Very nice instructional I just ended up cutting through the rubber and breaking the old pins after I got the rubber off as the tools I had with me were better equipped for the cutting and breaking
@@WanderToGetLost oh definitely happy with how tight they are now. Not even a little bit of flutter like it had been before. It happened going down the road and met a semi truck on a windy day! Thankfully I didn't lose the top part of the latch I'm in Canada and dodge said a new one of those alone is $100! Just the single top piece.
Did this to both mine and the wife's JK; what hood flutter! Also installed the "BOLT" hood lock. I didn't like that anyone at anytime could just lift my hood and take my battery or whatever else they wanted.

Just got these after one of mine broke on my 2012 I was so worried I was doing it wrong because it was so darn tight. I hope they loosen a bit
They loosen a bit in warm weather, but being tight is good, No chance of hood flutter anymore.

Does it cause the hood paint to touch the fender? I’m worried about paint rubbing off due to it touching the fender

Desert Maverick makes a huge difference. You notice it once you make the change.
