0:50 The Linux community is putting in a lot of effort to build tools that translate DX12 calls directly to Vulkan, and it's working. I don't own any games that use DX12 myself, but a lot of people say it already works very well. Somewhat paradoxically, the project is even supported by Apple.
Why would i want to pick Vulkan over DirectX 12, And Why Am I Currently Looking Into Doing It? So I Can Finally Play DX12 Windows 10 Only Games On My Windows 7 Daily Driver. Windows 10 and 11 has too much spyware and bloatware, microsoft spyware is my main issue, that and the lack of Aero Themes With Proper Transparency.
@@PieterPatrick there's still a vary high probability that some of Microsofts disabled spyware would ignore those settings, like how edge kept opening despite not being in program files, I couldn't locate edge at all, it may have happened only that once on that os install, however it still ignored being deleted and somehow had a hidden backup and was still a full fledged browser, I got vary concerned that day about. nevertheless even when I could get Windows 10 to a acceptable state of honoring personal privacy, I would still choose to operate a Windows 7, the rounded corners and Aero Glass with transparency in all the right areas that Windows 10 simply refuses to get right, Windows 7 is a beauty I won't abandon until Windows 10, 11 and the future 12 gets right along side with a acceptable state of honoring personal privacy.
For me DirectX 12 has no benefits. Vulkan and DirectX 12 are literally the same, both work the same and both equally hard. The difference is only that Vulkan works on everything that has screen. Cross-platforming is a great benfit, as you write the renderer once and forget about porting.

I'd really like to see actual in-game stats rather than hearsay. Could you upload some simple benchmarks?

Vulkan for me. Simply because the whole point of DirectX is to monopolise the gaming market for PC.
