@yanal.k.2355 some children are born psychopaths, which gives you the courage and lack of empathy to do these things. But it is up to them, they make these choices so no kids aren't born evil but they're born with tremendous opportunities to become these evil people. Psychopaths are known for their constant boredom and need for some kind of adrenaline, they're known for not having any empathy whatsoever, no remorse, etc. These things will 100% at least make them think about doing horrible things since they basically don't care about people, but some of them choose not to and that's not to say they all are thinking of committing these crimes, but if they did, which they usually do, it will make it a lot easier for them to go through with it and not feel any type of emotion like regret or guilt.

I personally think he killed Adam Walsh but didn't confess to it because Adam was a small child and you get treated badly in prison for crimes against kids and he can't give a good excuse for why he killed him that would put him in a sympathetic light. Serial killers always try to find a way to explain/excuse their abhorrent actions in a way that doesn't make them look as bad as they already do. Jeffrey's is "I killed them so they wouldn't abandon me." "I drugged them so they wouldn't feel pain" Even though it takes 5 minutes to strangle someone to death. You should take what serial killers say with a grain of salt.
Yes. Made everything worse. He used it to lower his inhibitions and work up the "courage" to do what he did. If there was no alchohol involved maybe it would have forced him to really address his issues and get help, instead of numbing the pain
People drink to numb pain. I was an alcoholic for decades but am now 11 years sober (began drinking at 12-13 years old). I couldn’t face the abuse and neglect from growing up. Kids don’t drink unless terrible things are happening at home. I remember this case as a kid.

If he constantly went out cruising on Saturdays, then he may have had more than 17 victims 😮! The 2nd victim was never found 😢. Did the police ever check on more missing males during the 80s in that area and beyond that area? And… how did JDevil get the prescriptions filled for 3 years? Automatically? No one asked about the refill? 😮. This is beyond horrific even so many years later 😢.
I think they felt he was pretty truthful in his confession and therefore didn’t really investigate the possibility of more victims. There is a theory that he killed Adam Walsh as he was in that area of Florida at the same time, so who knows. Not sure why he would admit to such horrific stuff and leave other victims out of it.
He was out a lot and got drunk in different bars yes, but very often he just came home without taking anybody with him. Also there were some months where he tried but failed to take somebody home. I also don‘t think he would let another victim out in his confessions.
The prescriptions are the least of the oversights -he could've gone doctor shopping, after all he knew what symptoms it took to get them prescribed, switching to a different physician after a while - this guy was serving parole for SA-ing a minor during the time of the murders and he didn't get violated once! Even after the police were called when the kid escaped and they handed him back to him, or him leaving town, or him having dead bodies and human remains openly in literally every corner of his apartment his P.O. didn't even visit him once. This guy fell through so many cracks!
@@G274Me because he took some of his secrets to his grave and he was afraid of how the detective kennedy would react to such an admission. He admitted to what evidence they found in his apartment and what could be found at his parents and grandmothers
Super intense description and watching the docu series makes it 100% more horrendous😔 I’m deeply sorry to the victims families having to live and listen to this🥺
I agree, I think the worst part of all this (being after the fact, of course), is that the families had to learn of how their love ones were duped, sexually assaulted, and (in many cases) tortured. I can't imagine how they've recovered from learning this.
Imagine how much different this guy dahmer would be in todays age with gay acceptance and online dating which supports that sexuality. Wouldn’t have been rejected the same way. Or less of a chance at least.
You dont realize how disturbed and scary this man was w/o hearing it from the people that were in this case and around him. This is the real life boogeyman that you see in movies
Yes, and back when he was doing most of his killing, he was a fairly decent-looking guy, and not the weirdo that he looks like after years in prison. He was a typical charm-and-harm predator, who could turn on that charm while duping a victim and luring them into his lair....and then, like all predators, that predatory switch flips on like flipping a light switch on, and you see the REAL monster.
Now that everyone watched the new Netflix serious on him, everyone is now a lawyer, Doctor, criminal investigator etc... 🤔🤔🤔🤣🤣😂😂 I'm just hear for the comments and arguments 😂😂😂
The problem with a dramatisation like that is that it makes the whole thing pass into legend and subverts and muddies the original perception of the evidence in real life. Jeffrey Dahmer's case was one I originally researched in 2007, then continually revisited that research in 2013 and 2017. This including collecting case files, evidence, videos, etc, everything I could get my hands on in its original format (if possible). The Netflix thing and the new documentary has completey distorted and muddied perceptions. A lot of the definitve and original details have been lost or forgotten with this case's renewed interest amongst a younger generation. I don't think henceforth discovering the Dahmer murders (after Netflix) is going to be the same as it once was...a lot of objectivity seems to have been thrown out of the window. Dahmer was caught in the year that I was born. 🤔
How in the hell!!! could you not search garbage bags in the back seat of a car that's out driving around at 3:00 in the morning. When some peoples' (?) entire car is searched if they're out at 3:00 in the afternoon?!!!
That's because he was. He was not a psychopath, so he felt regret and empathy and all that. He didn'tt even like the killing part. He just couldn't stop the horrible things he did.
@ThePaletteWhisperer ASMR - He didn't like his homosexuality, he struggled with it. He didn't want any man to do anything sexually to him. He wanted to do it with them and have the control.
Reported that other kids at school noticed him getting drunk at school at 8 - 9 o'clock in the morning. Seens like there's no reports what the school did and what his parents did. Drinking whiskey 🥂 at 9am, alarm dells ringing. Mother moved away when he was 18, and only saw jeff just the once in person from then. Just because you know something is wrong in the eye's of the law, dose this make a person sane?
Funny how EVERYBODY that didn't know Dahmer are flocking to these videos after watching the Netflix series. Remember, the series changes things for dramatic purposes, people's names etc.
@@bellissima78 yes, they also changed things for dramatic purposes. The one that got away, was never gay, did not meet Dahmer in a gay club. But the show shows us that they met at a gay club.
Soo what's funny?.. Flocking to these videos (real videos) would be a good thing. Now, they can learn more and facts. Netflix exposed many people to the story and they did good enough job to tell the story. By watching film from the trial, it only makes it better....
And ? Knowing Dahmer case then and now doesn’t change the fact that it was a monster! The Netflix series may have changed things here and there but it showed what a monster he was so I done really see the point of your comment !Lol It wasn’t necessary to use “flocking” lol
Female defence lawyers either side of Dahmar don't batter an eyelid from all the horrific testimony. No qualms about the monster sitting between them. They all then adjourned for lunch which I'm sure they enjoyed without a second thought 🙄
The blonde said later she was horrified. She had spoken to jeff for many hours so she had heard and read and studied it all for many hours. It’s their job also to lend their conduct to the dignity of the proceedings so they are not supposed to show emotions
When you think of the things mentioned in the news, they aren't the most interesting aspects of the case. Simply throwing out words like 17 homicides, gays, blacks, minorities, cannibalism, drilling holes in skulls and injecting acid - those things presented in raw form aren't anywhere near as interesting as the details of say Tuomi's body after death and how it was transported and disposed of, the thinking behind Doxtator's death, the way that Sears approached Dahmer at a club (La Cage) and Dahmer wasn't even looking for a victim at that time (and Sears' friend who said Dahmer was ok to go with when he asked him). Then there's the Tony Hughes affair that took a year to "come to fruition" in Dahmer's terms, the way Errol Lindsey died on the way to get a key cut and pick up some milk, the way Dahmer started sourcing victims in Chicago where their disappearance would attract less attention due to it being a much larger city (and how he caught buses there and back after luring in a victim). The most interesting aspects of the case are barely mentioned by the media.
Disturbing yet interesting to listen to. The whole thing about suppressing the more "normal" human behaviours like masturbation and just his general homosexuality seems like an unhealthy thing to do. That's something everyone does and it's okay. Of course the things he was fantasising about were far from okay but I do wonder if he had been able to be openly gay would he be different? I kinda doubt it though because it sounds like the weird thoughts were always there, the not wanting partners to move around during sex and stuff is very odd so there's no wonder he couldn't form normal relationships. But I just think not engaging in his more 'normal' human desires does not sound like a healthy thing. I understand he was excessive with his habits and that was a problem but in general I don't think it should be something anyone should try to suppress because I feel like that in itself can cause deviant type behaviour. But that's just a theory. I just wonder where these gross things came from, was it always there or was it created due to the activities he was getting involved in from a young age with help from his dad?
I don't consider him someone who suppressed his sexuality. If he had dated women or was married or lived a double life, I would have agreed with you but he COMPLETELY AVOIDED WOMEN and was constantly at gay bars and bathhouses so which part that was about him suppressing his sexuality? He might not have told his parents but he actively practiced s homosexual lifestyle. I think people are always trying to find an explanation to blame for why he did what he did instead of just accepting it for what it is. Being sexually suppressed is not even related to cannibalism, taking pictures and storing bodies in acid so please stop it. It's disrespectful to the victims and their families to try to explain why what happened to the loved ones did
@@sarkie3927 I'm talking about the period of time when he was going to church with his grandmother, avoiding the gay bars, trying not to get involved in gay sex or even have thoughts about sex with men. During that time he beat up his roommates and r@ped them repeatedly. He also learned which drugs to use to make people fall asleep. He was always either planning or preparing himself even when he was not actively killing. The gay bars were just an easy place but even without them he would still have found a way. My point is 1. He is the only one giving information about why he is the way he is and he can add or remove information and nobody would know because they are full depending on one person for information which goes against science. 2. Even HE HIMSELF SAID HE DIDN'T KNOW WHY HE DID IT SO HOW SUCCESSFUL AND YOU GOING TO BE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT ONE MAN'S MIND when he's literally the only one giving you information. 3. It's like you people want to give reasons to JUSTIFY AND SATISFY your curiosity about WHY he did it, to have something to blame it on instead of blaming it on HIM. Blaming his childhood, the fact that he was lonely or his parents divorce doesn't JUSTIFY ANYTHING. People have gone through slavery and the Holocaust but didn't become serial killers, that's what annoys me about people like you. Probably not, if he was hit in the body he would have sort of felt those but barely because of the adrenaline rush he would have gotten in that moment, but once knocked unconscious it didn't matter how many times Scarver hit/bashed him, he wouldn't have felt a thing. Dahmer wanted to die, that's obvious, even without a weapon he could have easily taken Scarver on his own, Scarver was able to beat Dahmer and the other dude because Dahmer did nothing to defend himself, he wanted to die and welcomed it, he probably got satisfaction in his own demise, more than he did in his victims. Had he defended himself against Scarver he and the other dude would still be alive today even with Scarver having a weapon. So I highly doubt he was in any kind or type of pain, instead was more so sexually satisfied in his own end.

ALL of this could have been avoided if he was taught self cofidence and how to be assertive. Jeffrey Dahmer seemed to be too passive and when he got wasted he let out rage. He seemed to never be assertive at all, which made him snap I think.
Dont know about his upbringing and maybe some people are just born evil. He is also missing a moral compass. The way he narrated his crimes in such a matter or fact way it showed that he knew absolutely on a mental level that he was doing terrible things, that they were wrong. But unlike most normal people he lacks an emotional response to wrongdoing. Even at the end he is only feeling sorry for himself for being that way. No guilt, remorse, shame for the victims. He only wanted to fulfill his fantasies without any consideration of what others wanted.
I wonder if he only admitted to those that he had saved ID’s… and maybe a few more in his early years, but it seems like there may be many more idk I just don’t believe him. He knows how to lie…

I feel so ashamed to say that but somehow i can understand both sides.. I feel more than sorry for the victims and what happened to their families but at the same time Jeff is so interesting to me. I can't really explain it. Since the movie about Dahmer with Evan Peters, the documentaries, the book of his father, his interviews etc. i can also understand his mind. Still doesn't mean, that i accept and tolerate what horrible crimes he did. That's really tough. He was different than these other serial killers somehow.
Most of the people become interested in him and even falling in love when they think he is a cold blood killer just with soft voice and naive face. If to think that Jeff was a usual person with some communication problems, not rich, without car, working at quite simple place - so, he will be still not so attractive. People see others only in some context. Jeff was presented as a terrible completely immoral person, so peole react each in their ways. Just interesting to see it.

I feel the alcohol made his compulsions worse.
That and watching the exorcist over and over and working himself into a trance.
Alcohol is the real devil
Yes. Made everything worse. He used it to lower his inhibitions and work up the "courage" to do what he did. If there was no alchohol involved maybe it would have forced him to really address his issues and get help, instead of numbing the pain

Dahmer felt lost when he tried to be normal
He pleaded guilty to all 15 counts so this is just a hearing to find out from a professional if Jeffrey was sane or not.

Somewhat, it's also fair trial. Even if someone pleads guilty everyone is entitled to due process.
This was a trial to determine Dahmer's sanity.

They could have walked out just like any other court room
I think there is many more victims
@@G274Me because he took some of his secrets to his grave and he was afraid of how the detective kennedy would react to such an admission.
Seems like ever other person is popping up saying they went to school with Dahmer, sold groceries to him once, etc...

Funny how EVERYBODY that didn't know Dahmer are flocking to these videos after watching the Netflix series. Remember, the series changes things for dramatic purposes, people's names etc.
Ok what would be the point of changing things drastically in this case? He was a monster and these events sound more horrific in real life.
The names were the same. They took creative license with dialog to drive the plot.

He went 9 years without giving in to his urges after his first kill and then someone dropped a note in front of him when he was at the library asking him to meet in the bathroom for a BJ (which he didn't go through with) but it made him realise that he could be out there doing these things with men so you clearly don't know much about the case. People have careers based around trying to find out what drives these people to do what they do, wanting to know why, what caused it, whether he was born this way or created due to his childhood etc. So how is it disrespectful to want answers? That's a dumb statement.
@@lynsey4224 I know the case very well and HE NEVER SAID THOSE 9 YEARS WAS BECAUSE HE WAS AVOIDING GAY BARS, GOING TO CHURCH WITH HID GRANDMA ETC. YOU OBVIOUSLY SOUND LIKE THE ONE WHO DOESN'T KNOW THE CASE. After his first kill part of that time he spent r@ping his colleagues in the army in Germany, WITHOUT GOING TO ANY GAY BARS!!!
How do you think the victims families feel when people like you are trying to blame the death of their loved ones on someone's parents divorce or not so good childhood. YOU SOUND RIDICULOUS!

He died in pain just like his victims 🤨
Yeah I bet everyone feels like breaking for lunch after that. 🤮
Lol. Maybe they ate vegetarian lunch.
😂
😀My thoughts exactly.
I have a question If somebody have Hiv
If somebody like Jeffrey eat them Can he get Hiv?
I was asking myself the same question. If he cooked it probably not
@@Sam-dk3qn you know what I I typed it in online and it said the same thing that wants to flesh hit the heat or something it kills the AIDS and any type of disease so maybe now
HIV can only be contracted by direct blood to blood contact or sexual fluids. It cannot survive more than a second in the atmosphere
Dhamer perhaps was born to be the monster he turned out.He had the X factor that criminologists always talk about. Nothing would stop the beast inside.😢😢
Woah! I was like 6 when this happened so this is awesome. Lol
I was 2 years old 😢
I was 6 too
@@katolivares1055 Lisett we look amazing, doll!
We’re not impressed.
I haven’t born yet that time
When did Toby Maguire get in trouble?
It's Ryan Seacrest
@@megatherion2695 I thought he died @ Coachella when wild boars invaded his tent and woke up Amber Heard, which then stabbed Ryan.
SICKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK AND EVIL!!!!!!!
Omg....this guys lip smacking and throat clearing is so annoying! Hard to listen to the whole thing.
He was sick with the flu…that was determined in Part 1
Agalmatophilia sexual attraction to dolls statues or mannequins
I wonder what Freud would say about the Dr. fondling his pens most every time he mentions sexual acts!
People that kills so many people should be given the death penalty even if the state has banned it. I don't know, maybe after the third victim should become effective. I do feel empathy for Jeff and his parents though but it's extremely devastating what happened to these young men.
Jeff should've been instiutionalized and studied on. He was the perfect storm.
Essentially that's what he got. Just administered by an inmate
I couldn’t watch the Netflix movie. It’s just sickening. WOW
Yes you did that's why you're here
I wonder if Jeff was allowed to be openly gay and have a partner if things would have been different
He's no different than any of the rest. Completely self-serving.
Was Jeffrey Dahmer Gay or Bisexual?
Gay I
Think
This dude needs to take a drink of water.

Bath houses. Such a thing of the past. Even my college boyfriend (I'm a woman) went to one to use the hot tub for a romantic date. Just to be clear no funny business went on. Just a drink of 🍾 bubbly. The place really kinda turned us off. Must have been the energy as we're both empathetic.
Why the need to add that you’re a woman? Don’t want to come across as homosexual 🤔
Like Roman times or something lol
Disgusting
The fact he gave ppl sandwiches but never seen him food shop lets not forget the smell.. you can never put anything past a human!!!
I had ask question Did anybody see him shopping for food?
@@dontneednomanstoptelllingm8481 unless the neighbors were stalking him then no.
He had normal meat in his freezer as stated by the manager who checked but I think he ate mc Donald’s and junk food.
Th guy that lived across the hall from him says his ex wife lied about being given a sandwich.
