      @g not everyone is the same machine yes many had a horrible childhood but becoming a serial killer out of that depends on many factors some children are more vulnerable than others on top of it we dont really know how drugs taking by his mom while pregnant affected the infant but we are smart enough to understand it was dangerous for unborn child drugs she was taken was all of the benzos these kind of drugs are not a joke is easy to say he was an evil but no kid is born an evil....

    • @Seizuresalade
      @Seizuresalade 8 місяців тому +2

      @yanal.k.2355 some children are born psychopaths, which gives you the courage and lack of empathy to do these things. But it is up to them, they make these choices so no kids aren't born evil but they're born with tremendous opportunities to become these evil people. Psychopaths are known for their constant boredom and need for some kind of adrenaline, they're known for not having any empathy whatsoever, no remorse, etc. These things will 100% at least make them think about doing horrible things since they basically don't care about people, but some of them choose not to and that's not to say they all are thinking of committing these crimes, but if they did, which they usually do, it will make it a lot easier for them to go through with it and not feel any type of emotion like regret or guilt.

    • @Seizuresalade
      @Seizuresalade 8 місяців тому

      @@8luvbugi agree but your childhood doesn't have to be abusive in the sense of like physical abuse or psychological, for you to end up like this, your parents can literally make you a sociopath if they never bother to teach you basic empathy or emotions that are needed to be a good person(neglect), and/or if they never show you that THEY themselves possess this empathy. Empathy is taught and learnt usually, if a child never has an example of what it means to be a kind and empathic person, they will most likely become a sociopath.

      @@8luvbugthere was zero link between Dahmer and Hicks, he could have taken that information to his grave, but like he said he wanted to help identify the victims. If he willingly gave that information to police I doubt there would be other victims that he would have kept secret.

    • @8luvbug
      @8luvbug 11 місяців тому +3

      @@deedsyosu071 This is naive thinking. Serial killers spend most of their lives manipulating and deceiving people. If there's a victim they don't want people to know about for whatever reason they will not tell you. I personally think he killed Adam Walsh but didn't confess to it because Adam was a small child and you get treated badly in prison for crimes against kids and he can't give a good excuse for why he killed him that would put him in a sympathetic light. Serial killers always try to find a way to explain/excuse their abhorrent actions in a way that doesn't make them look as bad as they already do. Jeffrey's is "I killed them so they wouldn't abandon me." "I drugged them so they wouldn't feel pain" Even though it takes 5 minutes to strangle someone to death. You should take what serial killers say with a grain of salt.

    Quem iria dá voz de prisão???

      The problem with a dramatisation like that is that it makes the whole thing pass into legend and subverts and muddies the original perception of the evidence in real life. Jeffrey Dahmer's case was one I originally researched in 2007, then continually revisited that research in 2013 and 2017. This including collecting case files, evidence, videos, etc, everything I could get my hands on in its original format (if possible).
      The Netflix thing and the new documentary has completey distorted and muddied perceptions. A lot of the definitve and original details have been lost or forgotten with this case's renewed interest amongst a younger generation. I don't think henceforth discovering the Dahmer murders (after Netflix) is going to be the same as it once was...a lot of objectivity seems to have been thrown out of the window.
      Dahmer was caught in the year that I was born. 🤔

    When you think of the things mentioned in the news, they aren't the most interesting aspects of the case. Simply throwing out words like 17 homicides, gays, blacks, minorities, cannibalism, drilling holes in skulls and injecting acid - those things presented in raw form aren't anywhere near as interesting as the details of say Tuomi's body after death and how it was transported and disposed of, the thinking behind Doxtator's death, the way that Sears approached Dahmer at a club (La Cage) and Dahmer wasn't even looking for a victim at that time (and Sears' friend who said Dahmer was ok to go with when he asked him). Then there's the Tony Hughes affair that took a year to "come to fruition" in Dahmer's terms, the way Errol Lindsey died on the way to get a key cut and pick up some milk, the way Dahmer started sourcing victims in Chicago where their disappearance would attract less attention due to it being a much larger city (and how he caught buses there and back after luring in a victim). The most interesting aspects of the case are barely mentioned by the media.

    Disturbing yet interesting to listen to. The whole thing about suppressing the more "normal" human behaviours like masturbation and just his general homosexuality seems like an unhealthy thing to do. That's something everyone does and it's okay. Of course the things he was fantasising about were far from okay but I do wonder if he had been able to be openly gay would he be different? I kinda doubt it though because it sounds like the weird thoughts were always there, the not wanting partners to move around during sex and stuff is very odd so there's no wonder he couldn't form normal relationships. But I just think not engaging in his more 'normal' human desires does not sound like a healthy thing. I understand he was excessive with his habits and that was a problem but in general I don't think it should be something anyone should try to suppress because I feel like that in itself can cause deviant type behaviour. But that's just a theory. I just wonder where these gross things came from, was it always there or was it created due to the activities he was getting involved in from a young age with help from his dad?

      I don't consider him someone who suppressed his sexuality. If he had dated women or was married or lived a double life, I would have agreed with you but he COMPLETELY AVOIDED WOMEN and was constantly at gay bars and bathhouses so which part that was about him suppressing his sexuality? He might not have told his parents but he actively practiced s homosexual lifestyle. I think people are always trying to find an explanation to blame for why he did what he did instead of just accepting it for what it is. Being sexually suppressed is not even related to cannibalism, taking pictures and storing bodies in acid so please stop it. It's disrespectful to the victims and their families to try to explain why what happened to the loved ones did

People have careers based around trying to find out what drives these people to do what they do, wanting to know why, what caused it, whether he was born this way or created due to his childhood etc. So how is it disrespectful to want answers? That's a dumb statement.

YOU OBVIOUSLY SOUND LIKE THE ONE WHO DOESN'T KNOW THE CASE. After his first kill part of that time he spent r@ping his colleagues in the army in Germany, WITHOUT GOING TO ANY GAY BARS!!! During that time he beat up his roommates and r@ped them repeatedly. He also learned which drugs to use to make people fall asleep. He was always either planning or preparing himself even when he was not actively killing. The gay bars were just an easy place but even without them he would still have found a way.
      My point is 1. He is the only one giving information about why he is the way he is and he can add or remove information and nobody would know because they are full depending on one person for information which goes against science. 2. Even HE HIMSELF SAID HE DIDN'T KNOW WHY HE DID IT SO HOW SUCCESSFUL AND YOU GOING TO BE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT ONE MAN'S MIND when he's literally the only one giving you information. 3. It's like you people want to give reasons to JUSTIFY AND SATISFY your curiosity about WHY he did it, to have something to blame it on instead of blaming it on HIM. Blaming his childhood, the fact that he was lonely or his parents divorce doesn't JUSTIFY ANYTHING. People have gone through slavery and the Holocaust but didn't become serial killers, that's what annoys me about people like you. Dahmer wanted to die, that's obvious, even without a weapon he could have easily taken Scarver on his own, Scarver was able to beat Dahmer and the other dude because Dahmer did nothing to defend himself, he wanted to die and welcomed it, he probably got satisfaction in his own demise, more than he did in his victims. Had he defended himself against Scarver he and the other dude would still be alive today even with Scarver having a weapon. So I highly doubt he was in any kind or type of pain, instead was more so sexually satisfied in his own end.

    I feel so ashamed to say that but somehow i can understand both sides.. I feel more than sorry for the victims and what happened to their families but at the same time Jeff is so interesting to me. I can't really explain it. Since the movie about Dahmer with Evan Peters, the documentaries, the book of his father, his interviews etc. i can also understand his mind. Still doesn't mean, that i accept and tolerate what horrible crimes he did.That's really tough. He was different than these other serial killers somehow.

      Most of the people become interested in him and even falling in love when they think he is a cold blood killer just with soft voice and naive face. If to think that Jeff was a usual person with some communication problems, not rich, without car, working at quite simple place - so, he will be still not so attractive. People see others only in some context. Jeff was presented as a terrible completely immoral person, so peole react each in their ways. Just interesting to see it.
