      Glad you guys enjoyed this one! I want to do more of these in the future. I showed off raw copies of each card because Beckett's website doesn't include any pictures of the cards in a slab or sales data so it's tougher to do these unlike PSA's website. The Griffey UD was the card I chased the hardest as a young lad in '89. I only ever pulled 2, despite opening God only knows how many packs (I also really wanted the Dale Murphy Rev Neg). The Donruss Griffey, on the other hand, I couldn't seem to avoid pulling. I had 8 or 9 at one point and was trading them to my neighbor (probably for Greg Jefferies, and a Bill Ripken scribble card...smart move). Thanks for taking me down memory lane!
    Interesting footnote: In 2013 I sent one of the UD Griffey cards I had pulled and kept safely stored in to be graded. I got a PSA 9 (I always knew it was a very clean card). It will never be sold. It is nice to have a piece of my childhood slabbed.

    I have all most all of his rookies ungraded :( lol. Wish I knew if any of the graded 10 cards were submitted to PSA or Beckett under their cheapest grading price or if all the 10's were graded under their full price grading. Obviously you'd have to know before hand that your card is pretty dang mint. Like my Upperdeck Griffey has a tiny 1/4" crease on the back left side that I didn't notice when I was a kid. Don't think I have any of the Tiffany Topps or Bowman...??? don't those Tiffanys' have a white back??? I just hope when I finally get them out of the attic they weren't leaked on by the roof or that racoons made a nest out of them. :D Almost forgot. Can you cover Ken Griffey Jr's Minor league cards? I think I have the set of 8-15 cards that somewhere they said they were worth like $600 a piece, I think????

  • @kev0lution

    I love buying 9's for all the cheap prices opposed to the huge price tag on the 10's. Because I know as long as there are collectors and if you choose to invest today in just tons of 9's rather than the expensive 10's, SURE in 20 to 25 years all the 10's MAY BE worth that fortune of an investment but I bet the 9's will still be much in demand as well and not too far behind in value.

    • @jimmy_iKoN
      @jimmy_iKoN 2 роки тому +1

      I personally don't even see why people buy 10's. The grading is always subjective. One grader calls it a 9 or 10 other calls it an 8.5.. I'd rather just buy a nine of anything even if I was super rich.

    • @kev0lution
      @kev0lution 2 роки тому +1
