Great vid! Just to let the viewers know, RVC Tower will no longer be for 1st-year students next year, it will only be the West Wing. The West Wing rooms are bigger, especially those in the hallways (about twice the size of the tower room), and bathrooms are also cleaner.
Thanks for the video - I am forwarding this for my 2nd daughter. I wish my daughter will choose McGill (she got accepted for Chem. and BioChem.and coming from Zurich, Switzerland as a French student) but I think RVC is better than Douglas for just location-wise :-) Yes, she also a music student who plays cello since she was 6 yrs-old.
Hello! First of all I just wanted to say your videos are really cool and helpful as as I'd like to get into McGill for fall 2025. I wondered if you could make a video about how scolarships work and how you can get them, especially as an international student ? Anyway, thank you for your videos§
hi! i’m an out of province canadian student and managed to get a major entrance scholarship. There are entrance scholarships that you’ll automatically be considered for based on your grades, but also major entrance scholarships (ones that can be renewed) that you have to apply for by writing some short essays. Once you get a major entrance scholarship it will replace your original entrance scholarship.
Hi Loved the video, however I was wondering how the shared housing fits into this, I got accepted to McGill and the shared housing residences (like 506 des Pins Montreal for example) were one of the options for residences but I can't seem to find a lot of information on them. How would they rank compared to the other residences?
Hey! I’ve only been in one of these houses, and I didn’t have the option to choose them in my first year. I think they used to be mostly for grad students, but McGill just added them to the “quiet residences” for the 2024 school year. From what I can tell they’re similar to Solin in terms of being more apartment style and being excluded from the mandatory meal plan, but are closer to campus and older… this is an old video I found that shows you more of the inside: ua-cam.com/video/Q_jIPXxnTUU/v-deo.htmlsi=yiim7dKh8J1TLZAG
Great video! Scouting residences for Fall 2024 and this is the best and most extensive McGill dorm tour video that I have seen.
Thank you!! Glad it helped :)
I'm doing the same rn 😭😭
sameeee
Loved the way each student showed their residence - great video!
this is such a well crafted video and really helpful!!

Oh I had no idea about that, thank you for sharing!
super helpful video! Thank you so much!
Thanks, nicely done
The match cut in the Upper Residence section is still just as excellent the second time.
You're such a real one

Nice
How long does mcgill take to make a decision
I think it's mid May at the latest: www.mcgill.ca/undergraduate-admissions/apply/admission-decision-dates
How is it there if ur not fluent in French?
I don’t think it’s too bad to get by in Montreal with just English, but I think McGill itself will require that you take some French classes
RVC is not #1 💀
Which one is then 🤔
