Yep, a store I love to frequent! The entire crew is the best out there, a fun place for sure. I've been in Bloomington since 1968, Johnson Hardware has helped me out countless times maintaining my 1950's home. Gene
THEY ARE CLOSING - Confirmed by an associate producer that worked with me on this UA-cam video. Apparently the deal has been in the works for the past year, and the hardware store itself (according to sources yet to be names -- uhoh, fake news?) will be demolished by the developer that cut the deal.
Very sad to report that Johnson Hardware is closing on May 1, 2018. Great sale on all merchandise going on at the moment. I heard the story correctly the site was purchased for a building project. These mom & pop places are endangered species.
Support the little stores and stop giving you hard earned money to millionaires. Support the little stores because if we loose them, they will never come back.
