like Rapunzel almost was. I am also hoping to hear him sing the hurt or healing incantation. Still praying for Moon Varian!!!! COME ON DISNEY!!!!

I think the ghost who talked with Cassandra was Zhan Tiri herself. (Zhan Tiri has a female voice actress, so probably is female - if demons from another dimensions have genders). I think she tried to manipulate Cassandra into taking the moonstone, because the Ultimate Power (fusion of Sundrop and Moonstone that Demanitus was talking about in "Lost and Found") is the key to allow Zhan Tiri to break from her dimensional prison (and also the key to destroy her). I disliked "Cass is Gothel's daughter" theory. I hope this memory was fabricated by Zhan Tiri as part of manipulation against Cass (and that Cass doesn't remember her true mother).
Prince_of_Cavia I'm getting the same vibe that Zhan Tiri might have something to do with this, but I do think that Cassandra is Gothels biological daughter the similarities between them are uncanny.
I don't think it was fabricated. If they wanted to do that, they would have portrayed Gothel as a great mother who wanted her daughter. Also, we know Cass knows that tune of the music box, from her memory. As she sang it prior to being in the house of yesterday's tomorrow.

Domonic Santalucia the reason I felt the redemption wasn’t rushed was because he had a whole year (or two?) of raps being gone to think of his actions. I think that he got freed by that one group and then thought “my anger brought me this far, and now I’m too far in for anyone to forgive me. I guess there is no going back.” But then he realized that they wanted to hurt corona and it’s people, and he knew he couldn’t go that far. His main motivation was to make corona forget what he did wrong, which shows he was already redeemed for quite awhile. He was and still is a moody teen, it’s not far fetched for him to switch sides easily on emotions. When he finally felt that Rapunzel would be his friend despite what happened, he felt fine. He also heard Rap’s side while she was in the cell. I think, He thought the only way to be redeemed was for others to forget his wrongs, but he finally realized he can be redeemed despite what he’s done. I actually loved his arc.

At least until the King and Queen get their memories back, which I hope will be when they have the episode The King and Queen of Hearts. While it would be kind of cool to have them be memory-impaired for the rest of the season or should I say series since this is the last season I think it would become too much for Rapunzel and Eugene after all even though he bonded with his father and realized he actually loves him, he still has a lot to learn about coming from Royal blood and being a royal especially with the huge destiny that his ancestors had, he still has to come to terms about his father coming back into his life after 24 years.
I don't like how they hurried Varian's redemption, but then again he's still a kid he's still learning his place in the world. Is Rapunzel learning to control the hurt incantation? I love Eugene and Rapunzel's new outfits. SO does this mean that Eugene and Rapunzel are in charge of Corona until her parents get their memories back I hope they aren't going to be memory-impaired throughout the season, and to be honest I think that Cass got the better end of the deal, she was raised by someone who really loves her unlike Rapunzel who was raised by a women who only pretended to love her and only used her to keep herself young and constantly put her down.
Hannah Skeldon he had a year. To you it might've been rushed, but in his perspective, he had a year to think this over and realize he doesn't want revenge. He doesn't want to hurt anyone like he thought he did. There was never joy when he was threatening someone. He served his time. Besides, he was never bad. He did bad things but his reasons are valid and clear. Like Spinel who was so actively abandoned and felt their friendship was unrequited like they were nothing but something you can use only to throw it away after. He wanted his dad back, he also wanted to start over. He didn't trust anybody to help him. Understandably, he just couldn't. He was betrayed seven times by the people who he saw as ultra friends, stalked and harassed by the king's guards for the scroll when he wasn't doing anything wrong, turned away multiples times, the king didn't care that old corona (Varian's home) was destroyed, and they weren't being understanding of his pain. Hardly. So Varian just wanted his dad back and it also took him a year to realize he also wants forgiveness and his friends back. He couldn't trust that the people of corona would ever forgive him or trust him again. He was always still the sweet, dorky cinnamon roll alchemist, but he was full of grief, rage, and heartbreak at the time. It wasn't about being turned away for the kingdom, they did have months, four months to be exact, but the stupid writing thinks it was just that one time he was turned away and betrayed. But still, despite the things I have a hard time forgiving and forgetting about, I'm happy how the premiere ended and that everybody is actually being better people so it seems. Varian isn't being treated as unimportant like he was back in season one and seems to have more importance than we think. Although, now that it's convenient for the writers and Chris Sonnenburg, they seem to be advertising the crap out of Varian after telling the fans to stop talking about him. Kind of jerky of them.

Great start to a season. I was kind of shocked at the beginning because the theory about Cassandra being Gothel's daughter is true. I'm very happy Varian is back with his father!
You have no idea how happy I am that Varian is our friend again: I'm screaming with delight! And I'm on the verge of tears for the ending. Though you forgot to mention that this was the first time Varian was ever seen without gloves. But as for this thing about Cassandra, I think there was always something bad about her. Rapunzel and absolutely everyone were never there for Varian so I don't blame him. But Cass has no reason to blame Rapunzel. She was rude, stubborn, secretive, savage and merciless: So of course she was over shadowed. And Gothel never loved either of them so why should she care? I never said Cass was always evil, I meant there was always something that made her dislikeable. For crying out loud, she was always threatening people (even her friends) and trying to slash at them with weapons without mercy. Fine! Cass was overshadowed, but Gothel didn't choose Raps, she chose the sundrop, she didn't care for either of them. Cass should be glad she got a better family. I was devastated about Varian but I think I can wait quietly for Cassandra to come back.

Great reaction I love Cassandra's villain song it's sad that Cassandra left Rapunzel and decided not to be her friend anymore or accept the fact that are sisters. But it's sadder that young Cassandra used to think she was the daughter that Mother Gothel loved until Rapunzel came along also then Gothel abandoned Cassandra for Rapunzel I like this episode too.
When I first saw this episode of tangled I was sooo shocked when they show Cassandra’s back story I did not see that coming at all my mind was blown 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 also I asked myself would Cassandra would ever turn good again before this season is over?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Cassandra will learn that wherever charmed life she thought Rapz had with their Mother wasn't nearly as much her wanting her freedom which Cass has in spades.
I think Cass knows that, but that isn't the point. Cass can see even from the flashback that Gothel was a poor abusive mother. I don't think she would ever make the charge that Gothel was a good person. However, the fact that Gothel was evil doesn't stop the fact that Cass has a connection to her, and loved her dearly as a child. You can't pick your family but you feel a strong connection to them. Cassandra felt abandonment and loss and jealousy that her own mother would pick another over her. This is basically a last straw breaking the camel's back situation. Cass already felt low self-worth and constantly outshined by Rapunzel. This was just too much.

So, just watched it. Honestly, that weird ghost kid told Cassandra all that stuff that she is Gothel's daughter. Who says this is not Zhan Tiri lying his ass off at Cass to manipulate her? They had all sorts of illusion stuff in that house, there is no 100% guarantee that this is the truth. Why would Gothel have a daughter just to abandon her in the first place? Nah, I am not completely sold. I think that girl was either Zhan Tiri or Gothel's spirit, but that solely happened to manipulate Cassandra.

Oh crap, I get you need to attract people with your thumbnail, but this means I need to ubsubscribe for the Cassandra run. I also react to the series as you know and I really want to react to it as blind as possible. I had no idea we would get to see a young Cassandra and even if that doesn't give too much away, it does take that surprise away. I was absolutely petrified when we found out that Cass was officially Mother Gothel's daughter. I never wanted to believe it but now I know it's true. I guessed Varian at first but then I thought of Andrew. I couldn't believe I was right about Andrew, but I never thought that Varian would team up with him. At that point I just wanted to give up on the show. I felt like I couldn't take it anymore. I was so scared I felt like throwing up. (Thank god I can't. LOL!) Anyways after they threw Raps and her gang out the castle with the gas Varian made for them, I thought it was interesting that Varian was starting to care about Rapunzel again. Then that scene where Raps was trapped in that prison cell and she was finally talking to him about why she couldn't help him during the time of the storm, I was amazed to see how patient Varian was. He was actually listening to her. I couldn't believe it. He still cared about their friendship. Then just moments later when Andrew revieled the new plan about using his experiment that he messed up as a bomb to drop down on Corona, I was really curious about what Varian was going to do. When he took out one of his ball bombs and demanded Andrew and his gang to step inside the cell that was behind them, I screamed with excitement. Just pure joy when he FINALLY redeemed himself. I just couldn't believe it. My little buddy is FINALLY back to normal. I was so happy! Then the part that everyone had been waiting for for almost two years finally came. The moment where Rapunzel freed Quirin from his amber encasement. OH MY GOD I WAS SO ECSTATICED! We started off so horribly wrong with Cassandra, but it was all worth it in the end when we finally got to see Varian redeeming himself and finally being reunited with his father again. I'm so glad I survived through this episode, because if I hadn't and I turned it off, I would've been very disappointed with myself for missing Varian's redemption arc and being reunited again with his father. That was the moment the fandom had been waiting for all along. I'm so glad I didn't miss it. I can't wait to see where our final season takes us. I'm Ready As I'll Ever Be!

So if Cassandra didn't betray rapunzel right away, Varian might have still changed but it would have been way more different and difficult but either way Cassandra would betray but she would steal it in corona instead of the dark kingdom and run off with her new powers? I think it's Varian being patient. Varian being empathetic and patient is more in line with his characterization than secretly being connected to MAGIC of all things. I think that is why he was able to snap Rapunzel out of her trance.

Even when at the season 2 finale, when I had a feeling she was something Gothel due to her “be careful who you trust line” like in the movie. Ah, I was a crying mess. I still am. I'm still annoyed at the plot-line for moon-bashing. I've been reading about Greek Mythology and to them the moon wasn't about decaying and withering, it was Artemis - chastity, the hunt, protector of young girls. She was strong and powerful like her twin brother Apollo god of the sun and music (among other things) was.
Rapunzel is going through the 5 stages of grief. Cassandra doesn't have all the powers of the moonstone. Half of the power of the moonstone went into Rapunzel's hair when she touched the black rocks. You should do a second part.
They pulled a Mindful Education lol I don't trust that blue ghost, esp when she's trying to get Cassandra to fester in rage and hatred. There's definitely more to this reveal.
I got to stick up for Varian for a second here. I don't condone what he did. He went off the flipping deep end toward the end of season 1, but I think the real issue with Varian that seems to get glossed over is that he felt Rapunzel didn't care about him and he just wanted some kind of support even if she couldn't actually free her father. She couldn't help him during the blizzard disaster but I feel when everything settled down she should have gone to see him at least to see if he was OK and offer emotional support. I know Rapunzel was left traumatised by the tough decisions she had to make and she needed a breather to collect herself but I was disappointed that she didn't bother with checking up at any point after the fact until he sends her a letter in "search for Varian" episode. It came across like she was deliberately ignoring him and I honestly feel the writers dropped the ball on this one. I would be more on Rapunzel's side and condemn Varian more if she showed up on his door step to check in on him and he was like "screw you go away," but it didn't play out that way. There is also the situation the Varian keeps "whining" about how "everyone turned their back on me and my father" implying that no one was willing to help him because of the rumor he attacked Rapunzel (we are not shown this but he brings this up more than once) which makes the fact he felt abandoned a little more painful. I don't agree with Varian projecting blame for his dad's entrapment onto Rapunzel (because he clearly does) because that HIS fault NOT Rapunzel's... but I also feel he had reason feel disappointed in Rapunzel as a friend and Angry over it. Again I don't agree how he went about it but still. So yeah that's my defense of Varian...
Considering Varian was already set on revenge by the end of Queen for a day. I think something worse would have happened to raPunzel than a "screw you"
@Jeku I don't know if Rapunzel checking in on Varian would have changed what went down, but it certainly didn't help that she didn't even try to see what could have been done after the fact (even if it was just to lend a shoulder to cry on and suggest a way to help him) instead of him stewing in grief, feeling dismissed and abandoned and like no one cared about him or his father. And if she did those things and he still spat in her face and blamed her, she at least could say she tried to do right by him by showing up at the earliest opportunity to try to help him. And if he is still accusatory and wrathful? Well, at least she made the effort to lend a helping hand and support. What rubs me wrong about the conflict between Varian and Rapunzel is that it relies too heavily on making Varian unreasonable and selfish and coddling Rapunzel.
I mean Rapunzel probably thought along the lines of "If Varian still needed help he he would have come back by now, since he didn't his probably okay now" I mean yeah I guess she could have checked on him but knowing how rapunzel can be a.... ditz sometimes... and also some people DO think like that... it would explain why rapunzel acted in the next episode after the storm. I get why people didn't like what she did but I also understand the way rapunzel thinked. People seem to FORGET that just because rapunzel is 18+ she has the mind of that age. Rapunzel can be clueless, oblivious to dangers, emotional, reckless, and still a child at heart/mind, touchy. SHE MAKES MISTAKES, SOME BIG ONES. SHE WAS still LEARNING that time. You can see how much she grew in season 3. How she didn't repeat his mistake Varian. She still had a lot to learn at the time and can MAKE "STUPID" decisions I agree with people that what she did wasn't the smartest thing ever but I also LOOK THROUGH HER PERSPECTIVE instead to joining the mob with pitchforks against her.
@Jeku she's a flawed character who isn't allowed to be too flawed because she is a Disney princess, and for marketing reasons, she has to stay relatively perfect and everyone else has to be more in the wrong than her. Though I disagree that she is a ditz. Rapunzel is a straight thinking girl who is upbeat and cheery. I love that they allow her to be chipper and positive since I think now a days the media is over saturated with sarcastic over serious female characters so that they come off as smart and capable...or not a ditz. I love her as a character. She is my favorite Disney princess now. It is why I can be critical of her character, too. Honestly, I just did not care for the writing for her when it came to both her conflict with Varian and Cassandra (especially Varian). I try not to be one of them, but I agree that Rapunzel gets demonized too much even when I agree with SOME of the criticism against her, I see where people who rage at her are coming from. Rapunzel is probably the most in-depth disney princess the lineup currently.
I think the priemers was good and now we know that Cassandra is the real Cassandra and is going from be on rod the antagonists this season and zantiri will be the big bad and the song Cass had was great I still think she will have a villain song in Cassandra's revenge as well but this was a pretty good song I really like it can't wait till the next episode.

I think the ghost who talked with Cassandra was Zhan Tiri herself.
(Zhan Tiri has a female voice actress, so probably is female - if demons from another dimensions have genders).
I think she tried to manipulate Cassandra into taking the moonstone, because the Ultimate Power (fusion of Sundrop and Moonstone that Demanitus was talking about in "Lost and Found") is the key to allow Zhan Tiri to break from her dimensional prison (and also the key to destroy her).
I disliked "Cass is Gothel's daughter" theory. I hope this memory was fabricated by Zhan Tiri as part of manipulation against Cass (and that Cass doesn't remember her true mother).
Prince_of_Cavia I'm getting the same vibe that Zhan Tiri might have something to do with this, but I do think that Cassandra is Gothels biological daughter the similarities between them are uncanny.
I don't think it was fabricated. If they wanted to do that, they would have portrayed Gothel as a great mother who wanted her daughter. Also, we know Cass knows that tune of the music box, from her memory. As she sang it prior to being in the house of yesterday's tomorrow.
I raised a brow when I first read Zhan Tiri is to be voiced by a female. The appearance didn't show it.

Domonic Santalucia the reason I felt the redemption wasn’t rushed was because he had a whole year (or two?) of raps being gone to think of his actions. I think that he got freed by that one group and then thought “my anger brought me this far, and now I’m too far in for anyone to forgive me. I guess there is no going back.” But then he realized that they wanted to hurt corona and it’s people, and he knew he couldn’t go that far. His main motivation was to make corona forget what he did wrong, which shows he was already redeemed for quite awhile. He was and still is a moody teen, it’s not far fetched for him to switch sides easily on emotions. When he finally felt that Rapunzel would be his friend despite what happened, he felt fine. He also heard Rap’s side while she was in the cell. I think, He thought the only way to be redeemed was for others to forget his wrongs, but he finally realized he can be redeemed despite what he’s done. I actually loved his arc.
Gracejkay I don’t care about why you think it wasn’t rushed I think it should have lasted at least 2 episodes for it to happen 1 where he starts to feel remorse the second he full on redeems

At least until the King and Queen get their memories back, which I hope will be when they have the episode The King and Queen of Hearts. While it would be kind of cool to have them be memory-impaired for the rest of the season or should I say series since this is the last season I think it would become too much for Rapunzel and Eugene after all even though he bonded with his father and realized he actually loves him, he still has a lot to learn about coming from Royal blood and being a royal especially with the huge destiny that his ancestors had, he still has to come to terms about his father coming back into his life after 24 years.
I don't like how they hurried Varian's redemption, but then again he's still a kid he's still learning his place in the world. Is Rapunzel learning to control the hurt incantation? I love Eugene and Rapunzel's new outfits. SO does this mean that Eugene and Rapunzel are in charge of Corona until her parents get their memories back I hope they aren't going to be memory-impaired throughout the season, and to be honest I think that Cass got the better end of the deal, she was raised by someone who really loves her unlike Rapunzel who was raised by a women who only pretended to love her and only used her to keep herself young and constantly put her down.

Hannah Skeldon he had a year. To you it might've been rushed, but in his perspective, he had a year to think this over and realize he doesn't want revenge. He doesn't want to hurt anyone like he thought he did. There was never joy when he was threatening someone. He served his time. Besides, he was never bad. He did bad things but his reasons are valid and clear. Like Spinel who was so actively abandoned and felt their friendship was unrequited like they were nothing but something you can use only to throw it away after. He wanted his dad back, he also wanted to start over. He didn't trust anybody to help him. Understandably, he just couldn't. He was betrayed seven times by the people who he saw as ultra friends, stalked and harassed by the king's guards for the scroll when he wasn't doing anything wrong, turned away multiples times, the king didn't care that old corona (Varian's home) was destroyed, and they weren't being understanding of his pain. Hardly. So Varian just wanted his dad back and it also took him a year to realize he also wants forgiveness and his friends back. He couldn't trust that the people of corona would ever forgive him or trust him again. He was always still the sweet, dorky cinnamon roll alchemist, but he was full of grief, rage, and heartbreak at the time. It wasn't about being turned away for the kingdom, they did have months, four months to be exact, but the stupid writing thinks it was just that one time he was turned away and betrayed. But still, despite the things I have a hard time forgiving and forgetting about, I'm happy how the premiere ended and that everybody is actually being better people so it seems. Varian isn't being treated as unimportant like he was back in season one and seems to have more importance than we think. Although, now that it's convenient for the writers and Chris Sonnenburg, they seem to be advertising the crap out of Varian after telling the fans to stop talking about him. Kind of jerky of them.
@@ashebennett7726 yeah probaby the redemption itself took long enough. What was unnatural tho, was that because of three sentences and an explosion he turned from heartless to good. He changed sides very quickly. Maybe not unreal, but it feels unnatural.

Great start to a season. I was kind of shocked at the beginning because the theory about Cassandra being Gothel's daughter is true. I'm very happy Varian is back with his father!

You have no idea how happy I am that Varian is our friend again: I'm screaming with delight! And I'm on the verge of tears for the ending. Though you forgot to mention that this was the first time Varian was ever seen without gloves.
But as for this thing about Cassandra, I think there was always something bad about her. Rapunzel and absolutely everyone were never there for Varian so I don't blame him. But Cass has no reason to blame Rapunzel. She was rude, stubborn, secretive, savage and merciless: So of course she was over shadowed. And Gothel never loved either of them so why should she care?
I never said Cass was always evil, I meant there was always something that made her dislikeable. For crying out loud, she was always threatening people (even her friends) and trying to slash at them with weapons without mercy.
Fine! Cass was overshadowed, but Gothel didn't choose Raps, she chose the sundrop, she didn't care for either of them. Cass should be glad she got a better family. I was devastated about Varian but I think I can wait quietly for Cassandra to come back.

Great reaction I love Cassandra's villain song it's sad that Cassandra left Rapunzel and decided not to be her friend anymore or accept the fact that are sisters. But it's sadder that young Cassandra used to think she was the daughter that Mother Gothel loved until Rapunzel came along also then Gothel abandoned Cassandra for Rapunzel I like this episode too.

Cassandra will learn that wherever charmed life she thought Rapz had with their Mother wasn't nearly as much her wanting her freedom which Cass has in spades.

I think Cass knows that, but that isn't the point. Cass can see even from the flashback that Gothel was a poor abusive mother. I don't think she would ever make the charge that Gothel was a good person. However, the fact that Gothel was evil doesn't stop the fact that Cass has a connection to her, and loved her dearly as a child. You can't pick your family but you feel a strong connection to them. Cassandra felt abandonment and loss and jealousy that her own mother would pick another over her. This is basically a last straw breaking the camel's back situation. Cass already felt low self-worth and constantly outshined by Rapunzel. This was just too much.
The history of Cassandra is so sad😭😭😭but the end it's so cool🥰🥰😍😍

Honestly, that weird ghost kid told Cassandra all that stuff that she is Gothel's daughter. Who says this is not Zhan Tiri lying his ass off at Cass to manipulate her? They had all sorts of illusion stuff in that house, there is no 100% guarantee that this is the truth. Why would Gothel have a daughter just to abandon her in the first place?
Nah, I am not completely sold. I think that girl was either Zhan Tiri or Gothel's spirit, but that solely happened to manipulate Cassandra.

I also react to the series as you know and I really want to react to it as blind as possible. I had no idea we would get to see a young Cassandra and even if that doesn't give too much away, it does take that surprise away.

I was hoping you’d be reacting to this because believe me I am as excited and surprised as you are
I was absolutely petrified when we found out that Cass was officially Mother Gothel's daughter. I never wanted to believe it but now I know it's true. I guessed Varian at first but then I thought of Andrew. I couldn't believe I was right about Andrew, but I never thought that Varian would team up with him. At that point I just wanted to give up on the show. I felt like I couldn't take it anymore. I was so scared I felt like throwing up. (Thank god I can't. LOL!) Anyways after they threw Raps and her gang out the castle with the gas Varian made for them, I thought it was interesting that Varian was starting to care about Rapunzel again. Then that scene where Raps was trapped in that prison cell and she was finally talking to him about why she couldn't help him during the time of the storm, I was amazed to see how patient Varian was. He was actually listening to her. I couldn't believe it. He still cared about their friendship. Then just moments later when Andrew revieled the new plan about using his experiment that he messed up as a bomb to drop down on Corona, I was really curious about what Varian was going to do. When he took out one of his ball bombs and demanded Andrew and his gang to step inside the cell that was behind them, I screamed with excitement. Just pure joy when he FINALLY redeemed himself. I just couldn't believe it. My little buddy is FINALLY back to normal. I was so happy! Then the part that everyone had been waiting for for almost two years finally came. The moment where Rapunzel freed Quirin from his amber encasement. OH MY GOD I WAS SO ECSTATICED! We started off so horribly wrong with Cassandra, but it was all worth it in the end when we finally got to see Varian redeeming himself and finally being reunited with his father again. I'm so glad I survived through this episode, because if I hadn't and I turned it off, I would've been very disappointed with myself for missing Varian's redemption arc and being reunited again with his father. That was the moment the fandom had been waiting for all along. I'm so glad I didn't miss it. I can't wait to see where our final season takes us. I'm Ready As I'll Ever Be!

I think it's Varian being patient. Varian being empathetic and patient is more in line with his characterization than secretly being connected to MAGIC of all things. I think that is why he was able to snap Rapunzel out of her trance.

I love that you just cry and tear up and give 2 sh*ts what anyone else thinks. That...was brutal, even for me. Even when at the season 2 finale, when I had a feeling she was something Gothel due to her “be careful who you trust line” like in the movie. Ah, I was a crying mess. I still am. Where’s that Buzz Lightgear meme with “Emotions. Emotions everywhere.”
I'm still annoyed at the plot-line for moon-bashing. I've been reading about Greek Mythology and to them the moon wasn't about decaying and withering, it was Artemis - chastity, the hunt, protector of young girls. She was strong and powerful like her twin brother Apollo god of the sun and music (among other things) was.
Rapunzel is going through the 5 stages of grief. Cassandra doesn't have all the powers of the moonstone. Half of the power of the moonstone went into Rapunzel's hair when she touched the black rocks. You should do a second part.
They pulled a Mindful Education lol I don't trust that blue ghost, esp when she's trying to get Cassandra to fester in rage and hatred. There's definitely more to this reveal.

I got to stick up for Varian for a second here. I don't condone what he did. He went off the flipping deep end toward the end of season 1, but I think the real issue with Varian that seems to get glossed over is that he felt Rapunzel didn't care about him and he just wanted some kind of support even if she couldn't actually free her father. She couldn't help him during the blizzard disaster but I feel when everything settled down she should have gone to see him at least to see if he was OK and offer emotional support. I know Rapunzel was left traumatised by the tough decisions she had to make and she needed a breather to collect herself but I was disappointed that she didn't bother with checking up at any point after the fact until he sends her a letter in "search for Varian" episode. It came across like she was deliberately ignoring him and I honestly feel the writers dropped the ball on this one. I would be more on Rapunzel's side and condemn Varian more if she showed up on his door step to check in on him and he was like "screw you go away," but it didn't play out that way. There is also the situation the Varian keeps "whining" about how "everyone turned their back on me and my father" implying that no one was willing to help him because of the rumor he attacked Rapunzel (we are not shown this but he brings this up more than once) which makes the fact he felt abandoned a little more painful. I don't agree with Varian projecting blame for his dad's entrapment onto Rapunzel (because he clearly does) because that HIS fault NOT Rapunzel's... but I also feel he had reason feel disappointed in Rapunzel as a friend and Angry over it. Again I don't agree how he went about it but still. So yeah that's my defense of Varian...
Considering Varian was already set on revenge by the end of Queen for a day. I think something worse would have happened to raPunzel than a "screw you"
@Jeku I don't know if Rapunzel checking in on Varian would have changed what went down, but it certainly didn't help that she didn't even try to see what could have been done after the fact (even if it was just to lend a shoulder to cry on and suggest a way to help him) instead of him stewing in grief, feeling dismissed and abandoned and like no one cared about him or his father. And if she did those things and he still spat in her face and blamed her, she at least could say she tried to do right by him by showing up at the earliest opportunity to try to help him. And if he is still accusatory and wrathful? Well, at least she made the effort to lend a helping hand and support. What rubs me wrong about the conflict between Varian and Rapunzel is that it relies too heavily on making Varian unreasonable and selfish and coddling Rapunzel.
I mean Rapunzel probably thought along the lines of "If Varian still needed help he he would have come back by now, since he didn't his probably okay now" I mean yeah I guess she could have checked on him but knowing how rapunzel can be a.... ditz sometimes... and also some people DO think like that... it would explain why rapunzel acted in the next episode after the storm.
I get why people didn't like what she did but I also understand the way rapunzel thinked. People seem to FORGET that just because rapunzel is 18+ she has the mind of that age. Rapunzel can be clueless, oblivious to dangers, emotional, reckless, and still a child at heart/mind, touchy. SHE MAKES MISTAKES, SOME BIG ONES. SHE WAS still LEARNING that time. You can see how much she grew in season 3. How she didn't repeat his mistake Varian.
She still had a lot to learn at the time and can MAKE "STUPID" decisions
I agree with people that what she did wasn't the smartest thing ever but I also LOOK THROUGH HER PERSPECTIVE instead to joining the mob with pitchforks against her.
@Jeku she's a flawed character who isn't allowed to be too flawed because she is a Disney princess, and for marketing reasons, she has to stay relatively perfect and everyone else has to be more in the wrong than her. Though I disagree that she is a ditz. Rapunzel is a straight thinking girl who is upbeat and cheery. I love that they allow her to be chipper and positive since I think now a days the media is over saturated with sarcastic over serious female characters so that they come off as smart and capable...or not a ditz. I love her as a character. She is my favorite Disney princess now. It is why I can be critical of her character, too. Honestly, I just did not care for the writing for her when it came to both her conflict with Varian and Cassandra (especially Varian). I try not to be one of them, but I agree that Rapunzel gets demonized too much even when I agree with SOME of the criticism against her, I see where people who rage at her are coming from. Rapunzel is probably the most in-depth disney princess the lineup currently.

I think the priemers was good and now we know that Cassandra is the real Cassandra and is going from be on rod the antagonists this season and zantiri will be the big bad and the song Cass had was great I still think she will have a villain song in Cassandra's revenge as well but this was a pretty good song I really like it can't wait till the next episode.
