I was about to start sanding those plastic tabs, but decided to do a search first and found this video. Thanks for sharing. It removes the tactile feedback but does seem to fix the sticking.
Thank you so much mate. I'm able to fix the sticky button by following your instructions. It's shame Gulikit charge us nearly $70 for this problematic controller. I newly bought and just an hour use this controller, the B button start to stick. So i start disassembly by my self by following your video and the sticky button is no more.
oh yeah. i took my controller apart to fix my trigger. the bracket broke so i used Loctite plastic glue to bond it back together. meanwhile i was checking your vid to fix the annoying button issue. thank you!
This works, but be aware that the buttons will feel pretty mushy after you do this. It feels like they have very little travel and really do not feel great.
I guess I got lucky, I heard about the issues of the earlier batches so I was tempted to buy the white version instead, too the plunge for the black instead and all is good cept for the spring of the right sting being a little loose
Thanks! Perfect solution the 90° turn case of switch. Gulykit should be implementing it in his entire assembly line 😅 otherwise the ing of these controls is impressive.
Thank you as far as others say. Mine is new so it feels the same as the other 3 buttons at the moment. It's problynthe spring in others controllers and they might be able to find something with more spring somewhere online. It could be their difference maybe.
my buttons were so squeaky and creaky so I tried silicon grease on the edges of the buttons which did nothing since the problem was coming from inside the switch. I rotated the switch like you and it's the perfect controller now. I almost ruined the battery cable tho and had to disassemble and reassemble a few times to get the bumpers working right again cause i'm a noob.
thanks for the guide even if I can barely understand what you're saying. hated the button sticking and it makes it difficult for fighting games and quick time events.
Hello my friend, thank you for your video. I want to know if you think it's easy to disassemble the controller for a guy not good at all in this? Let me explain to you, my B button and the others next to it make spring noises, the controller is new, I just received it. Do you think I should ignore this? Thank you and also where did you buy the Playstation cover for Joystick? Really cool :D
I would say it’s like putting a complicated lego. To someone who comfortable with dismantling stuff, this is easy. For newbie, you just need to be details. Best practice is to take pictures when removing electronics when you don’t have a detail guide. About the squeaky noise, I think it just a preference, some people don’t care, some care. Unless it’s stuck, i think you can ignore it if you don’t mind the sound. In the video also i mentioned points where you can lube the switch if you want to keep the tactile feeling. If you ever lube a keyboard switch, it will be a similar experience. If not, just turn it to linear. It’s a cheap silicon thumbstick cover. Got it for free when I bought a game.

I did test it but just with the housing part, seems to work fine. - It seems the usual suspect is the B button. If that the case you don't need to disassemble all the way like OP did. The same with A button. - You can push back both triggers just by loosening its screws (the ones that facing the middle), so then you can take the first board out without much struggle. Or just disassemble both of them, to your liking.
