Most of these have since been replaced by new versions done by Velina Mitchell. Charlie remains for announcing the doors closing and the train arriving at its last stop.

When I first heard 1:51, I was on an (N) that was rerouted over the (Q). It was on the express track and we stopped just passed Avenue J. This announcement played and everyone got mad, then 30 seconds later, we started to move again.

It's still there; they didn't bother to delete it but they didn't bother to remake it either. I can confirm this because someone sent me a picture of the special automated message screen and it's the first one there. But conductors just say it themselves because it isn't updated.

Does the train operator have a switchboard with all these announcements or are they dispatched remotely? Anyone know?

criswphoto some are automatic, while the others can be chosen by the operator. For example, the announcement about leaning on the doors would be automatic, while the delay would be manual.

All of these are controlled by the conductor. There is a panel for announcements via the operating screen in the cab, or the door warning button for the door announcements.
