That choice of music to go with that video.
The motion of the ocean and the funky music perfect match. First time Steve was speechless.👍
First time? Hmmmm, maybe the second….
I got to witness the same thing a bunch of years ago. Very cool. I am always amazed by the tenderness they have for each other during this phase yet the male is perfectly willing and capable of killing cubs (not sure if they would kill their own) to free up a female for mating. Nature is amazing and tough.
Oh! The bears rolling around! Thank you - amazing camera catch!🎉
Wow, just wow. Thanks so much for sharing this with us .
Obviously it’s been a long winter and practice makes perfect.
It’s that time, came out of hibernation and woke up … frisky.
That was awesome, Steve! Thanks so much for sharing your morning with us!
Glad you enjoyed it
AWESOME! Congratulations on being able to deliver your comments with no more than a coy smile. Great content again. Heading your way in about ten days, just hope the bears are still accessible and the crowds are still manageable. Miss the good old days when April in the Tetons was you, a Ranger and two others along the roadside. Keep up the amazing work and thanks for sharing.
Yep, those days are long gone unfortunately
That is one in a million catch.
Absolutely fun! As always, thanks so much for your photography in the Grand Tetons.
Thanks for watching!
That’s epic!!! I want to fly here now!
Steve brings his own luck!

Ok, I have been to Yellowstone in the winter, and Tetons and Yellowstone in the fall, I guess I need to make a trip next springs to see it then.

Enjoyed the video! Great to see the bears being bears. The music and the drums, nice touches. 😂

Surprised we didnt see them smoking a cigarette. Lol
That's a banger of a video! :).
Appreciate it!
😮the neighbors are watching guys!!😊
Nice! Didn't get to see anything like that this weekend, but did get to see the Blue Angels and use the Z8 with the plane AI detection set and was able to get some shots of one of their breaks (and a few others) :)
Fun!
Amazing..... yep!
Thanks!!
Video + lucky action 😂
Amazing to see mating at this time of the year, maybe this was just practise!! I've been told numerous times that actual development of the fetus waits till later in the year if the condition of the female is such that she has or is in condition to have a successful pregnancy . Perhaps this was just practise !!! Great footage none the less. Here in the Great White North, our famous grizzly "The Boss* was out and about around the end of February which is normal for him. Great video, take care.
🐻🐻👍👍
The music definitely made the video. LOL
Awesome! Im coming in 2 weeks. really hoping to find a few bears. bringing the 600 f4
Good luck!
how awesome was that!! Steve, do you give guided tours through the tetons? if so, i'd like some information please
Yep. Visit stevemattheis.com
Lucky bears, lucky photographers!
True!
I need a cold shower now!
Hey Steve, love the videos. Are you still using the Flexshooter?
Yes! But mostly for birds in flight. I've been using a fluid head more often since I shoot a lot of video too...
OMG, its Friend Shaped Friends™!
Hmmm, I don’t know what that means…
X rated!
Nah. R maybe 😂
Awesome footage! Any idea which bears these are?
I could guess but they weren’t tagged so it would be a guess…
Dang feel like I need to smoke a cigarette after that, and I don't even smoke
Great capture. Did you use your, apparently favorite, 400mm or something longer?
The 180-600
@@SteveMattheis I look forward to hearing what you think about that lens.
lol 😂
Bears mate in the spring? Or just practice?
Typically May through June, but this seems awfully early…
Did they leave you their only fans page 🤪
... he could be anywhere by now .......................... as he appears on your back seat 😎
Nice grizzly recovery documentary
Ha!
