You missed your chance to get your go pro back!! You should have had one of the Moken villagers dive to get it. You get your camera back, they get a lttle money. LOL
Also, a future trick for getting something of the bottom in deeper water (40 feet or less) Take a line, tied to an extra anchor or weight and drop it near the item on the sea floor. Then use the line to quickly pull yourself down to the bottom to get it and return to the surface using the line. Of course a BLU3 works even better.
Thankyou for the tip. We tried it. After letting our stern anchor out for 75 feet, we still didn't reach the bottom. The mooring was at 80 feet and the drop off was steep.

@the_reeva_project Now, it makes total sense. At 80 feet, all you can hope for is that suddenly 60 feet of watwr will evaporate. That is a tough loss.
