You did a fine job on rebuilding all the components on the Willys. Nice summer top. Next let's see you pull the trailer. I have a 55 Willys Wagon 4x4 SBC owned it for 50 years.
I bought a “extra” Jeep for parts. It came with a total metal top. Doors, had sliding plexiglass windows. All aluminum. When you sat in it your thoughts would echo. I couldn’t wait to get it off and pass it on to somebody else. The older I get. I sort of wished that I would have kept it.😂 The 46 that I 17:56 kept had a black vinyl top with doors and all. It seemed to me when I drove it in the winter. It just kept fogging up and was as noisy as could be. I think I just gave that one away. And drove it to work in the winter topples. Big parka and snowmobile pants.
Likewise. Over 25 years ago in Northern Arizona I bought my first Jeep, a '48 CJ2A, and at the time the only top I was able to find for it new was a black vinyl Bestop. Good top, but not original and, as you recalled, a box of fog in the winter with doors closed. As parts and other Jeeps accumulated (they do find each other like stray dogs) I ended up with an early '46 with aluminum Pentagon Arctic Top. Though I bought that one (non running) for the top I never used it (didn't fit well in it anyhow at 6 foot +) and sold it to someone as a 'project' as I was leaving the state.
That's exactly why I made the video. I couldn't easily find one that explained it all before I got the top bows and canvas. But now that I've messed with one, it makes more sense. Hope it helps someone out there along the way.
Might help installing the bar from the top frame to the windshield if the windshield is unhooked and allowed to travel slightly forward.@@SunkCostGarage
I just installed soft top and top bar kit from Kaiser and found the side snap button strap aligned perfectly with the forward vertical. Which way did you decide to go? Forward to door top or backward to top bar?
Jeep sounds good too, well done

Great job,I like the color.
Not much head room. I'm going to order one for my 3a. My windshield is a few inches taller than the 2a it'll probably help with head room. Looks good!

I’ve seen very few videos on the soft top and bows, thanks for making it! Nice job.

That looks _really_ sharp!
Thank you, I'm very pleased with how it came out and how so far I haven't gotten sunburned too bad from driving this summer.
Jeep is looking better
comment for the algorithm

Mine are actually just hanging loose for the time being. I need to take the passenger side bow pocket off and weld in a replacement that isn't bent.
Where did you get those caps from ?
They were in stock at Kaiser Willys though a couple of the usual suppliers have them.
